My Two Peas Story
I came to find Two Peas in early 2002. I lurked at first, but then I joined, and I still mainly just lurk to this day. I started scrapping during my summer break between my freshman year and sophomore year in college, 1997. I remember going to the craft store near my house and I was mesmorized by the punches and decorative edged scissors. I was able to find some cardstock and some patterned paper, and I also started looking at magazines dedicated to the hobby. I did some scrapping on and off until the fall of 2000, after I graduated college and moved to Florida to get my Master's. I focused mainly on school during my early scrapping years. But once I moved, I found two stores in my area dedicated specifically to scrapbooking...I was hooked from then on. But these stores didn't always have what I was seeing in the magazine. I can totally relate to Pea1 with this!! When I look through the magazines, I always read the supply lists when I find something I really love...and one reference a long time ago was to twopeasinabucket.com. I started lurking almost immediately!! I fell in love with the site! I could always find the latest and greatest. Plus, if I had a question I could ask other scrappers on the message boards. I could also be inspired when I had scrappers-block through the designer garden and gallery. If I couldn't think of a title, I could use the Pea Soup!! I was hooked and addicted! My style has changed over the years, mainly due to this place. Viewing the creativity of everyone here has helped me evolve as a scrapper. And when I see something in a magazine I just can't do without, I know I can find it here, and I'll have it waiting at my doorstep by the end of the week! But not only does this place give me inspiration for my scrapping, it also inspired my organization. I love seeing how other peas store their supplies. This place is such a fantastic place. I love to pea (even if I mainly just lurk)!! Thanks Pea1 and GeekPea!!
