One Thing Leads to Another

One thing leads to another: like one potato chip leads to another ("you can never eat just one"); Halloween leads to Thanksgiving and Christmas; and one layout leads to another, like in our scraplifting version of "Operator" the Round Robin. Once you see all the free projects and inspiration in the Designer Garden and all the new holiday-themed products in store, you won't be able to stop yourself. Doodlebug weaves a spell for Halloween, Christmas and beyond. Queen & Co rolls out the red carpet in felt. And BasicGrey warms the season with Figgy Pudding. Garden Girl Wendy Bretz starts off this month's Round Robin taking her inspiration from fellow Garden Girl Laura Kurz. Follow the inspiration to see where it will lead--and where it will lead you.

Garden Girl Lisa McGarvey Rocks Rub Ons and Chipboard Shapes
Garden Girl Lisa McGarvey shares some great ideas for using rub ons and the great assortment of chipboards out there.

Layout of the Day: BasicGrey Rub Ons

I've been a fan of BasicGrey rubons for a while, and their newest releases are amazing. I love how versatile their designs are. They always come out with a few different styles and I seriously love them all. For this page I stuck to the Paint Rub On designs, but honestly I can't wait to try the other styles too.

Tips and Tricks: Chipboard Shapes

Chipboard adds so much fun to the average layout or project. You can embellish it in so many ways: paint it, stamp it, use rubons on it or wallpaper it with patterned paper or cardstock. It comes in so many different shapes and sizes and adds instant dimension to a layout or project. Though chipboard letters/alphas seem to be more common on layouts, chipboard shapes are surprisingly versatile and easy to use. Once you get started on them, it's hard to back away.
