Since we moved last June, I haven't had much of a chance to scrap. However, I'm ready to get back to it, but I really miss my scrappy buddies in VA, and I find that I am actually more "inspired" when I work with a group LOL. There aren't many scrapbook options in Morgantown, WV other than M's, and they have $5 crop at the beginning of each month. I missed the February one b/c of bad weather, but I think I will probably sign up for the first weekend of March.
I'm not planning on taking much the first time--just the supplies I need for a few layouts. I'm not really too concerned about getting anything done. I'm really just hoping to meet some new scrappy friends.
I've never been to crop at one of their stores. Has anyone been to one and can share what to expect?

I attended one, but I didn't like it much. It was in the middle of the store, and the store was open. Shoppers would come by the table, watch what I was doing, and then ask me to show them how to do it. I showed the first two people, but then I told the others that it was a crop, and we were just working on our own projects. Then there were all the questions about what scrapbooking is, where they could find the products I was using, etc. I pointed out the woman who was running the crop, who was also busy trying to sell Cricuts. I hope there are others who've had a better experience than I did.

Yikes! That sounds unpleasant LOL! I know our M's has a classroom, but it won't hold all that many people. The one in our last town had a HUGE classroom in the back, and they did the crops back there--you could see people working through the little window LOL!
Maybe I'll go to one and find a scrappy friend or two to invite to my house when my basement scraproom is completely finished.

I went to one with a few friends and we were disappointed...althoug the room was spacious, the lighting was awful, the hostess not very friendly and there were only two other people there.
But it seems the experiences would vary by area, and for only 5 bucks it's worth a shot...worst case scenario you get a few layouts done...
