I'm brand new to digital scrapbooking. I'm just a mom to 3 furry kids whom I love & adore.
I've been doing scrapbooks since 2009 & I make them for new Habitat for Humanity homes. I've loved this site and have used it over the years when I did the scrapbooks all by hand but now with the PSE10 that I just ordered for my mac, I am hoping that I will find even more great help on this wonderful site.
Looking forward to meeting you all & receiving wonderful tips on how to do digital scrapbooking with PSE.....
Right now, I am lost in space! Lol

Welcome. Making Habitat scrapbooks sounds like a wonderful project!
You will love digital scrapbooking! I still do some paper scrapbooking and enjoy it. But I like to use digital when I will be making multiple copies of pages or want to post pages on-line. I would think some of the Habitat pages you make could be used for positive publicity if they were digital. Have fun with it! |

Thanks so much for your reply! Yes, I am hoping that if my digital pages come out as nice as some of the ones I've seen on here, that they would be great to post. I've just discovered that Staples can print your work on photo paper but then again if it is 12x12 like mine is, you'd have to cut off the excess to put into your album. I'd love to find out what other people would print 12x12. Unfortunately though I live in the middle of nowhere so we don't have any Cosco's or such places but maybe some place on line?

Hi! That sounds like such a fun project, and very rewarding. I look forward to your lo's.
I do sometimes print for 12x12 books, but I have a wide-format printer so I print at home. I use Staples 13x19 double sided matte, and, as you pointed out, you do have to trim it down. (Being weirdly frugal, I save the trimmed bits for smaller projects! ) Usually now I print for 8x8 books, which are a little easier to work with.

Welcome! Over the past year or so I have been using Persnickety Prints for all my print needs. They do a great job, relatively cheap, and very quick. If I put in a order that morning, they are shipping them out that day or at the latest the next day. I have been very happy with the results. Hope this helps. Any other questions, just ask! Happy scrapping.

Welcome to Two Peas Digital - I am so glad you felt at home enough to post. You will find a very warm and welcoming group of scrappers here - and always sooo willing to help a "newbie" to our craft.
Your Habitat pages sound really cool! I hope you share the pages that you make with all of us here as you start to do them digitally.
Like Twarnockphoto I use Persnicketyprints.com to print my 12x12 layouts. I have a large format printer that I used to use, but becauae I am not super organized I was always running out of one color ink or another and none of the stores in my area carried all the colors. I would get frustrated having to order ink when I wanted pages printed. Anyway, at the roughly $2 price point I have been super happy with the quality of their prints.
Once again, welcome to digital and to Two Peas Digital |

Hello and welcome!
Your Habitat project sounds awesome! I also use Persnickety Prints for printing my 12 x 12s. They also have twice yearly sales where you can pre-buy prints at the sale price if you're not ready to print yet. |

Hi there! Welcome to the digital side of the pod. Digital is great, and while it may take you some time to learn the software, I hope you enjoy it. Be sure to check out awesome (and free) digital tutorials by Erica Hernandez and Sande Krieger...those should really help you get off the ground.
I love this board and all the nice folks here, so I hope you'll come back and chat with us often... |
