The Silhouette CAMEO® is an electronic cutting tool for personal use. Like a home printer, it plugs into your PC or Mac® with a simple USB cable. However, instead of printing it uses a small blade to cut paper, cardstock, vinyl, fabric and more up to 12" wide and 10 feet long. The machine also has the ability to register and cut printed materials.

If you have been thinking about buying the Silhouette...stop...think no more...just do it. I love the ease of using the machine...and this comes from a "non-geek" computer user. Having all my "dies" stored in the computer makes it so easy to set up a cut and then cut and create when I have the time. The on-line store has endless products and their support service rocks. You won;t be disappointed.

Love how this machine is able to do very intricate design cuts. This is the best die cutting machine for a scrapbooker, card maker, or Anyone .... I am happy I upgraded.

This is hands down the best digital die cutting machine on the market! I use it every time I scrapbook. The original and SD Silhouette machines were great but now with the 12" cutting mat it is PERFECT. Easy to use and cuts the most intricate designs beautifully. :)

this cuts beautifully! One thing to be aware of if you're upgrading from the original or SD versions: there's no plugin to make it compatible with Adobe Illustrator or CorelDraw. Per Silhouette Technical support: The Silhouette Cameo is not compatible with any older Illustrator or CorelDraw plug-ins that may have been available for older Silhouette models. There are not any plans to have a new plug-in developed to enable cutting directly from other software programs. As a work-around you can upgrade to Designer Edition which supports importing SVG files.
