Do you always feel pressured to have a title on your pages? Do you feel like every page needs to have a title and if it doesn't its not complete?
I used to feel like I need a title for every page In my album.. But now I'm realizing I don't. if I have good journaling already & embellishments that help tell the store then sometimes I just don't add the title.. I sometimes feel like I only do things in my LOs because that's whats trendy right now.. Or what everyone else is doing! I just started to really get back into scrapping in August and I'm slowly learning my own style and way of doing things and I like how it's turning out anyone else with me on titles?

Yes! I agree. I also like when sometimes people use a quote or something as their title AND their journaling, sometimes there is no need to say more (although I have to admit I am not good at that, but I do like it)

I feel like all my pages need titles. The 2nd page of my two page layouts always feels more empty to me than the first.

I have a tough time with titles, too. For me, it feels forced to come up with something, especially if there are multiples lo's on a particular event (birthdays, Christmas, etc)
So a lot of the time I skip them.

I don't feel pressure about anything in scrapbooking really. I don't think there are rules to scrapping.
But I do have a title on every single LO. I love titles, I love letter stickers, I love using quotes, funny words, cutouts. I like letters!! Other than the photo a title is my favorite thing. But if it's not yours feel free to not have one. =)

I hate journaling for two reasons.. One my handwrighting is HORRIBLE ( & to think I'm a pretty go artist lol) & two I can never come up with something clever to write.. If I do journal it's usualy just a few lines about whats going on in the photo.. Place, date, time, people ... Funny moment I wanna remember! But because I feel like sometimes I need that journaling because I wanna remember something but I don't wanna "ruin" my page with my ugly handwrighting ill tuck it away somewhere on my page or print on a card or spot from the computer..
I LOVE LOVE LOVE thickers, alphas & all kinds of letters... But I always get stumped on a "good" title.. A lot of my pages do have titles.. Or I use quotes a lot when I can't think of anything.. But sometimes what I find to happen is I will add my photos, add my papers, embellishments & so on then go to add a title and feel like there is no room for it or I can't think of anything I wanna say or I don't like any of the thickers they don't match & so on! I mostly do my title work last, unless I have a specific idea based off of a title & I always feel like I need that title to complete the page sometimes and get so annoyed because I can't think of sometihing great so then I have to scrap lift someone else work lol..

Do you always feel pressured to have a title on your pages?
No, especially if I have a lot of pictures on a page. It is just usually a cardstock background and handwritten journaling. I usually pick a title if the picture isn't obvious (not an event).

I always, always have a title. A page just doesn't feel "finished" to me without it. But, I also like having the title there, so I wouldn't really say I feel pressure to come up with one, just that I like to.

I am embellishment challenged so a title for me is an easy embellishment that counts right?! So, for me, I always have a title but don't feel pressured.

Yep, gotta have a title on my pages!!! And the date!
|Posted: 2/27/2013 11:53:06 PM|
I also need a title and a date. I also try to include some journaling. I'm NOT a trendy scrapper and I don't use a lot of embellishments so my layouts would look a little bare if I didn't have one.

I think in what may be approaching 5,000 layouts created, I can recall one time where I did not have some sort of title. But that could be just me.

I don't worry about what 'should' be in my pages. I do what I like or what I'm in the mood for. If I don't feel like putting title in a layout then I don't.
I don't think scrapping should have any kind of pressure. It's a relaxing thing for me to do. Adding the pressure of outside sources or expectations would make it stressful

No, I don't feel pressured, but I do always use a title. I like titles as they can add texture, dimension, embellishment (I don't use a lot of embellishments usually), balance, etc. I also have issues with journalling. I simply can't shut up, so I often have lots of journalling on a page. It's a disease.

I don't use titles most of the time. Not really a fan of them and I don't like having to come up with something that ends up sounding trite.

I love to add a title & especially a date, to all my pages. It doesn't feel balanced or finished w/out the title for some reason.
I've got a layout I did last month & I have it pinned up because I didn't add the title yet. The layout is stumping me overall, because I can't remember the date for the photos & I keep saying I will finish it soon. My 12 yr old dd, walked in the room a few days ago & said, "this would look better with a title"!
|Posted: 2/28/2013 6:12:03 AM|
Often my title is a word within my journaling that is bigger/bolder/more colorful.
I think having a title helps draws the viewer to my journaling.

If a title comes to mind while I'm working on a layout I'll use it. If not, that is fine too.
Journaling is done by computer nearly always. I write out the story that makes those photos worth scrapping. Sometimes the journaling is extensive. Sometimes not. My goal is to be able to hand the layout to someone who wasn't there, let them read it and not feel compelled to tell them more. If I feel compelled to explain more that is a sign I need to journal more.

I had one a week or so ago that was really bothering me, because it had no title and I didn't want to add one and change the look of the page. I have finally settled on the fact that this photo and layout will be included in a certain album later that will have entire pages of journaling, and won't have any journling or title on most all of the other layouts in the album.

I've never really thought about it but I think it's just something I automatically add before I consider my layout done.

I think I've always put a title on mine, but if I find a Lo without one I would freak out. I'm not a big journalese either. I list the names of the people on the LO and possibility the place they are at and the ages if possible. That's about it, f the information is on another page I might list anything at all.

No, I don't always title. In fact, quite often I don't even journal <gasp!!> Sometimes the pictures just tell the story for me.
The best thing about scrapbooking is that there is no right or wrong way to do it. Just your own way.

No, I don't feel that a title is always necessary. In fact, if I've completed an entire LO before realising I've not added a title, that's a sign to me that a title isn't needed for this particular LO.

I don't need a title, but I need some sort of text - the date, a word, something... For me it give context (?) or maybe helps point to the purpose of the page... I don't feel that way about mini albums or collages, but for scrapbook pages I can't seem to not have at least something little there...
