NEW NEWS

After 2 years of crafting and creating we have grown to love everything about the papercraft and scrapbooking world. Tinkering Ink has debuted new and innovative products like finery, beadles and peek- a-boo albums. The bold and artistic appearance of Kezia Whitteker’s unique color pallets and designs have brought a fresh new look to the industry. Recently we have decided to combine the ability of our Ink with a new Inc. "Creativity Inc." that is. By merging Kezia’s talents with the long standing success and resources of Creativity Inc. (home of Autumn Leaves) we can offer limitless possibilities for creating and manufacturing new products and a broader range of choices.  So we will be at the Craetivity Inc booth #3835 at the upcoming Winter CHA 2009. Kezia Whitteker will be there and so will her designs and ideas. Stay tuned for more news regarding Tinkering Ink. We may have moved but we have more fun in store for you in the future!

Thanks to all of our loyal scrappers and paper crafters. We have enjoyed seeing your creations and getting to know you. We are looking forward to many more creative years ahead.

Peek-a-boo mini

Happy Thursday. Today I am going to share a mini album I made using Peek-a-boo pieces. It’s a mixture of chipboard and acrylic shapes.

The photos are from our trip to Arizona in September. This was Alex’s first road trip.

First I picked the shapes I wanted to use in my album. I use Adobe Photoshop to resize and print my photos according to the size of each piece. After that, I did a little planning on how I wanted each page to look. I kept the embellishments simple because I think the photos are really cute. I sanded all the edges to give the photos and paper a finished look.

I used Meadow, Trellis and Papillon patterned paper from Beau Jardin collection.

I added Transfers to some of the pages: Peek-a-boo, Beau Jardin and Reflection.

Well, I hope you like it.

Tomorrow is Friday and I will be giving away some awesome Tinkering Ink goodies. See you then.

Snowflakes

I love snowflakes and when I got the Classic Holiday stamp set I was really excited.

For this card I stamped the snowflake with white craft ink. I stamped and cut out one of the snowflakes and added glitter while the ink was still wet. I used pop dots for some dimension. The patterned paper is from Yuletide collection.

Here is a tag set that I created using the same Classic Holiday stamp set and Yuletide paper collection. The tags are from an office supply store. I want to use these on my gifts this year. I die cut the snowflake, covered it with stamp glue and applied glitter.

Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving all the wonderful comments.

I will be back tomorrow.

Simple and easy

I'm so excited to be the TI blogger this week! The hardest part was trying to decide what to post each day.

I decided that I will start with simple and easy card set. This is a perfect little gift for someone. I have made several of these lately and I found that mass production is the key.

I gather all my supplies first. I typically use blank greeting cards (white or ivory) that I get at a craft store when they are on sale. They come with envelopes. I cut the strips of paper, get my ink and stamps ready.

For this project I used Evelyn patterned paper from Retro Metro collection, and Spring Stamp Set.

I start by adhering the strips of patterned paper to all my cards (10 in this set). I use my first card as a guide where to adhere the strip on the next card so that they all look even. It doesn’t have to be perfect, they are one of a kind.

After that I start stamping my images. I stamp the flourish on all the cards, then the flowers and the bird last. This way you are dealing with one stamp and ink pad at a time and it goes really fast. I stamp my sentiment last.

After that all you have to do is package your gift. I used some fabric scraps to match and stamped another flourish from the Spring Stamp Set on the tag. I will be putting this in a little white gift bag with green, yellow and purple tissue paper.

What do you think? I hope you enjoyed this little “tutorial”. I will be back tomorrow with snowflakes!
