I'm thinking of upgrading from pse 6 for Mac. I have the latest MacBook from apple. Will there be a huge learning curve with the newer version? Any thoughts or advice welcomed. Thanks

I upgraded from PSE5 to PSE9 and then to PSE11. I don't think there's a huge difference, but there are a lot of advantages to the upgrade. I really prefer PSE11. They made it super easy to install actions and styles, and the screen color is much easier on the eyes. With PSE10 they added text paths, so get that too with PSE11. A lot of people dislike the way the tools are now on the bottom with the photo bin, but I found it no problem to adjust. I highly recommend PSE11! |

From PSE 6 on a mac you'll love the new version!
The screen colours are lighter and as Lizj said the options are at the bottom but that will take time to get used to
Also, you get the Organizer on the Mac version now! I loove the Organizer for my photos and dig supplies |

Oh and all the tools work the same way, so not a big learning curve. Just be sure to download the trial and go into expert mode in the editor |

Liz, I have had the upgrade to 11 in my virtual basket for months - the tools issue has held me back. Any way you would be kind enough to post a screen shot showing where they are for you now? |

Sure, here it is. The tools are now at the bottom of the screen, so you have to toggle back and forth between the photo bin and the tools. I got used to it right away, and it doesn't bother me, although it's not as convenient as the tools were in earlier versions.

PSE 11 is amazing. I love it. Now you can use actions like Photoshop users do and much more control over shadows. Totally worth the upgrade!!!

Hi, I am probably the one person that should not reply to this thread, but I upgraded from 6 to 10 and actually still prefer 6. I figured out how to install my actions into it. Radlab also works fine with it. I feel like I should have gotten Lightroom instead of upgrading since for me at least, it did what I needed it to do. Of course, I found this out after I bought it. I think I am just so used to using it. KWIM? |

I have had 11 for ONE DAY and already am in love with it ... the action/style thing totally worth it in and of itself. WOW! |
