 Another old one from '06, that was in We Dare You. The prompt for this page was "Why I Scrapbook". TFL! xo, Jess
Journaling: "I found this picture of my Grandma Lillie holding a camera and my heart stopped. Did I get my love of photography from her? Did she document her life like me? I looked through the suitcases of black and white pictures she left behind and realized that we may never know the stories attached to them...
It's been years since she got Alzheimer's and one year since she passed away and I am still filled with anger that her stories are gone. I was too young to understand their importance and how amazing they could be. And then they were stolen from her and then her stolen from us.
I want to hear about her fears as a young woman, her struggles in marriage, her feelings about becoming a mother, her dreams, her life lessons.
But it's too late.
So I record my own stories. For myself. For my family. For someone who may want to hear them when I can no longer tell them myself. Because nobody can tell my stories but me."
