Saw this on fb, and thought it would be fun to do here!
Now that I have a smartphone, I never wear a watch, remember phone numbers, or use my gps.
What's your answer? |

I no longer have an alarm clock. I set the alarm on my iPhone to wake me up as needed. NO need to worry about the power going out in the middle of the night and me being late for work!
I still wear a watch though because I'm a nurse and need it for pushing medications through patients' IV's over a certain amount of time. |

I never wear a watch or remember phone numbers which can be a problem if you forget your phone and have an emergency. I ran out the other day, heading to a camera repair shop in another county and forgot my phone. When I realized that I did not have it with me, I got to thinking, without that phone, I had no idea how to reach my DH or my children if I had a problem. All of their numbers are on the phone and I just don't bother memorizing them anymore. I need to write important numbers down and stick the list in my wallet so that I always have it with me. You never know when you might be out without your phone and have an emergency and need to reach someone.
I also never carry those store cards. They have been entered into an app on my phone and the stores scan them from there. I never carry a paper grocery list. It is all in an app called GroceryIQ. |

Oh, please tell me what App you use for that! I'd love to have a spot to keep them all organized! Didn't know there was an app for that
I just got my first smart phone in December, and already I use it for my alarm clock, and I don't look at the paper calendar anymore,I also prefer to listen to my music stations on it rather than regular radio. |

I now have more lists but they are all on my phone. No loosing my list someplace in the house. I almost always have my phone with me so I can just add items to my list at any time not giving me time to forget the item while looking for my list LOL. I used to have one maybe two lists and now I have a ton - I keep a running list for the stores I go to most often as there are some items that I regularly buy at only certain stores.
I have decided being able to have so many lists going on my phone is life changing - love it. I also just got my phone last month.
I know there are so many other things I can do but haven't done yet. I love being able to check my email, facebook, 2Peas and even being able to scan an item to see if it is cheaper at Amazon LOL.
I find that I am using my real camera less often which isn't a good thing I need to get back in the habit of carrying it as obviously the photos are better. I do love having a camera with me at all times though and love that it automatically uploads to my computer and that I don't have to remember to do anything. |

Never need an alarm clock.
Never use a kitchen timer.
Rarely use sticky notes
Don't need a mileage log for my business and charity miles and expenses
Don't need a file with passwords and account numbers.
Never need to look up song lyrics on the Internet, or wrack my brain trying to remember the name if that song, old or new, that I hear on the radio. |

Ooh. Great thread! Where do I start:
I never carry my bible to church
I don't take a book anywhere with me.
I never fall behind on watching TV series.
I never forget my shopping list.
I am never bored.
I don't carry a camera
I hardly print anything
I don't forget appointments as I always get one hour and fifteen minutes to go reminders.
I don't use an alarm clock
I never use a paper calendar
I am sure there are lots of others. I need to start a new list! |

It is called Card Star
We use Key Ring (android). I have is synced across all of our smart phones, so if my daughter runs into the grocery store to grab some milk, my store card is available on her phone. Likewise, my MIL is a Hallmark Gold member, and we rarely shop there so I scanned her card in as well, in the event we do shop there, she gets the credit.
My folks are out of our state, so when we visit, I have my mom's grocery store on my phone as well (they don't have a Krogers like we do, they use Giant Eagle). If we're passing through town on a visit and she needs something, I just use her card.
LOVE IT!!

Is there an app for that too???? LOL! | |

...have to wake up to the piercing, toe-curling screech of the traditional alarm clock. I used to shudder.
Now, there is a gentle tone that starts barely audible, and then sweetly and softly raises in volume until I turn it off. Heavenly. |

Jockscrap, what's a great app for watching TV shows?
I'm in the UK, so I'm not sure if you can access the same as me, but I use TV Catchup for real time TV viewing ( the name is completely confusing as it isn't catch up telly at all, just live streaming), and BBC iPlayer, which allows me to watch but also download for limited time offline viewing, all BBC programmes. I use that all the time as I can download a few episodes of a series I have missed and watch them on the bus. Most of our main TV channels have apps that allow you to stream recent and classic programmes. |

forget to bring a book while waiting somewhere.
hunt for the newspaper for the Michael's coupon.
wonder if the admission price to a museum or event on a spontaneous trip is worth the money.
wonder who that guy is in that movie (I have IMDB on my phone). or at the last minute deciding to get a movie and wonder what the reviews are.
have to drive around the neighborhood after I take a walk to find out how far I walked/ran.
wonder if this product is a good price or if it's cheaper on Amazon.
get lost while driving to a new location.
oh, there is so much more but I can't think of right now. |

It really hasn't made a difference for me. I have and android Samsung Captivate. The screen is bigger than that on an iphone but smaller than the Galaxy III. I do use it to check email when I am out. But I still mostly use my laptop. It's so hard for me to type on the phone but I am fast on the computer.
I still wear a watch. It's easier to glance at my arm than take my phone out.
The think I like best about my phone is shazam! If a song is playing and I want to remember it to buy, I can get the name and the singer, I love that.
