LAYOUT: 2 8 1/2" x 11" spread

1. Print journaling on one sheet of cardstock using microsoft word.

2. Adhere ghost letters below journaling.

3. Add rhinestone circle to layout overlapping journaling and ghost letters.

4. Attach metal frame with brads.

5. Cut strip of patterned paper and adhere to right side of layout.

6. Trim patterned paper around metal frame.

7. Add second part of title under patterned paper.

8. Create journaling strips using microsoft word.

9. Adhere to layout overlapping metal frame.

10. Add smaller rhinestone circle to lower portion of title.

11. Add small snowflake stickers.

12. Finish by adding photo below the second half of the frame.

Trend Watch: Die-Cut Papers

A trend that I'm really enjoying is big, die-cut shaped papers. It is fun to see scrappers use them as something different than the usual square backgrounds for their layouts. Other scrappers who are bothered by problems of how to store such fancifully shaped layouts (that would be me) enjoy the papers layered over the backgrounds, or used in other creative ways. There are some great examples of these papers by MOD (maybe the first example of this trend), Rhonna Farrer, Bazzill, Creative Imaginations and others.
