Table for 4 at Tucci's...........
Last week was whirlwind. Grand baby born on Thursday, Left for California Saturday morning, got back late last night, and off to Minneapolis in the morning.
Would someone mind making sure that the weather in Minneapolis is in the 70's or 80's and if Tucci's has a table available for four on Saturday night?
This year we are bringing Laura from our office with us and her husband Shawn. They both are stoked. It's their first time as Scrap Festers or as I like to refer to to them, Scrap Fest virgins.
Who's Laura? Well Laura is our college paid intern that works upstairs in our Creative room, while attending school.
She is bubbly, happy, excited, ecstatic and your going to love her. I don't know much about her husband, but we have a suspicion that his head will be spinning after this event for months.
We do know Shawn loves sports. Julie is really curious to see how having two men, (one being still just a boy and the other, advanced in age who acts like a boy), works out.
Could this be a case of the "changing of the guard? Out with the old and in with the new?
I'm kidding! And.....I hope not!
Tomorrow night we will be at our good friend Sue's Store in Minneapolis, Scrapbooks Too. We have a fun class with prizes for everyone. If your from the area, we would love to see you there!
We will try to blog and show pictures this week of our travels, so those who couldn't make it this year, can get a glimpse of the craziness!
On another note:
I love pleasant surprises and when I got back to the office today this is what was emailed to me:
The projects above were created by Anglea Fehr. Way to use your Cosmo Cricket stash Angela! Look how she used three different Cosmo Cricket collections in the one just above. Lil Man, The Boyfriend, and yes for this boy layout, Material Girl.
Have a great day!

Good Morning. It's Julie here. I'm back at least for today, and I have some exciting news....... we have gone digital!
Many have asked, many have pleaded, and some have bribed, but it took Jessica Sprague to seal the deal. That's right, there are digital packs of Cosmo Cricket goodies on Jessica's site as we speak! All you need is Photoshop Elements, a printer and this address for Jessica's site to get started. She even has a free online class here if you, like myself, don't know what you're doing yet.
Check out these great projects using Girl Friday Digital.
Cathy Pascual made a couple double-page hybrid layouts.
(I love these flowers and will be trying them soon!)
A 100% digital layout by Erica Coombs
Nutmeg is also available and more lines are planned for the future!
Chrissy Guido made this darling layout.
Here's one from Emily Cheney.
And one last one from Jennifer McCabe.
Jessica's team made so many other fabulous layouts. You can see them and lots of others from scrappers like yourselves in the Jessica Sprague galleries.
OK, now for our "Congrats Grandpa Lindsay" winner........ Jean Bradsher! Jean, send your info to jade at cosmocricket dot com and she'll get you your Pixie-licious!
Have a great day everyone!!!

Congratulations Grandpa Lindsay!
That's right, Lindsay will not be joining you for today's blog entry because he is on his way to meet his first grandbaby!
Perfectly healthy Mailey was born early this morning weighing in at 7lbs 14 oz and being 18.5" long. He didn't find out if she had hair or not. Mailey's mom is doing great too and even the father survived without injury.
Lindsay says being called Grandpa makes him feel old, so of course, that's all we've been calling him. And, I occasionally have to break into the song, "I've got a golden ticket....." from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. But, somehow Grandpa Lindsay doesn't have the same ring as Grandpa Jo.
Leave congratulations today and we'll enter you into a random drawing for some Pixie-licious goodies which would look awesome with grandbaby photos on it!
Have a great day everyone.

Cosmo Cricket Quick Facts and here's to you Izzy Anderson
"Now Izzy Anderson created layouts,
that we are featuring today
The first she calls Beach Bum,
the second Sail Away"
She won the Scrapbook Challenge,
And we can all see why
Her projects are amazing,
how bout that banner in the sky?
Izzy thanks for sharing,
that was awfully kind of you
We will be sending prizes out,
In a day or two."
Izzy great job!
Way to combine Snorkel and Lil man, never seen the two lines look better together!
Cosmo Cricket Quick Fact:
When we first started Cosmo Cricket, all emails had to have a different Cosmo Cricket sign off instead of your name.
Example- If someone was in a hurry, it might be something like "cosmo a gogo", or maybe "cosmo gottogoski", If it was late at night, it might be something like, "cosmo moonlighting", cosmo afterdark, etc.
Then we changed and required all emails to be in rhyme form.

Julie disqualified...We have a winner!
We totally got a kick last week out of the questions that you asked Eric and Julie. They had a really fun time answering them.

Time for a challenge and a chance to win Matilda
Hi all you Cosmo fans!!
Don't you have those moments were you are just moving around your papers...going nowhere? We think we all have that problem sometimes. This week we show you that there is inspiration everywhere.
We challenged our selves by taking a layout found on the web and use it as a sketch for our projects.
So here is the layout we tumbled upon and thought was great to use!
This first layout is by Gudrun Loennecken where she used "Pixie-Licious".
This "Wanted" card is done by Debbie Olsen. Who said you only can use this inspiration on a layout? ;)
The next three projects or all done with the same line, "Matilda" Let's go and take a look!
Wendy Sue Anderson made this fun pumpkin layout
let's look at some details
This next card is by the hand of Laura Craige. Same line, noticed the difference in shade with Wendy Sue's layout?
Since they do not celebrate Halloween in the Netherlands Natasja Verbeek took a complete different take on "Matilda"!
and again some details
Isn't it fun to see all these different outcomes while we all used the same inspiration and some even the same line?!
How about showing us what you come up with using the Cosmo Cricket homepage as your inspiration?! Link us up in a comment and who knows, you could win the Matilda mini-line (a 6" mini deck, buttons and a 6" set of Ready, Set, Chipboard)! The winner will be announced Saturday next week!
Have an inspired weekend!

Happy Anniversary Eric and Julie!
Just when I thought there was nothing to blog about, opportunity presents itself.
Below is an interview I just recently held with Eric and Julie concerning their 17th Anniversary.
Lindsay: "Julie, what was you're first thought when you met Eric?"
Julie: "I thought he was a really good dresser and if I married him I would never have to use a step ladder to get things out of my Pantry."
Lindsay" "Eric same question"
Eric: " I wonder if she knows who Elvis Costello is, deal breaker if she doesn't!"
Lindsay: "Julie where did Eric take you on your first date?"
Julie: "Would you re-phrase the question?"
Lindsay: "How?"
Julie: "Where did I take him on our first date?" "The movies!"
Lindsay: "Eric- Do yo remember what Julie was wearing the first time the two of you met?"
Eric: " I remember like it was yesterday. Julie was wearing chanel #5 and a little bit of Reese's Peanut Butter Cup around her mouth.
Lindsay: Julie is Eric correct?
Julie: "Actually it was Charlie and a Hershey's bar.
Lindsay: "Eric how old was Julie when you met her?"
Eric: 126 years in Dog Years or 218 Months, whichever you prefer."
Lindsay: If my calculations are correct that would be 18?
Eric: Technically, if you round it off to the nearest whole number it would be almost 19"
Lindsay: "Julie I'm sure that you dated a lot guys, how did Eric catch you?"
Julie: " He had better sneakers than me"
Happy Anniversary to the two of you!
Blog followers, leave a question that you would like to ask Eric and Julie and be entered for a chance to win, how fittingly, A Togetherness Paper Crafting Kit, Chipboard, and Stickers.
We will be drawing on Monday!

As most of you know, I grew up in the 70's. (although some would wonder if I will ever grow up).
There was a song that I loved by the Steve Miller Band called Big Ole Jet Airliner. I had a Friend, who was a girl, who I considered pretty smart, Blonde, that thought the song was "Big Ole Hair Net Liner." No joke.
Speaking of Big Ole Jet Airliners, in two weeks from today the Cosmo Cricket team will be embarking on a trip of Biblical proportion, like Moses of old.
We will unite and in some cases reunite, with billions of women everywhere as they flock from various parts of the world to come and visit with their favorite manufacturers, take paper crafting classes, do make and takes, get away with their friends, and bring people like us goodies.
Last year, I received three pair of socks, 2 red apples, a granola bar, a Heath Bar, a Cinnabon (yum yum), a bag of kettle chips ( I love Kettle Chips), Juju fruits, A stick of Gum, a map of the Mall of America, and an unedited version of John Wayne's " The Cowboys" on VHS. Someone even offered lunch.
Julie received a ton of great things too, although I think my bag was bigger than hers.
People are so nice to us when we come and we feel like family.
We also participate in something that we call, Crop Around Town. This happens after the make and takes are finished for the day and it's where we go to a local Archivers store and hang out, eat snacks, teach a class, tell of our adventures and miss-adventures, and giveaway prizes. This always fills up fast and we love it.
Want to see the class were teaching?
Take a look:
It will be fun! Hope to see you there!
Have a great day!
