September is here, and with it, a super busy month. School started, all kinds of new schedules for everyone, and Memory Trends in Las Vegas! I look forward to seeing all the new products at the trade show. It seems like just last week that we were in Chicago at the ACCI show. We are still receiving products that were ordered at the ACCI show!

We have a lot new products just in, and a lot more on the way! It seems like something is coming in everyday. I think the UPS man delivered at least 30 boxes today. I can’t wait to get through it all and get it all up on the site.

We have a few collections on sale right now----the making memories mini albums are on sale, in honor of our garden theme this month: All About Me. We are also hoping that you will look at the new chatterbox 8x8 albums---these are perfect for the subject. I used one for my own All About Me album. Beautiful rich colors, and a wonderful suede texture. The Bazzill albums arrived today, but have yet to be unpacked. They should be available within a day or so. I also have ordered a bunch of new Pulp Paper albums and journals.

I plan on having a ribbon promotion this fall, so I have a ton of ribbons on order. Watch for all of these to arrive within a few weeks!

We have a new Retail Directory on our site. If you are looking for a store in your area, or in a city to which you are traveling, be sure to check out the directory for any listings! Watch for more features with this directory this fall----we have a lot planned for this feature. If you are a retail store owner, or know of one that would be interested in appearing on the directory, please have them contact webmaster@twopeasinabucket.com for information.

When did you start scrapbooking? how were you introduced to it?
I saw some scrapbooking supplies at a craft store and dabbled in it over the summer of 1998 but I didn't really start scrapbooking until the fall of 1999. Soon thereafter I was hooked.

What are your sources for inspiration?
I draw inspiration from all over: magazines, billboards, Internet ads, cards, etc.

How do you get started on projects (layouts, etc)?
I usually start by laying out my photos on a blank background and trying out different arrangements. If I get stuck, I'll rifle through some of my sketches.

What things do you like to communicate through your work?
I hope that my scrapbooking provides a little slice of my life and conveys my love for my family and friends. With my travel layouts I try to capture the atmosphere of the places I've visited.

What have been your biggest achievements or greatest layouts or moments with this hobby?
Being a Garden Girl has been an incredibly rewarding experience and feel quite blessed to be a part of such a great group. I was honored to be a part of Creating Keepsakes' 2001 Scrapbook Hall of Fame. I've also been lucky to have had some great publishing experiences with Creating Keepsakes magazine, including being featured in Scrapbooking with Style.

What kind of goals do you have with your scrapbooking?
My primary goal with scrapbooking is to have a creative outlet. It is a great stress reliever for me.

Where do you scrap? do you attend crops or conventions?
I usually scrapbook in my little scrapbook room or bring some supplies out in the living room and spread out on the floor. I mostly scrapbook alone, but I do go to some crops when I can. The only convention I've been to before is the Bay Area Scrapbook Expo, but I do plan to go to Arizona this month.

Where does scrapbooking fit into your life? Do you scrap in the morning, evening, late night? when do you do your greatest work?
I scrapbook after work or on the weekends. I do my best work when I have the apartment all to myself with no distractions for a few hours.

What does your family think of your scrapbooking?
My family thinks my scrapbooking is a great hobby. I am lucky that they are so supportive.

Do you have a favorite product line, paper, sticker, or cardstock color?
I love all sorts of products so I can't pick a favorite. Lately I've been using a lot of Scrapbook Wizard and KI Memories patterned paper and Sonnets and Chatterbox letter stickers.

What do you want the peas to know about you?
I live in a cozy little apartment in Oakland, CA with my husband, Derek. We just got married in July and have been having fun settling into married life. I have a great job working as an electrical engineer and enjoy everything about it except my commute. I love traveling, reading, watching classic movies, baking, cooking, and listening to NPR.
