Today on the blog Steph Devlin will be sharing a few of her beautiful projects, showing fun ways to work with Prima's patterned papers and Shabby chic resins
............................................................................
Hi friends, Steph Devlin here, just wanting to share some projects that I have been working on using the new releases from Prima Marketing.
I created this layout for the most recent CHA, using the beautiful Pixie Glen Line, and custom coloring the large Fleur De Lys flowers with Glimmermist. I sprayed these delicate flowers with Chalkboard Mists, because I love the chalky shabby chic finish those colors give the flowers.
This second layout shows the diversity of the Printery Patterned Papers and how with a little bit of color, black can showcase beautifully any color or B&W photographs that you have. You will find that if you use a color frame, the colors within will just seem to merge and flow onto the photo mat whereas a black frame will contain the image so it doesn't allow the eye to wander. Black also seems to that provides perfect base to showcase a pop of color - as you can see from the hybrid flowers just under the balloon.
For this third project I just grabbed a shabby chic teapot that I have have been wanting to alter for while. (It goes perfectly with the tea & cup project I altered last month). I love finding shabby chic household items and altering them with Prima's beautiful flowers, trinkets, pearls and other findings. The stunning crown trinket was just perfect for the lid, and just seem to finish off the project.
I love playing with shapes, and the hexagon is such a interesting shape to create with. Shapes are so visually stunning grouped together in multiple numbers, and the Pixie Glen soft colors and rose images seem to balance the harshness of the lines that make up the shape of the hexagon.
I hope you have enjoyed this post as much as I loved making these projects for you - Steph xo

Today on the blog Stacy Cohen will be sharing stylish Halloween projects, using Prima's newest Halloween Vines and spooky Bat embellishments. ................................................................................................................................................... Hi everyone! Stacy Cohen here. Halloween is just a few days away, so I wanted to share a couple spooky projects I created. First up is a mask I made using some of Prima’s new Halloween goodies. A black glitter-coated mask will provide for the perfect disguise when the ghosts and goblinscome a-calling.
Supplies used:
No witch would be properly dressed without a pair of shoes like these:
I made these using a paper shoe template I created a while back. You can find the tutorial and link to the template on my blog here: Stacy Cohen’s shoe template
I altered the template slightly to make these shoes a bit pointier . . . perfectly fit for a witch!
Supplies used:
I’ll leave you with one not-so-spooky project. Here’s a layout I made using a mix of products from different collections:
Have a wonderful day!!

Join us for a fairytale adventure Prima-style all created by our talented designer: Heidi Kelley!
...................................................................................
Hi friends! It's that time of year again... everywhere that I look I see enchanting colors and little ones getting caught up in the magic within the air.
Around my house, I have had 10 years of girlish, whimsy each Halloween and I think that those times are beginning to end. (My girls are beginning to enter their tweens and soon my boys will begin their dressing up journey! I am guessing that the days of butterflies, fairies, and princesses will be over, lol.) So when my youngest daughter asked me to make her into the most "beautiful of all fairies" for this year's festivities, I was extremely excited!
Creating this costume could not have been easier, especially when it came to making her crown and adorning her skirt with Prima bling and blossoms!
The combination of colors that I put into making her skirt just beckoned to be paired with some of the new Prima flowers, especially the Le Coque "Windsor" flowers. I will admit to now wanting one of these crowns for myself! (I might look a tad silly, however, preggo and all, dressed up like her!)
And, of course, with a fanchy, schmancy, fairy crown - one must have the embellishments fall onto her skirt as well!
Supplies used to create her skirt:
The Prima flowers from the latest release, simply put, made this fairy costume magical... see how she twinkles?
A quick tip though, should you find yourself in the presence of something so adorable - you had better snap the pictures quick because this little fairy was off running, heading back to whatever enchanted place she came from...
Wishing you all a magical, beautiful, month. And as your tiny, little, marvels, princesses, and knights, dazzle and delight while they trick or treat all over the world, don't forget to take photographs! Oh, how this time of year can reveal their stunning personalities! ~~Heidi

Today our very own Birthday Girl brings us a few amazing party-themed projects.
Let's all wish Trina a very Happy Birthday!!
....................................................................................
With it being someone's special day today **wink, wink** I decided to create a few birthday-themed projects for my Prima post this month.
Birthdays are extremely special to me. The celebration of a person for that day, the whole day, isn't much each year is it? And to celebrate properly doesn't take much time or, necessarily, money. What it does mean is thought. So here are a few ideas that might show how easy it is to make someone's day extra special.
First a hand-made card.
My sister also has her birthday in October, so I couldn't help but make something special for her. Here are a couple of close-ups.
I also like to try and wrap gifts in a special way. Although I often run out of time (don't we all?) Here are three quick and easy gift wrap ideas that don't take a lot of time....
These are only little boxes...so perfect for a 'tiny' something. I'm thinking some sweets, a piece of jewelery, a gift voucher, etc.
Let me tell you how I made them.
This first one is super easy, but may need some drying time.
It will take a whole sheet of patterned paper to create.
1. The first thing I did was to cut the manufacturer strip off.
2. Then I ran the whole piece of PP under my kitchen tap. EEeeeeeek. Yes, I really did!
3. Once it was wet through, I molded it around a small bowl tying a piece of string or ribbon around the middle to form a lovely flourish of paper at the top. Don't worry if it rips a little, you can either embellish over the top, or make this part of the design.
4. Once it is dry, pop your gift inside, retie it and embellish.
Number 2:
This little box is made from a template I designed myself.
The measurements are on the above template. So you can measure it all out once, then put aside to use over and over again.
NOTE: I haven't put the measurements for the bottom of the gift box on the template in case you want to make yours wider than mine. However, the sides of this wee box are 4cm wide.
To cut the handle holes, I drew one piece on one side of the box, then folded the whole box up, joined the front and back together, then cut both handles out at once.
NOTE: the sides of the box are not square, but pushed in together.
Once everything is folded, cut and glued, you can decorate.
Gift Box number three was made using a die.
After gluing it together, I adhered a Prima ribbon around the top 1/3, then embellished with butterflies cut from Prima PP and a Martha Stewart Punch (they were also embellished with glitter glue and beads). Easy peasy.
NOTE: to make it easier to open, I punched a half circle into the middle of the top of the front of the box.
Supplies used for these projects:
Finally I created a LO about birthdays as a present to myself. I have gone back to ensuring there is plenty of journaling on my LO's recently as I just love looking back at the stories of our family. This one has a huge amount of journaling so I made it the feature.
I've used a mix of new and old product on this page (and, in fact, on all my projects.) I just adore how Prima's products can be mixed and matched like this.
Supplies:
Thanks so much for joining me today. Over at my blog, I'm doing a wee giveway - it's a great day for presents! So please feel free to come on over and join in the fun right here.

Marie-Nicolas Alliot shows us how she used Prima packaging for inspiration behind her amazing Fall Mini-Album! Let's jump right in:
Today, I want to show you how to recycle a package from Donna Downey iron-ons. I use them for binding my mini album. Do you want to see?
Choose four papers from the new Prima releases. Trace the outline of the packaging with a pen on the four papers and cut them out.
Cut four papers 3.75 x 12 inches and fold them in the middle. Fold the labels in the middle too.
Bind the two pages together with the label page on top as shown. Round the corners of the long papers.
Decorate your pages and after: glue pages back to back.
EX: Pages 1 and 2 are shown above. Glue the back of page 1 (on left) to the cover and glue page 2 to the back of page 3. The back of page 4 will be glued to the back of page 5. etc.
For the spine: Cover the book covers with a paper of 3.75 x 2 inches. Bend at the locations of the arrows. Add glue on the back.
Cut the last label in the middle and glue it on the album.
Finish decorating!
Here is the finished album!

Hi everyone, I have a few layouts to share with you today, featuring the new collections. ~Stacey
The first one is using the very adorable Pixie Glen collection. This line is perfect for my baby boy! In this layout, I have created a garden effect around my photo. I have used the Resin Pillars as a base with my vines entwined around them. I love that in this collection there are lots of lovely rose clusters that can be cut out, I have adhered these with foam tape around my photo to add to the layers.
I gave my little Vintage Trinket a coat of Gesso to add to the shabby feel of the layout.

My second layout is also using the Pixie Glen collection. I have masked and painted my background with an aqua to make the layout pop. I just had to add in the cute birds nest to represent my 3 boys with the 3 tiny eggs.

My last layout that I am sharing today is using the Alla Prima collection. There is something about this collection that just screams "beachy" to me. The colours are just so fresh. To get the painted effect in the background I started by scraping some Gesso, without allowing it to dry I then flicked on some alcohol ink. I always love to use a vine as my base for my flower clusters. They are a great starting point and I always cut them up and use in pieces.
?
I did a little bit of fussy cutting to add to the flower cluster down the middle of the page.
