3M and Piggy Tales Joint Manufacturer Design Team Call

3M and Piggy Tales are looking for several talented designers to create an exclusive International design team. Please see the attached Press Release. The design team offers some of the highest industry compensation schedules for projects published in approved publications.

Deadline for submission of entries is midnight PST, December 15, 2008.
Selected Design Team Members will be contacted by December 31, 2008.

Submit:

1. THREE scrapbook layouts that show off your style 
2. ONE altered item of your choice 
3. LIST of current design team memberships and links to any online galleries 
4. LIST of previously published designs
5. DESCRIPTION of scrapbooking and paper craft teaching experience

Your work must include 3M adhesives and Piggy Tales paper/products, a detailed description of 3M products used, and any specific techniques used with product.

You can visit www.piggytales.com to locate a store or website that carries Piggy Tales products. Submitted work may include previously published projects.

Design Team members will be expected to:

• Create 3 different monthly projects: such as 1 layout, 1 card and 1 altered item. Projects must be submitted to 3M and Piggy Tales by the last day of each month along with step-by-step instructions to re-create the project, a supply list and any techniques used. 3M and Piggy Tales reserve the right to use all projects at their discretion for advertising, classes, trade show samples, etc.
• Submit each monthly project to magazines for publication. Design Team Members will receive compensation from 3M and Piggy Tales only if project is published in approved magazines. Projects must consist of at least 75% Piggy Tales products & exclusively 3M products for adhesive.
• Post projects on 3M and Piggy Tales message board frequently. Leave comments and praise.
• Post projects on and participate in online forums, galleries and blogs promoting 3M and Piggy Tales.
• Create projects for display at tradeshows in the 3M and Piggy Tales booths.
• Design for make and takes or classes.
• Create layouts and/or altered items for use in publications, advertising, and trade shows.
• Attend at least one trade show a year and teach make-and-takes at the 3M or Piggy Tales trade show booth.

Design Team Commitment will be one year, from Jan 1, 2009 - Dec 31, 2009. Design Team members are encouraged to not be members of other design teams; however, everyone is encouraged to apply and potential time commitment conflicts will be assessed on a case by case basis. Selected Design Team members must receive permission from 3M and Piggy Tales to participate on any other team created after January 1, 2009.

Some benefits include:

Design Team members will receive free product, new product releases, recognition on 3M and Piggy Tales websites, and compensation for published work in magazines using 3M and Piggy Tales products. DT members will also be featured on website including a picture and bio, and will receive free admission to CHA Trade shows and various consumer shows across the country.

Your designs may be included in the following: 3M and Piggy Tales' website, blog, ads, tradeshow displays, product packaging, classes, and promotions.

3M and Piggy Tales reserve the right to use any submissions.
