Welcome here on design team Saturday!
Since it is so close to November already and, like most of you will know, that will be the first month were we will have a guest designer we thought it would be nice to introduce our guest to you today. For those of you who do not know Michelle Wooderson already that is. Seeing the amount of votes she had that can't be many ;)
"Hi there. My name is Michelle Wooderson but most of my friends from the paper crafting world call me Mish. I am so excited to be this month's guest designer for Cosmo Cricket and am looking forward to digging into that goodie box! I have been a serious paper crafter for over 10 years but my roots of crafting go way back to the days of hoarding little lady bug stickers from stationery kits, looking forward to the new crayon box with the sharpener, and helping my mom prepare crafts for Bible school. O started scrapbooking after my first daughter was born 13 years ago. A local scrapbook store opened at about the same time and I was hooked from the moment I walked into that little shop. I have another daughter who is 12 who is super crafty and a great husband. We live in the heartland of Kansas and wouldn't trade the country life for anything.
I have worked for a lot of companies in the paper crafting and stamping industries over the years and have recently narrowed my list down to just a few companies so that I could pursue an Etsy shop venture. I love to create scrapbook pages, cards, kits, packaging items and gifts and then share them with the world through my blog called Mish Mash. Each item that I create comes from the heart and I think that is what my blog followers love the most about me. My projects have a special meaning and are usually made for specific people in mind. I make things that are simple to create and give lots of instructions so that my blog readers can say, "Hey, I can do this!"
My other hobbies include spending lots of time with my family and attending the girls' sporting events, gardening, sewing, quilting, cooking and junking. All of these hobbies are reflected in my creations ad you'll definitely see that when you visit my blog. I like to throw in fun stories about my life too so you just never know what you're gonna get when you visit Mish Mash. I hope you enjoy my creations this month and I would like to extend a huge thank you to the Cosmo Cricket team for having me as their guest designer. Let the crafting begin!"
Michelle we are so exciting to have you as our guest and can't wait to see your first creation next Saturday!
For this Saturday we thought is was about time for an other challenge so you will all have a chance to play along and maybe even win a prize ;)
This week it was Wendy Sue's turn to come up with a challenge and all of us loved what she came up with!
"I was thinking it would be fun to issue a challenge based on an image...so-I'd love to share this image (from pottery barn) with you and have everyone create something based on it. It can be the colors, the layout, the theme - whatever inspired you. Also, you can create a layout, a card, or some other type of project. I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!"
Let's start with Wendy Sue's own take on this challenge! She used the new Circa 1934.
Next is Laura who came up with this great card, also using Circa 1934.
Circa 1934 was very populair for this challenge since also Gudrun used it! Maybe it being such an awesome release has something to do with it?! ;)
Debbie was really inspired as well, making this awesome card using Earth Love.
This layout by Amy really has an autumn feel to it. She used Haunted and Matilda papers.
With this next project there is something you need to know....it isn't finished jet! An unfinished project you might think, who is going to show that on a blog?! Well Natasja does, lol. This challenge really inspired her to make this vintage wreath using Circa 1934. It is almost finished so you get the idea of how it will turn out. She promised to share a new picture when it's done ;)
Now are you as inspired as we were?! Make sure to share your creation by leaving a link in your comment and who knows.....you could win a Circa 1934 craftkit! We'll announce the winner next Saturday.
See there was nothing spooky here...except for maybe the length of this post!
Happy Holloween and happy scrappin'!

Cosmo Cricket "Three is a Magic Number"
Eric and Julie are back from their business trip, but from the moment they got off the plane, they headed directly for what some of you have heard me to refer as the "Fortress of Solitude".
The Fortress is really were the magic happens.
It is at this location that Eric "Harry Houdini" Comstock and Julie "Wonka" Comstock, close their door (no one comes in, no one comes out), clips the wires on their land line, crank up Mr. Peabody's Way Back Machine (their Mac's), say a few chants, sprinkle some scrapbook creativity dust, and then go to work.
I don't think I will see them again until the premiere of Tron Legacy due out December 17th or maybe the Winter Solstice.
They are working really hard right now, so no blog yesterday and very late afternoon blog today.
First item of business, give away prizes from Wednesdays drawing. We had three ( Which according to "Schoolhouse Rock" is a magic number. (Some of you who commented might say that 211 is magic number- sorry!)
Sara Perez, Cj Brandon, and Marla J. ..................................... You are officially Cosmo Cricket blog drawing winners!
Congratulations!
You need to email jade at cosmocricket dot com your address and by carrier pigeon, pony espress, or UPS, your prizes will arrive.
And last, it looks to me like Angela Remper Fehr has her own "Fortress of Solitude" and also a scrapbook store in her neck of the woods, where she not only purchased Circa 1934, but spent some "Angela time" creating the awesome project below:
Have a really great weekend!

Cosmo Cricket Mission Not impossible Day 3 Not Complete
I hope that you have had as much fun as I have this week.
Thanks for putting up with all my goofiness.
You guys really know how to make it fun and a secret scrapbook agent feel important!
I hope you can tell I love what I do!
I just hope when the voice on the recorder (which by the way sounded remarkably like Julie- i wonder if someone has been practicing their Julie voice) thinks it was a success when she gets back.
If not, it will be back to the padded cell, my caffeine intake will be cut by 50%, 3 little yellow pills, 2 red, 1 blue, and I will be forced to listen each day to agent 6'6"'s (Eric) Elvis Costello CD's, a thought I cannot stand to bare.
Ok- Time to re-assess my mission:
Blog up by 12:00 MST each day- CHECK
Great Projects- CHECK
At least 15 comments per day- CHECK
Prize Drawing- Non completed task
Here are some terrific projects that were left on our Facebook Fan page-
First up Amy Tsuruta and a beautiful little project that she calls " Together we can."
Amy used our Wanted Mini Decks and created this very elegant card. Amy you were able to show that you don't have to have cowboy, cowgirl, rodeo clowns, or horse pictures to use the Wanted paper. I am really impressed!
Next in honor of Halloween this week, Mellissa Geddings Thiessebrings it with her Spooky Matilda House. Love the way she used the chipboard shapes, which by the way I love, and the characters remind me of Saturday morning cartoons.
And then there's Donna. Donna Braaten-Budzynski. She takes our Haunted Halloween collection and makes this super sweeeeeeeet "Haunted Hanger."
I do have a question for you Donna. You know when you get one of those forms that you have to put each letter of your name in, are there enough bubbles?
To finish off my mission, it's time for a drawing. Leave a comment and we will draw 3 winners later this week for a Matilda Mini Deck and Chipboard, a Wanted Mini Deck and Chipboard, and a Togetherness Mini Deck and Chipboard.
Thanks again for making my mission a success!
Have a great day!
P.S. I just got word that scrapgrlz is also having a giveaway on their blog.
Heres the link:http://scrapgrlz.typepad.com/craaaaazy/2010/10/wednesday-winners-something-spooky-from-cosmo-cricket.html

As many of you have pointed out yesterday's mission was accomplished!
With 47 dedicated, fearless, incredible, super talented blog commenter's ( secret agents or perhaps scrapbook agents) by my side, how could I fail?
With all the comments from yesterday I was wondering if the voice on the recorder would let me count them toward today and tomorrow. As I pondered this, I could hear another voice in my head that sounded much like Julie, telling me "no I couldn't do that."
Thinking day 2 would be a piece of cake.....I started to focus on writing the blog ... Things were eerily quiet for a few moments.
Almost as if I had a sixth sense, This intuitive feeling came over me that someone was here at our offices. Or perhaps it was the fact that Jade had said someone was here to see me.
Then suddenly............ she appeared......................................out of no where....as if a meteour falling from the sky............She was radiant as she stood at my doorway wearing a London Fog trench coat, a hat made for Sinatra, and a pair of black stiletto's, that could cut a 12" x 12" sheet of Cosmo Cricket Cardstock faster than you could say Fiskars Trimmer.
There was total silence in the room. I looked intently at her as a man would glare at the site of his first Papa Murphy's All meat 14" thin crust take and bake pizza.
You could have heard a bowling pin drop.
We both knew why she was here. There was no denying the energy that existed in the room at that very moment at that very time.
You could have cut it with a MS 880 STIHL Magnum™ Chain Saw.
It was if time had stopped. I stumbled to find the right words to say. This wasn't the first time this had happened to me.
Suddenly, I spoke, " hello", said in my coolest voice ever. (I do impersonations sometimes which has really helped me develop the talent to talk cool.)
She smiled, her teeth shining as if she, that very morning had flossed with Glossy Accents.
She in a very sultry voice, said "hello" back. ( I wondered the whole time if she was like me and practiced her sultry voice.)
"I know why you're here", I exclaimed. She said, "I know." (I actually got a little confused by her comment. I thought to myself, " Is she saying she knows that I know or was there something that she knew that I didn't know.)
She had traveled some miles to be here. She was committed and passionate. Before she could say another word, both of our eye's, her set and my set, as if choreographed, landed upon a set of boxes placed firmly against the wall.
I gently picked up her Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934 order for her store and placed it in her car.
You couldn't have found two more satisfied people on the planet. I was very happy and proud of her!
The morning couldn't have been more beautiful.
And then again, check out the projects below that were sent to us from a Million Memories that were included in their September kit:

Day two- how'd I do?
Have a really great day!

Cosmo Cricket Mission Not Impossible
Julie is out of the office on business this week and when I arrived at the office this morning there was a tape recorder on my desk. My curiosity was peaked. I arrived early so no one else was around.
I gently pushed down on the play tab and a womans voice started to speak:
"Good Morning Mr. Moore, I have to be gone for the next three days on a secret business trip with agent 6'6" (Eric) This creates a bleak situation for our blog followers as I will not be able to be around to do tutorials, post layouts, or create projects.
As you are well aware, our blog followers are very important to us and also the national security of the craft and hobby industry.
"Your mission, should you decide to accept it", is to have the blog up everyday by noon, show great projects,, garner at least 15 commments per day, and sometime during the week have a blog drawing.
"As always, should you be caught in a situation where you fail at your mission, Cosmo Cricket will disavow any knowledge of your actions" and tease the heck out of you".
As I sat for a few minutes wondering if I should accept this assignment, and also what I was going to have for lunch today, the voice came on again and stated "this tape will self-destruct in five seconds". Before I could count to thirty, smoke started to emit from the tape recorder.
(Actually I don't know if it was smoke. It was more like a cloud of dust. I think that tape recorder must have been in someone's attic for a long long time.)
As I pondered back and forth what I should do, beads of sweat were accumulating on my forehead. I wanted to make a good decision. Finally the answer came........................ I'll be having the Turkey Spinach sandwich for lunch.
Oh yeah.............. I also thought that I had better accept the assignment given to take care of the blog, so here I am.
Okay ladies, these next few projects rocked the Cosmo Cricket house today!
This fabulous card is courtesy of one Kary Lim:
How about Cathy Harper Valley PTA. I mean Cathy Harper. Sweeeeeeeeeeet!
And then there is Jennifer Beason. Jennifer Jennifer Jennifer where did you get all of that talent?
And thanks to all for sharing!
Have a great day!

Hi guys! How are you all doing?! Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend so far.
Today we would like to show you some great projects featuring all kinds of Ready Set Chipboard. As you probably know most of the lines have the 12 x 12" sheets, the new lines (like Togetherness, Pixie-Licious and Mitten Weather) also have the 6 x 12" sheets (which are awesome to add in workshop kits by the way!) and of course we have the Ready Set Chip Alphabets.
Yukari used the old time favorite Mr. Campy together with Chipboard Alpha's from the Nutmeg collection.
Amy shares two layouts with us. This first one shows Early Bird and the extra extra Ready Set Chip Alpha's
This second layout features Nutmeg
This cute bag is made by Wendy Sue where she used Matilda
Gudrun and Natasja both used the Joy Ride collection for their layout. This first one is from Gudrun, she added some Ironport Ready Set Chip Alpha's
This last layout is by Natasja, she used the Fairy Tales Ready Set Chip Alpha's for her title.
We hope you have fun paying with your Ready Set Chipboard and we hope we inspired you a bit.
Have a great weekend and happy scrappin'

Cosmo Cricket -Fridays Winners, Projects and Questions answered
Thank you all for all of your comments yesterday. The field trip was fun, no one got hurt, no one got lost, and we had two winners! Julie and I were talking this morning, we may have to do a few more field trips at various locations.
Yesterdays winners were April W. who commented at 2:31PM and Theresa Grdina.
Ladies, it's quick, easy, and painless.....Simple email jade at cosmocricket dot com your address and she will, while no one's looking, pack up your Circa kits and send them your way via your UPS truck.
Next- I thought I would take a few minutes and answer some of your questions from yesterday?
"How come most scrapbook companies are located in Utah?"
Answer: Most of us were placed in the FBI's witness protection program and were relocated here, given jobs, and new identities. I'm sticking to my answer, but some people think it's because this is where Creating Keepsakes magazines launched and people from Utah are really into preserving their family histories.
"How is it possible to do it with only 9 employee's?"
Answer: Pardon the baseball pun, but all of our bases are covered. Plus- really, our fearless leader Julie, and her hubby Eric can play all nine positions and takes uopon themselves a huge amount of the work. I don't know if I have ever met anyone that works harder.
"How far is the bike ride?"
Answer: 5.6 miles, 12 pot holes, and two dead racoons, each way.
Okay, last but certainly not least, in honor of Halloween next week, these super projects below are courtesy of one Amy Heller. We love her work and appreciate all that she does.
Have a super great weekend!

Cosmo Cricket Projects and a whole bag of popcorn
Confession- I just barely microwaved and devoured a whole big bag of "gourmet popcorn." Does that tell you what kind of day I have had?
It's late Tuesday and Julie asked me to help her with three things, of which I still have two left. Scratch that, only one now.
(I left composing this blog to take care of one of the other favors she needed.)
Thought I would share some fun projects from our Facebook Friends.
Take a look!
Tanisha Leary Long created this eeriely awesome Halloween Layout.
Wanted Mini Deck Card courtesy of Kim Duran.
Jennifer Cooke Longenecker using Togetherness.
Thanks ladies! Great projects!
Have a terrific day, I guess I should say night!
