Day 5 - Some Funky Fresh Jive

Alright Maya Roadies; we hope our Sneak Peeks have got you dancing. You have made it to DAY 5 of Maya Road's Peeks. Tomorrow we will share with you ALL - that is right - ALL of the catalog and more DT inspiration than you can shake a stick at! For today - you will just have to settle for some new products.

Let's start with our Canvas items - in our last show, we sold out of our original Canvas Binder with envelopes - what about a brand new Square Canvas Binder?  This sweet album has has a chipboard binder base, 4 chipboard pages, a canvas cover (which you can remove) and 2 canvas envelopes. The album is about 5" x 5" in dimension. You get all of this for about $9.50 in the US.

IMG_5466

IMG_5467

IMG_5468

But we didn't stop there - what about a beautiful Canvas Tag Album:

IMG_5435

Or a Frayed Edge Triangle Canvas Banner (complete with rings)

IMG_5458

What about a 3 Ring Rectangular Canvas Banner?

Each of the 3 albums / banners above come with 6 pages all the rings and retails for $6 or less in the US!

How SWEET IS THAT?

Just wait til you see what our DT did with these lovelies.

Next we wanted to share with you some of our acrylic items - check out this ATC stand. It comes complete with 4 chipboard ATC cards and the rings. This stand would be great for an ATC swap - all all your cards to this and enjoy!

IMG_5462

And what about this Wavy Layer Book (yes it matches the chipboard wavy layer book). This album is photographed with the protective covering on it - just remove for a beautiful album!

IMG_5464

And oh we cannot forget one of our newest items - this is our self adhesive FELT BADGES! We have 4 sets of felt badges - each set is embellished with beautiful stitching, bling and beads! The felt is super soft - it is a must have for any of your projects. These badges will retail for about $5 - a great deal with all the hand stitching and bling added to each set!

Check out the Nature Lover Set:

IMG_5430

What about some Sweet Cupcakes Set?

IMG_5426

Or a Fruit Basket Set:

IMG_5427

Or a Birds Of A Feather Set?

IMG_5424

And we cannot leave you without sharing with you some ART from our beloved Design Team so check it out. We love love love that we can bring you affordable products that begin as a "blank canvas" (pun intended) and they can look totally different once you make it your own by adding your unique signature to our products. And think of each of our chipboard items and acrylic items as a base to add your own recipe to the mix!

For now, enjoy the eye candy our DT has worked so hard to bring you!

Day 4 - Are You Ready For More?

We hope you all have had a great weekend! We are back and ready to show you more peeks! There were a couple of questions about timing of products - all items that we have shown so far - except the trinket flowers will begin shipping in the middle of February. The flowers (along with one other item we are showing tomorrow) will ship in the middle of April.

Considering we are already towards the end of January, late February is not that far away!!!

Also there was a question about "recipe for a happy child" mini coaster album - well DT member - Lia A. who designed it for us will be sharing it on the DT blog later this week so be on the look out for it.

Today, we wanted to share with you some of our Chipboard Albums and Stamps. We are also going to throw in 3 other Chipboard Coasters as we didn't have the space to share them on Day 1. Hope you are ready for some more eye candy!

Let's start with our new albums - what about a new bird cage one?

IMG_5364

This beauty is a huge 6" x 7.2". But you know here at MR, we always are trying to think up more ways to offer you value and designs that make you go wow - so while the first page of this album is die cut as shown and the middle pages are solid, guess what the back of the bird cage album looks like?

IMG_5365

Yes, a bunch of birds for you to use for your birdcage! How cool is that?

Now we move onto our next chipboard album - what about a dress form one? This one has a die cut heart on the front and the leg stand on the last page.

IMG_5366

Now what about a cool wave album?

IMG_5363

Or what about an All-Mixed-Up Album where each page has a different type of edge?

IMG_5418

And since we didn't have enough space last week, we didn't include all the coaster albums - here are 3 more for you to check out.

What about a Modern Label one?

IMG_5360

Or a cute Baby Onsie?

IMG_5361

Or a cute Owl II?

IMG_5362

And also we wanted to share with you our 2 chipboard sheets!

Check out this borders 2 one:

IMG_5369

And what about a Mini Scroll Layer Book (complete with 2 rings and all the chipboard pieces you need to complete an album for less than $5!)

IMG_5370

Still with us? Because now we want to share with our some of our new stamps! All of our stamps are made in the US of high quality photopolymer. We offer some new sizes including our 4" x 4" sheets and 2" x 3" singletons.

What about a Create-A-Forest set - mix and match the trees and tops to create a whole forest of fun! The possibilities are endless! This is a 4" x 4" sheet.

IMG_5376

What about a set of Geometric Designs? This is also a 4" x 4" sheet.

IMG_5375

Or how about a Mini Triangle Banner Set - mix and match for thousands of options - a 4" x 4" sheet:

IMG_5377

So what about a Sew Cute Singleton Set?

IMG_5378

Or how about a Smartie Owl Singleton Stamp?

IMG_5379

Or a cool Edges Singleton Set?

IMG_5381

And what about an Our Town Singleton Set - can you see there are over 13 stamps on here?

IMG_5380

Now check out the AMAZING projects from our design team!

For this dress form CREATE banner below, we had a couple of tips from DT member - Katie W - on it! You will notice that each dress form piece has the stand shown below:

Create

Katie wanted something that she could hang on the wall and have the legs very sturdy also. Katie traced the legs on the bonus sheet of chipboard that comes with our Leaves Chipboard Sheet (did you know we had a bonus backing sheet on the back of these)? Then she traced the same legs onto the black card that some of our mini chipboards, mini sheers and chandelier beads come in like this one:

IMG_0452

She then glued them both together and sanded them to get the look you see! Pretty cool huh?

And we had tons of comments on the Dangling Chandelier beads - check out this neat trick from Lisa P. (and do you see something you might see tomorrow in our last day of Peeks?). Yes you can alter the beads with Copics and Alcohol Inks. Or what about this idea from Lisa - cut the words out of an old book put glossy accents on the word then attached them to the back of the bead.

HPIM9908

Whew, that is it. Please let us know what you liked about today's peek. Our FINAL PEEK is tomorrow and yes we still have more stuff up our sleeves! Leave us a comment; we will be picking a winner each day to win a little new goodies prize pack during Sneak Peek Week!

Have a great Monday!

Day 2 Sneak Peeks - "RESISTING" the Urge To Get Misty and Inky!

So before we start Day 2 peeks, someone had a question about the cooking set of chipboards - we think you mean this one:

IMG_2995

This What's Cookin' Set came out about 1 month ago and has been shipping to retailers!

You can see more of it in all its beauty here:

DSC_0138

Oh and before we forget, all the chipboard, kraft and envelope goodness you saw yesterday are on their way to our warehouse and will start shipping shortly after CHA!!

Today is Maya Mist, Ink and Resist Peek Day!

Let's start off with our Inks - we had a fabulous release with our 1" Ink Pads last time, but check out what we have in store for you this time - Maya Road 1" Metallic Ink Pads!

IMG_5266

These ink pads are amazing as they are a wonderful complement to our chipboards. If you are looking for a matte metallic look on chipboard, check out what you can do here. Here is the silver one on one of our chipboard numbers:

IMG_5272

Here is the charcoal one on a chipboard keychain (and check out the extra peek at the little bird - hmmm wonder when he will show up again?):

IMG_5311

Here is the blue, pink, silver, bright silver and gold one in use. All you have to do is ink the chipboard with the metallic ink pads for an amazing look. Take the ink pad and swipe it on the chipboard two to three times to give it a matte metallic look. Or complete the look with some stickles or clear crackle paint!

HPIM9878

Closer look

Each ink pad is only $2.25 retail!

Now, along with these ink pads, we have a superb selection of 6 new Metallic Maya Mists!  The colors are Pink Grapefruit, Cotton Candy, Salmon, Tangerine, Blue Corn and Latter Metallic Mists.

Here are the new mist colors and how they look on chipboard. All it took was about 2 sprays per number to get this look!

IMG_5324

Check out how the mists look on one of our mini chipboard banners:

IMG_5318

And here is the pink grapefruit on one of our chipboard keychains:

IMG_5317

You can also see we have been getting inky - check out this canvas we did mixing the Cotton Candy Metallic Mist with the Tangerine one with gesso - the colors come out amazingly soft and a totally different look than the mist directly on canvas or chipboard!

IMG_5028

Related to this, we are pleased to announce the arrival of a new Maya Road product - Maya Resist!

This Maya Resist is a pretty darn cool product. It is formulated to work with our Maya Mists, Ink Pads and also regular acrylic paints! The resist comes in a bottle like this - please excuse this bottle as it is the only one we have here - our workhorse bottle. The rest of the Maya Resist are on their way to CHA or coming to our warehouse! Trust us, the bottles will be prettier when you see them in person.

IMG_5327

You can purchase the Resist with and without the thin applicator tip as it is reusable.

The Maya Resist allows you to create a mask on most surfaces - chipboard, most papers, most canvas, etc. The Resist is a fluid product which allows you to create very detailed masking with the applicator tip. You can even create a mask with your signature - the fluid nature of the product allows you to write and doodle if you wish.

Here is a step by step example of what you can do.

Check this canvas banner we started painting with a mixture of Salmon Metallic Mist, Cotton Candy Metallic Mist and gesso.

IMG_5273

Next, we used the Maya Resist and drew a heart. You can see that the resist comes out in a opaque blue color.

IMG_5274

Next we allowed the Maya Resist to dry til it was a clear blue (about 10 minutes but will depend on the humidity):

IMG_5275

Then we took some more of the Cotton Candy Metallic Mist and applied it to the canvas and wiped the excess off of the resist part.

IMG_5276

Then carefully start lifting off the resist and this is what you see:

IMG_5278

IMG_5279

And gently peel off the Resist Mask and dispose of it and here is what you have!

IMG_5280

How pretty and easy is that? Check out how this banner now looks all decked out (and hey is that an EARLY PEEK at a Maya Road Trinket Blossom and canvas banner?). We also dyed some yellow seam binding with the Latte Metallic Mist:

IMG_5299

IMG_5302

Here is another example of the Maya Resist in action.

We drew a flower on a canvas  with the Maya Resist and allowed it to dry til it was clear blue:

IMG_4911

Next we used some of our Silver Metallic Mist and sprayed over the flower and wiped off the excess.

IMG_4913

Next we started pulling off the Maya Resist mask - you can see how easily it comes off:

IMG_4914

IMG_4916

And finally, check it out!

IMG_4917

How easy and cool is that?

And we have one more peek for you - this one is sorta of a category by itself. About 5 years ago, we started making Maya Road Mega Bottlecaps. We had sold out of them for a while and decided to bring them back since we had so many requests for them. Our Mega Bottlecaps were almost 2" in diameter. Well, we wanted to bring in something even bigger and more fabulous - what about an almost 3" Super Mega Bottlecap? Check it out here right next to the 2" one:

IMG_5231

There are a ton of possiblities - here is what we turned one of the Super Mega Bottlecaps into:

IMG_5233

We hope you have enjoyed the Day 2 Peeks!

Maya Road Peeks - Day 1 - Minis, Kraft and More!

Welcome, welcome, welcome to Maya Road's Sneak Peeks! The big tradeshow is next week and we are ready to go but before we do, we wanted to inspire you each day for the next 5 days with some peeks. Leave us a comment each day and tell us what you like or your favorite is; each day we will pick a winner to receive a MR prize pack to enjoy! Comments close for each day when the next day peeks are up.

Let's go!

Some of our most popular items we cannot keep in stock are our mini chipboards, kraft items and coasters - today we will share with you a peek at some of each!

Let's start with our minis - what about a mini sewing set. Our design team flipped over these cuties:

IMG_5152

Then we followed it up with the most amazing mini butterflies (yes you get both the base and die cut ones)

IMG_5161

And who wouldn't love a mini (yes mini) scallop triangle banner set. The pieces are separate so you can layer and mix and match if you wish.

IMG_5167

Now how about some mini letters to join the fun?

IMG_2998

IMG_3005

Next, let's see what krafty things we have coming - ya'll couldn't get enough of our last set of kraft envelopes - what about 2 new sets:

IMG_5200

IMG_5204

And how about some cute kraft tags to go with this set (it comes complete with eyelets and string too!)

IMG_5182

Next here are some sweet kraft tickets - perfect for accents and journaling:

IMG_5189

Finally, let's check out some of our signature Maya Road coasters!

What about a classic label album?

IMG_5235

What about a fresh delish strawberry coaster?

IMG_5258

Or what about a tall skinny townhouse?

IMG_5259

Or a cute little elephant?

IMG_5264

And finally our soccer/basketball coaster - it is an embossed soccer ball on one side:

And a basketball on the other side. We believe in versatility - since you typically cover the inside pages of a coaster album, choose the sport you want and go, go, go!

Now, let's see what our fabulous design team has done putting together some projects using some of todays peeks!

Let's go!

Some of our most popular items we cannot keep in stock are our mini chipboards, kraft items and coasters - today we will share with you a peek at some of each!

Let's start with our minis - what about a mini sewing set. Our design team flipped over these cuties:

Then we followed it up with the most amazing mini butterflies (yes you get both the base and die cut ones)

And who wouldn't love a mini (yes mini) scallop triangle banner set. The pieces are separate so you can layer and mix and match if you wish.

Now how about some mini letters to join the fun?

Next, let's see what krafty things we have coming - ya'll couldn't get enough of our last set of kraft envelopes - what about 2 new sets:

And how about some cute kraft tags to go with this set (it comes complete with eyelets and string too!)

Next here are some sweet kraft tickets - perfect for accents and journaling:

Finally, let's check out some of our signature Maya Road coasters!

What about a classic label album?

What about a fresh delish strawberry coaster?

Or what about a tall skinny townhouse?

Or a cute little elephant?
