I still use the old school fiskars, but now that I am scrapbooking again I am remembering how much I hate that it doesn't cut straight. | |

I had an office guillotine style for a long time but it started making ragged edges near the bottom. Now I have the Fiskars procision. |

I have an old purple Fiskars that also doesn't cut straight. It is also a pain to unlock each time I want to use it. I am in the market for a new one and am thinking of the Procision. |

I use that one (with the little snap out blade) for when I cut the middle of paper that's going to be covered. |

I have an old school creative memories one with the slider blade. It works for me...but I only have three new blades left (they don't make it anymore) so will sadly be in the market for something to replace it with eventually. | |

I got a new fiskars with guide wire for Christmas, and I love it so far. Before that I had a much older fiskars trimmer (from 2005 if not earlier) which didn't have the wire and didn't cut straight. |

Trying to keep it low in cost. It sounds like a different version of fiskars might be the way to go.
Mamagidget~ Bummer they aren't making it anymore you would think they would still sale the blade replacements for those who have it.
Leisa~ That is one I think you, tjbridges are talking about. It gets the job done and I am sure most people won't notice it but it does bug me. | |

I use an orange and clear Fiskars paper trimmer with a guide wire... In the beginning, it did cut in straight lines until recently. | |

I was using the old school Fiskars one that didn't cut straight, then I emailed them to find out if they had any suggestions for how to fix it. They told me there was no way to fix it, that things sometimes just shift from wear, and that my poor cutter was obsolete. Then, and I could not believe this, they offered to send me a new one. so now I have a new slider one from Fiskars, but this one has pretty blue flowers on it, and I love it. Btw, my new cutter actually cuts straight. Lol |

Like mamagidget, I used my old CM one until I couldn't get blades anymore. After that, I tried a fiskars and a recollections pink and white one. Got irritated neither cut straight so I invested in the new CM one with the interchangeable blades. I love it!!
I should have known better to buy the other ones. I'm still using my original cm corner rounder. All of my cm tools have held up great over then years with no issues. |

I always go back to the Fiskars trimmer with the wire. I've got many trimmers, including my favorite MM one, but I still grab for the Fiskars.
I have a vintage 30" Ingento guillotine trimmer, that my dh surprised me with last year. It's litterally as big as a table top & I've use it to both scrapbook on and cut paper. Although, the blade is so ginormous, it's sort of scary to use. |

I use both the new interchangeable blade rotary Creative Memories trimmer (which I like SO much better than the old one - the blade doesn't constantly fall off!), and a Tonic 12" guillotine. The latter is very handy but takes up a lot more desk space, so I go back and forth depending on how much I'm cutting. | |

Ha ha! My old gray fiskars is my go to trimmer when I'm too lazy to get the bigger trimmer out. Yeah it cuts off kilter, but it really doesn't bother me. I still buy refill blades for it. I would love to get the procision trimmer, but I'd probably still use my old gray trimmer. |

I have both the large Tonic guillotine and smaller 6" Tonic guillotine cutters. Love them both because I like to keep the smaller one handy on my desk for cutting scraps and what not. |

I use the Fiskars with the wire and am pretty happy with it. I also have a Fiskars rotary blade trimmer that I don't use as often. Although... reading about the CM trimmers makes me want to buy one of them too. | |

I use the wide-deck Fiskars with guide wire, and I LOVE it. I'm a measurer, so all the ruler lines and the fact that the deck is wider than 6" is right up my alley. |

Fiskars with the guide wire. Love that it's light and easy to grab. Love that I can start/stop a cut in the middle of paper (so I can cut out a frame for example).
Mine cuts straight. BUT the line up isn't straight with the edges (not 90 degrees) so I have to be careful.
Interested in the Procision, but with the rotary you can't just cut in the middle of a piece of paper, you have to go from the edge. |

I have been using a Cutterpede rotary trimmer forever. It's not great. They get out of whack easily and then need to be replaced.
I've been pondering the Fiskars ProCision for a while now. (It's available less expensive on line). I just have a hard time spending that much money if I am not CERTAIN it's gonna cut straight...and for a long time. |

I had the old 12" straight trimmer (the navy blue one) from Creative Memories from way back in the day until recently. I ran out of replacement blades and bought the Fiskars with the guide wire about a year ago. | |

I have the EK Success Cutterpede also and have the same problem I think as bluna so wouldn't recommend it. Good to get these other recommendations. | |
