Our crystals, flowers and lace are just three items that will add instant beauty to your projects AND set your cards above all others!
How about showing off a HUGE selection of gorgeous cards made by our talented gals just for YOU. We hope they are a great source of inspiration!
..................................................................................................................................................
Daniela Dobson is our queen card maker so she has a lot of stunning beauties today! Just look at how sweet her "Miss you" card is above.
Tying a Vintage Trinket heart on to the card front is the perfect finish to bump your card into the amazing category!
.............................................................................................................................................
Daniela also created this pastel beauty that features patterned Prima flowers and a gorgeous Pebble in the center!
A peek of Prima lace adds the perfect touch to any card.
.............................................................................................................................................
Stacy Cohen has a flair for working with our Back Stage (formerly Moulin Rouge) papers as shown on this jaw-dropping piece. After adding cut paper pieces and crystals, Stacy finishes the card off with a bold ribbon and floral centerpiece.
Stacy also created this amazing shaped card using new Prima crocheted flowers. What a gorgeous touch they add to the lovely project!
.........................................................................................................................................
Trina McClune brings us a heart-felt card filled with lovely new Prima crystals! The paper pieces, cut hearts and flowers are all brought together in perfect harmony with a pink crystal swirl drawing your eye across the card and adding lots of fun sparkle to the piece.
Trina also created this paper-layered piece! Layer your papers diagonally for a lovely ruffled effect. Add a stamped bird image and a mini floral swag for stunning results.
Trina created a luscious card holder using Shabby Chic and Botanical papers, a touch of tender lace and lovely patterned flowers.
What a great gift holder this makes for that special someone!
.....................................................................................................................................................
Daniela Dobson closes us out with two more very special cards! This one focuses on one sparkly, layered beauty of a flower which is surrounded with crystals and a die-cut journaling card. Fast, sweet and perfect for any occassion!

Go grab your mists, chalks, inks or sprays and get your mask on!
Our masks make such a huge impact on projects with very little effort! And the results are stunning! Prima has a wide variety of images that you can choose from, including borders, frames and background designs...
Today, we are sharing a couple of samples using the background masks from some of our Design Team members. One has a softer, more subtle effect that enhances the overall design, while the other has been designed using a bold color scheme that adds depth and texture.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Julie Fei-Fan Balzer used a 12x12 mask, over white cardstock for the background of this layout. She used a mix of colorwash sprays over the image, to create a bold color scheme. The variety of colors added a lot of depth and texture to the overall look of this layout. Simply gorgeous!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Anabelle O'Malley created this beautiful layout, using a fun color combination and background mask to highlight her photo from CHA. She lightly misted over the mask for a softer look that enhances the design of her layout. The further you spray from your page, the lighter the color will be, allowing you to control the boldness of the masked image.
We just love how Anabelle used the crystal leaves over the masked image! They work perfectly together!

Today, we are sharing a gorgeous project made by Ingvild Bolme...
She altered a glass bottle with Prima products, turning it into a stunning piece of art, with a secret message inside....
..........................................................................................................................................................
Notice the intricate details and ornate embellishments, that make this project truly unique. A treasure worth displaying anywhere in your home...
Ingvild carefully stamped the outside of the bottle, using our clear background stamp, Documentary. Then, she embossed the image, bringing out the details of the stamp. The embossing effect gives the bottle a vintage/rustic look...
The main embellishment on the front of the bottle, was created using found objects and a Prima chipboard journaling piece. We love how the teal compliments all of the warm brown hues, that surround it.
The beaded vine was carefully wrapped around the outside of the bottle and notice some of the beads were colored to match the color scheme of the project. A nice little extra added touch! You can also see the message on the inside of the bottle, with a little Vintage Trinket birdcage dangling just below.
The top of the bottle is adorned with dangling accents, including a custom tag, that invites anyone to open it. The chain embellishment is the perfect addition to the tag.

AT CHA we introduced new Candy Gems and Cinderella Gems and the buyers LOVED them!
Candy Gems:
Each Candy Gem spray has gorgeous sheer "candies" attached to wire to make them extra versatile on your projects. The gems are multi-faceted to catch light, but remain flat so they won't add extra bulk to a page. Item shown above: 549381
Item shown above: 549374
These candy gems are a bit fuller making them perfect for altered projects! Just look at the gorgeous colors offered on each bouquet!
Item shown above: 549312
Today we have a very special project to share with you using our brand new product! We think you will love them too!
Janine Koczwara created this STUNNING layout using new Candy Gems and loads of other beautiful Prima products. See how much texture and color the gems add? They really stand out!
See how beautiful they are?
Products Used:

Cinderella Gems:
These gorgeous beauties have sheer flowers, leaves, and colored beads carefully placed on a sprawling, bendable vine. The whole cluster, available in the hottest colors, is longer than a Candy Gem so they are perfect for so many projects!
Item shown above: 549183
Janine also did a fabulous project showcasing the Cinderella Gems!
Cinderella Gems will add that perfect touch to your project. Just look at the fabulous color, unique dimension and feminine style they contribute!

Prima's Product Picks for March are filled with lots of lucky leprechaun greens! We never knew green could look so GOOD!
Just look at these gorgeous NEW products:
Want to win some of these? Get Lucky with Prima this month! Now you have TWO chances to win some of these Prima products.
..........................................................................................................................................
Our talented gals have also created some A M A Z I N G projects!
Nothing says "spring is ALMOST here" more than a new wreath for your home! Create one easily by following Karola Witczak's ingenious design using shredded papers and new Prima flowers and crystals. This design is so versatile that it can be made into a card too.
.........................................................................................................................................
Trina McClune uses touches of green to add softs bursts of color and design to her page. The crystal border perfectly accents the lovely photos, while a few closters of green flowers pull the page together beautifully.
..............................................................................................................................................
Janine Koczwara rocks out our packaging on this Green Concepts layout! Kraft and green Prima packaging can be found on the circles and the photo mat. Janine even used part of a Prima box for the texture-filled cardboard element. Reduce, reuse, recycle!
..................................................................................................................................................
Stacy Cohen brings us a sweet baby card with touches of our monthly picks! The shaped journaling card is a wonderful base for any card project. Just add some Jack and Jill paper cut-outs and a few touches of Prima lace for a wonderful card that anyone will love to receive!
.............................................................................................................................................
Alyssa McGrew brings in loads of earthy-colored goodness on her fabulous layout. Brown is the perfect complimentary color when you are using a lot of green. And Alyssa's use of circles creates a perfect visual triangle which is very pleasing to the eye.
..............................................................................................................................................
Daniela Dobson pulls out all stops on this fantastic green-filled card! She even stamped a few designs with green ink on the background paper to pull the whole LOVELY design together. Genius!
...........................................................................................................................................................
Jamie Dougherty uses a beautiful mix of creams and greens to create this stunning page! A great way to create a gorgeous focal point is to build a cluster of elements, instead of spreading them out. Jamie does this perfectly and the results are just Prima perfect.
........................................................................................................................................................
Birgit Koopsen uses a white base on her adorable page, while adding lots of fun green elements on top of her whimsical stamped design. Tip: This is a great way to use your stamps to create a backdrop for your photos!
...............................................................................................................................................
Karola Witczak also created a very green layout for us this month. Using a beautiful mix of flowers, Karola designs an absolutely beautiful page that is perfect for framing.
........................................................................................................................................................
Trina McClune finishes us off with a lace-covered card! After weaving lace in and out on the cardstock Trina then added a spray of beautiful flowers. Finish off the design with a few sweet fluttering butterflies punched out of green Prima packaging!

Designer Day: Come Meet Jamie Dougherty!
My children are my rock! They keep me busy but they are the joys of my life. They are a true source of inspiration. So thankful for them.
I grew up and now raise our family here in Ramona, CA. Ramona is know as the "Valley of the Sun". It's a small town east of San Diego. Even though we live in the country, we are still in driving distance to everything. We can make a day trip to the beach, the desert, or the mountains with in an half an hour drive.
I love the history of where I grew up. It is one of the first towns settled in Southern CA during the gold rush. Many of the main buildings still stand today with the help of our community.
These are pictures I took while on the Colorado River. The perfect sunset.
I hope you enjoyed learning more about me and getting to know more about the way I look at art. Remember to take the time to look around, inspiration is everywhere. Hugs, Jamie

Designer Day: Come Meet Julie Fei-Fan Balzer!
Hi! My name is Julie Fei-Fan Balzer and I live in New York City – Times Square to be exact!
(Sorry for the blurry photo, but that's NYC -- always in motion!)
On my street (pictured above) there are two Broadway theatres, Roseland (a famous nightclub/dance hall), lots of restaurants -- including two that specialize in Russian food and homemade vodka, a hotel, four apartment buildings, a theatrical scene shop, a garage, a bank, a large office building, and a defunct subway stop.
This is the view, at night, from the other end of my street looking down Broadway:
If you were to turn around you'd see the Ed Sullivan theatre where David Letterman records his TV show plus lots more theatres and restaurants and enormous office buildings!
My husband and I have been married for four years...
...and together we live in a two-bedroom apartment in the sky (okay, it’s only the seventeenth floor). But this is our vertigo inducing view down to the street:
Bet you didn't know that street corners are actually round in NYC!
And the view from our terrace looking out towards the Hudson River on a particularly lovely sunset:
When we moved in to this apartment my sweet hubs told me to take the master bedroom as my craft room. What a nice guy, right?
(By the way: It never looks this neat. Most of the time it's full of piles and piles of stuff!)
And this is my best storage solution ever:
I hung a bunch of those grids from those cheap buildable wire cube things you get at Target and then all of my embellishments are grouped by category (journaling spots, border strips, etc.), hung on giant book rings, and then clipped to the grid wall. I can see what I've got and never have have to go hunting!
I'm not a native New Yorker. I grew up outside of Boston (and still root for the Red Sox and against the Yankees!) I moved to New York City to work in the theatre – I’m a theatrical director – and have directed plays all over New York for the past eleven years. But 2011 is a new beginning for me. I am happily transitioning into doing more and more art and craft work!
And, of course, I love teaching live online classes for Live with Prima every month!
As you can see, I like to paint, spray, and stitch whenever I can. I was shocked and delighted when Prima took a risk and made me and my off-beat style a part of this design team.
I have so enjoyed being a part of the Prima family for the past two years! I particularly love all the fun alterable products that Prima makes like this cool canvas camera bag:
Please visit my blog: Balzer Designs to see more colorful painty fun! I post ideas, projects, and tutorials daily and I have a new online course in mixed media stitch called It's Sew Easy starting at the end of this month!
Thanks for letting me share!

Have you seen all of the absolutely FUN masks Prima released at CHA?
We have 12x12 masks:
These masks are perfect for layouts, large canvas projects, as well as smaller projects too! Just use the portion of the mask needed to cover your project area.
Anabelle O'Malley uses a fun technique on her stunning layout! First spray mist over the 12x12 round mask. Then outline the pattern with Stickles for a dazzling effect!
The masked design pulls the whole layout together and adds a unique finish to the page.
Leena Loh also used a full-sized mask on this very tender layout! A soft spray of brown mist over the mask lends a wonderful masculine touch to the design.
Is this not absolutely precious?
...........................................................................................................................................
and 8x8 masks:
The 8x8 masks come in full-patterned styles, as well as gorgeous frame styles! 2 masks per pack
Alyssa McGrew uses an 8x8 mask to create a colorful background on her sweet page! Once allthe elements are added on top you can see the design peeking out to add a soft, subtle effect to the whole page.
Daniela Dobson sprayed mist over her mask on a separate piece of paper and then added it to her layout for a fun accent! This is a great technique to try if you don't want to mist the whole layout. (It also uses scrap pieces of paper up!)
.............................................................................................................................................
as well as 12 inch borders:
Add an artsy touch with a border mask as Julie Fei-Fan Balzer did on this fun page. Use paint to "stamp" the image on the side of your layout.
Feel free to layer designs for a really cool look!
See how gorgeous a little touch of masking can be? Alyssa also played off the masked design with a crystal lace border to frame her lovely photo!
Try this on your next project for a fun, fast layout design!
..............................................................................................................................................
and fun little shapes:
Iris Babao-Uy uses a delightful corner mask to pull her title together on this HAPPY layout! What a great idea for adding that certain special touch to your next project!
