I've received a few requests for masculine birthday cards, so this week I decided to do something like that. This is more of a gender neutral card than a masculine card, but that's what I love about it. It works for just about anybody. :)

For this week's card, I wanted to challenge myself to use 5 items already on my craft desk. The five items I used were: a sentiment and label I created months ago and never used, pale pink ribbon, a strip of My Mind's Eye Lush green patterned paper, Ranger Liquid Pearls in Silver Pearl, and Sassafras' Stitchery stamp set.

So, join me in the challenge!

CHALLENGE: Create a card using 5 items on your desk or in your craft area. If you a "clean up your mess" crafter, try using 5 items left on your desk before cleaning up. For this week's video I decided to try making a paper flower. I've seen similar flowers out there and I wanted to see if I could make a flower as well.

For the flower, I used some paper from Cosmo Cricket's Joy Ride collection. Such fun colors! Then I paired it with a Jenni Bowlin Vintage Sew-On button for the center of the flower.

Morning, all! Here we go–this is the card that supposed to be for last week’s Finally Friday. :)

Anyhow, for this card, I wanted to mainly focus on the words and create an interesting focal point with the large stamped letters (from Studio Calico’s Noah Alphabet) and the itty bitty letter stickers (one of Cosmo Cricket’s Tiny Type Sticker sheets). I also stamped the dots with BG’s Crumpet’s stamp set, and topped it off with a Prima flower.

BTW, Bazzill’s Kraft card stock is back in stock at TwoPeas. Grab it while you can! :)

CHALLENGE: Create a card using mostly words. Arrange them artfully and make it interesting. Upload your creation to the TwoPeas gallery (be sure to check this week’s Finally Friday video when you do), and your card will appear at the bottom of this week’s Finally Friday page.

We often use technology to store and backup our photos and ideas. But are you backing up some of the documentation you only have on line? I know I use Facebook to record a lot of the funny things my kids say. But am I saving that stuff anywhere else? 

Make a page or a tag using a facebook, twitter, myspace, message board post or e-mail. 
Post it in the gallery!

A superfast challenge for you: print a digital element from the Two Peas store! You can choose absolutely any element from any kit, as long as it's digital and it's from Two Peas. If you're a digital scrapper, choose something you can print and use on a paper project, like a notecard for a friend or a gift tag. If you're a paper scrapper, use this as an opportunity to find out just how easy it is to use digital elements right along with your paper! Just open the file and hit the print button to print the design on your choice of photo paper, cardstock, patterned paper, fabric...your choice!

There are plenty of free digital kits available so even if you have never downloaded a digital kit before, you can try it with absolutely no worry.

The project above (http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/gallery/member/2356-shimelle/1611161-coffee-cup-album/?c=t) is made by printing a digital kit from Wilna Furstenburg -- and she has a free kit for you to try this very idea! Or you can choose any other kit in the digi store that you like.

TO ENTER THIS CHALLENGE, you need to post a picture of your printed element -- you get to enter just for printing it, you don't have to use it yet! (We hope you'll print something you can use in another layout tonight!) So take a photo: you could take an action shot of the element coming out of your printer or you could hold it up to your webcam...whatever you would like. When you upload your photo to the gallery, be sure to do three things:
*Post this as a *photo* rather than a layout, since this isn't for a completed project.
*Check the challenge box to be entered to win!
*In the relate products step, click YES then select the kit that you chose to print your element!

Challenge: Use a die cut on your project. A die cut can be cut from your die cut machine or purchased. Search for "die cuts" here at 2Peas to see the many options you have. Die Cut papers, words, images, and embellishments will all count.

Nearly all of my images on this layout are die cuts: Top Ten List, numbers, and the label are all digital download shapes from Silhouette.

The 7 pm challenge this evening is to create a layout from this sketch/template. If you're a digi scrapper, download it to use for this challenge. Paper scrappers, you can treat this as a sketch. You can use any photos and supplies you would like for this sketch challenge.

Challenge: Use a stamp to create a background on a layout or card. You may use a digital brush or a traditional stamp. This project must be completed by 11 p.m. One winner will be selected to receive a prize from 2Peas.

I used an American Crafts Stamp to stamp flower behind my sentiment on this card. I used a dark orange so the flower would stand out from the background. You could use a word stamp, a background stamp, or an image stamp.
