A Little Disappointing

I really like Amy's style but I found these videos a little disappointing. There are 3 somewhat short videos, one of which is all about saving your photos and simple edits on computer (Mac related and I don't use a Mac, nor do I really need to know how to organize my photos). The beginning and end of the video where she is talking directly to the camera is a little fuzzy and the sound is very low..... When she is doing her layouts, she starts with paper etc. already picked out....she doesn't explain how or why she is doing what she's doing. It's pretty much just a video of her doing a page with very little explanation other than, "now, I'm going to use this Lawn Fawn stamp over here"..... I'm sorry, as I said, I like Amy's layouts, I really like her style but I was hoping for more. The price is not expensive but if I had known what the class was really like, I wouldn't have paid for it.....

Let me first preface this review in saying that I love Amy Tan's work and her products, and the fact that I love what Amy does made this workshop all that much more disappointing. While looking at lists of displayed layouts and their supplies is lovely, I can get that from looking through the gallery for free. Furthermore, there simply wasn't enough actual content/discussion/explanation from Amy herself to support the visuals and supply lists. I know this was intended to be a mini workshop so not as much content, but to be fair, scrappers get a tonne more content and explanation watching any of the free videos posted weekly. Since buying this class in April, I still have no desire to even finish the third and final chapter (to what end?). A very disappointing first class experience with 2Peas.

Not really impressed at all.

I love Amy's videos for the Project Life series but these are lacking tremendously. They're very short. First one she makes a layout but has no real information as to WHY she's doing what she's doing. Just, here's where I'm putting this, and where I'm putting this, and here's my finished layout. Second one is all about her editing her photos using iPhoto, I was not happy with that one at all. They are not informative. I thought the PDFS are ok, but just ok. No new information, pretty photos of layouts with a list of basic supplies she used on them but not a lot of detail at all about process or why she did things where she did them. I just found this lacking in actually teaching anythign. Disappointed. At least I got it on sale at 20% off and the cut files will be handy. But even the sale price of $9.60 is too much for some cut files.

I love Amy Tan, but this workshop isn't exactly what I was expecting... I've never taken an online class before, so maybe my expectations are too high? Anyway, I thought that there was going to be more pictures/videos showing her process, rather than the "mix formulas," which honestly don't inspire me all too much. It was cool to see some new projects, and I do still love Amy, but this class just wasn't for me.

If you love Amy Tan's work and video's on Two Peas you'll love this class! I thought she did an amazing job and it only cost $12. I will admit this was my first class so I had no expectation of any sort. There are three chapters each one includes a video and a pdf. It's all about Mixing it up!

I love almost everything Amy does, but I didn't find this class to be as inspiring as Amy's previous classes. Maybe I was just expecting too much, I wish the videos had included more technique & why she choose to use this product.

Short and Sweet

I'm a newbie with scrapbooking and I personally love the length of the videos. I have a short attention span and I'm just not the type of person to sit there and watch someone tell me how to do every single detail of every single layout they are working on. All I want is an idea of how they do things. This mini workshop is perfect for someone like me.
