I made a layout using it! Yeah, someone unloaded it on me as a newbie years ago, and while combing through my stash recently for a garage sale, I saw it. And thought, I am sick of looking at this stuff. I ought to use it (becuase that's part of my mantra this year-use it!!) So, I cut some banner shapes, and put it on the page. And it didn't kill me. And now I only have 3 1/2 more rolls to go until it's gone.
Here's my page, hope the magic mesh doesn't burn too many retinas! Fiero Love
(and this is kind of cross posted with the stash busters challenge too. Because if using magic mesh on a challenge isn't stash busting, I don't know what is!)
What super old stuff are you holding on to in your collection in hopes of using?

I have some Lil Davis metal tab thingys that I have been hoarding. They would be great for doing mini books. |

I like it! I remember when that mesh was all the rage. I never did buy any, but all my sb friends were using it like crazy.
It's fun that you pulled out something from your stash and used it. |

I've still got some, but it's one of those things that I have in a drawer and don't remember to use. I'll have to put them out where I can see them. Your l/o looks great with the mesh. Maria

Your Magic Mesh banners look really cute! Now I'm thinking, Why didn't I think of that? I got rid of all my Magic Mesh about a year ago when I found it at the bottom of a drawer. TFS, nice LO! |

I didn't get into this trend but good on you for using it. I find if there is something that I want to make myself use to keep it within my view then it is more likely to get onto a layout

I still love MM haven't used it in a long time. I only purchased about 4 colors because someone told me that it is the same stuff that you can get at Homedepot or othe home improvement stores in the dry wall isle.
With the dry wall stuff it is white and you can use your ink pads on it and match anything. Just sayin.

I use it every now and then on sports pages. I have colored regular dry wall tape but I prefer the already colored mesh so it is 'solid' colored. I had a huge roll of silver and only have a little bit left! |

I still have some mesh from years ago. I'm with Bethie, I have no problem using the "old stuff" either. I'm not a trend follower so if I like it I use it, no matter how out of fashion it might currently be. I like that saying - everything old is new again. |

Thanks for sharing about the drywall tape! Ive been thinking some stars made from this would be neat, but in more of a golden yellow color.
I really like the texture too, and it adds very little bulk to a page/project.

Are you kidding me you still have eyelets. I love those things and still have plenty of them. However when I use them I start getting all nervous about not having enough.
I have lots and lots of the flower eyelets and little to know use for them. Would anyone like to trade flower eyelets for regular round ones?
