Anyone have a recommendation? I'm looking for just a scanner- not printer/scanner combo.
Thanks.

Whatever you do, don't buy HP.

I have an Epson V330 that was about $100, and is easy to use, fast, durable, quiet and great quality. It has an attachment for those old film negatives too! I love my scanner.

I also have an Epson V-series... mine is pretty old, it's a V500, but still works awesome! I have been a loyal Epson fan for years, never let me down yet!

Another Epson girl here! I have the Perfection V600 Photo...it was highly recommended on Amazon. I haven't used it too much yet, but it seems to work great and it also allows you to scan film/slides.

I couldn't agree more about NOT getting an HP! The scanner on my HP all in one printer/scanner is aways freezing! It actually works better since I got my MacBook Pro then it ever did with my PC, and I can't say that the quality is bad, but the freezing issues are so bad that I'd never get another. I just bought an Epson wide format all in one printer last week but I haven't used it yet so I can't say how much better it is - if it is at all...
