Title: MACRO MONDAY... 6.16.08
Posted by: Penny Rae

Format: Other
Gallery: Photos

First off let me say that I seem to be having some issues with photos not being light enough when I post to sites so bare with me...please. The butterflies were taken in my yard so I am thrilled to have gotten them. The 2nd one looks like he's (or she) is really to take off... I loved the antenna on this shot. I also noticed after loading these to my computer... look how "furry" their backs look. Kinda cool. The 3rd and 4th are probably the last of my poppies. These are sooc and the orange/red on my screen is so vivid it doesn't seem real. The last one is the end of the peonies.

Penny, these are STUNNING!!! I am blown away by your yellow swallowtail--the detail you caught is gorgeous!! Love the hairy back, the antennae, the depth of color and design in the wings...WOW! If you are doing 26 Things, use #2 for Flat!! Those poppies are incredible; what an intense vivid color; and then contrasted against that soft billowy peony. Love these. I wish my garden would get started!

WOW!! Gorgeous shots, Penny.
I love the colours in the butterfly and how the antennea is sticking up in the second one.
Beautiful rich colours and texture with your poppies and I love the delicate softness of the peony.
I have tried to grow peonies and failed.
