My grandson and I take this walk every week that over the years (it's been two now) becomes more and more important to the both of us. Journaling on the transparency reads: "Caleb– When you were just one year old and had begun to walk, we started walking 6 blocks up G Street to visit Papa at the office for something to do. Your stamina at such a young age was really impressive! You hardly ever wanted to be held, and ran almost the whole way. You soon started adding ‘pit stops’ to the walk, which soon became actions that just HAD to be performed. I’ve never walked you up the other side of the street, or gone in the opposite direction, as these series of events seem very important to you. Once you started going to daycare during the week and I only kept you on weekends, we turned the focus of the walk into going up to the bakery right around the corner from the office to get a cookie or a doughnut on Saturday or Sunday mornings.
On this day, Sunday, May 23, 2004; Papa stayed home from golfing and photojournaled our walk with us. We’ve now been doing the walk for two years, and I feel certain it has created memories for both you and I that will last a lifetime." I scanned the fabric from the book, toned it way down in photo editing, and printed it on the transparency as well. I had to scan the pages loose~~they look better compiled within the book. tfl! jen |
