September Store Newsletter

I love this hobby, scrapbooking, and I love being a part of this hobby industry. I have such a passion for it, at times it can be hard to find, while at others, it is a roaring fire within me. Right now, it’s a roaring fire. I think its because I feel like I finally have a good grasp of things. A good hold on what is going on around me, the state of the industry and what I am doing within it. After turbulent times within our own company, I have felt a little bit like a wanderer, a bit lost, trying to find my way and the future of our company. And my passion seemed to have died down to a slow simmer. My love for the hobby, the products and the site never died down, but my passion for what I was doing within this hobby industry needed a good kick in the rear. While things are not perfect in the world known as Two Peas, it is not anywhere near the place I want it to be, I feel a sense of certainness about where I am going, what I want to do and what I want it to look like in the end. I feel like I have found my purpose and my place, and for once I feel rather confident of my abilities and what I want to do. This revelation was stunning to me, it hit me like a ton of bricks amid a turbulent time for Two Peas. Right now, this very instant, I feel a love for scrapbooking like I have not felt in a very long time. I have so much passion about it, about what I am doing and what I want to do with Two Peas future. And it has given me a new hope, a new drive and new life.

In the last few weeks since the super sale, I have been unable to even look at scrapbook supplies. I was there among all of these awesome scrapbookers, and the super talented Garden Girls, and all I c ould think about was scrapbooking. I was seeing layouts and colors and compositions everywhere I turned. But for the life of me, I could not find a day where I could sit and touch my products, read a magazine, or even think about my scrapbooking. I am in a state of desperation right now. I want to lock myself into my office and scrap my heart out for hours on end. I want to connect not only to my hobby, my creativeness, but also to my family and our memories. I feel that sense of urgency to put down onto paper the things we have done, the memories we have made. The recent events in our country certainly add to this sense of preservation of family.

The Super Sale and Garden Girl crop was a very exciting event. While there were things we would change and do differently, armed with some small experience, it was a great day for learning and growing. We discovered a lot that day. A lot about how to run a huge sale, budgets, advertising, pricing, check out lines and so much more. We learned a lot about crops, the importance of food, tee-shirts, and socialization. There is always a first for everything. We have learned.

In the aftermath of the super sale, we had products left, a lot of things to put on the site for a sale continuation. We have been a bit shell shocked at how long it actually took us to recover from the sale, the unloading of products, the inventorying of products, organization of said products and the process of getting these items on our site or back to their manufacturers. It has only taken us 3 weeks to get a good firm grasp of things. I think we are finally at the bottom of the very large pile of boxes.

We are offering some super deals on products brought in from the sale. You really must take a look at these offerings. Some great KI Memories collections, Daisy D’s papers, Carolee’s Creations papers and embellishments, Lil Davis items, C-Thru Ruler open windows packages, Boxer embellishments, Sassafrass Lass papers & Stickers, a huge selection of stickers from Bo Bunny, and more.

While this supersale clean up has been going on, we have been receiving the new preorder products from some of the manufacturers. As in the past, things are not always smooth in this world when it comes to getting all of this stuff in when we should. We have been doing our best to not only get the products in and get them back out to the customers, but also to try to stay on top of communication about these orders. It has been a crazy last few weeks.
