A friend of mine is giving an Alice in Wonderland themed baby shower and wanted to know if i could make themed labels of "Eat Me" and "Drink Me". (Love the idea!) I haven't had a lot of success with my print and cut on my Silhouette, but I am willing to try it again for this.
Two items I need help with...
1) There are crazy long calibration instructions to align the cutting and I have trouble with it seeing registration marks. Any suggestions to troubleshoot?
2) Do you know anywhere online where there are Alice in Wonderland themed svg's. I searched Silhouette with not a lot of luck. A few things.

I have had fantastic luck with print and cut - but it took a little time for me to grasp the concept. Once I figured it out - I have had no issues.
As far as the calibration - I am betting it is your printer that is giving you issues, not the Silhouette itself. At least that was my issue.
I was printing "borderless" and that was throwing things way off.
Also, make sure you have decent lighting and leave the lid open while reading the calibration marks.
I use the "offset" tool to create a boarder around what I want to cut that is just a little larger than the item. I then delete any other cut lines (it there are any)
If you are interested - I could make a little tutorial to show the way I "print and cut" .

I did this quick - just typed in the words (rosewood font) and turned off the cut lines on the font. Used the circle shape to apply the oval over the words.
Print, then cut. Could be done on colored cardstock.

I just got a printer a couple of months ago to use this feature with. Thank you for the advice.

My printer is a photo printer - and it was defaulting to "borderless". Once I figured that out - my print and cuts worked great.
Also - make sure you have the right sized page. If you are printing 12x12 or 8.5x11 - make sure you have your project set to that right size.
You can even do print and cut on a 4x6!

If you can get your print and cut working, try disneyclips.com. Not sure if they have the words you are looking for, but they do have images galore.

Thank you so much for the links and help troubleshooting print and cut. I have been so busy this weekend that I haven't had a chance to try out some of the solutions.
Iowa_girl - Looks great! Thanks! I need to start collecting fonts now!
