American Crafts CHA Summer 2010 Sneak Peek

This summer’s CHA show is just around the corner, and American Crafts is excited to introduce five new themed lines to you—including two new Dear Lizzy lines co-designed with scrapbooker, Elizabeth Kartchner, and several holiday-themed lines.

These are our best releases to date—hope you like them!

Dear Lizzy Enchanted is the second line we’ve co-designed with Elizabeth Kartchner. Inspired, in part, by the traditional Alice in Wonderland mythology, Enchanted features whimsical floral and butterfly patterned paper (six are laser-cut), and key and teacup embellishments—perfect for creating an enchanted world with paper.

City Park feels like the sun is shining, breeze is blowing and birds are singing. Inspired by the atmosphere of Central Park, this bright, fun line captures the sweet essence of park animals, nature and recreation in a happy-go-lucky, head-in-the-clouds kind of way.

Boo!, our spooktacular new Halloween line, frightens and delights in a quirky, Tim Burton-esque way. Designs feature witches, vampires and ghosts; spider webs, pumpkins and bats. This line is perfect for handmade decorations or layouts capturing the fun of All Hallow’s Eve parties and trick-or-treating adventures.

Dear Lizzy Christmas is the third line we’ve co-designed with Elizabeth Kartchner, and the second Dear Lizzy line we’re introducing this summer. Featuring a vintage and nostalgic feel, this line focuses on the hand-made Christmas traditions of home. We think you’ll love the classic color pallete with a few cool touches added in for good measure.  Designs include popcorn garlands, wintry wonderlands and poinsettias.

Love, our new Valentine’s Day line is geared toward cardmakers, and has a traditional feel. It combines classic colors with a subtle turquoise accent. The concept for this line is “homemade Valentines and letterpress cards.” We hope you’ll pass lots of love around this Valentine’s Day!

Some of the new product categories you can look forward to in these lines are:

Bits– these decorative tags can be used for journaling, page decoration or everyday gift tags.

Mixtape– this fashion-oriented decorative tape is perfect for easily adding a colorful border to a card or layout.

Mementos– these self-adhesive metal embellishments add glamour to any project without over-the-top flash.

Delights Paper Flowers – pre-composed flowers that add just the right amount of pop to any project.

Just Write perforated journaling cards and envelopes.

And finally, here are a few sample projects using these new lines:

So, what did you think? Make sure you leave a comment and let us know!
