A Friday Full of Wedding Bliss
We thought we would end the week with a group of beautiful projects by our talented design team. All of them perfect for those blissful memories and love filled occasions.
...........................................................................
Our first project was brought to us by Leslie Ashe. Leslie uses Prima products to create this beautiful frame, her pop of black make the colorful flowers stand out and makes for a stunning finished project.
This mixed media box was create by Juliana Montoya. She uses a white color palette that gives this box a romantic feel.
Supplies
Weddings are full of love and romance but they are also full of laughter and fond memories. Like this page created by Hege Lundquist. She shows us the fun side of a day of bliss.
Here is a bit from Hege about her page: This is a photo of my boyfriend who was best man at our best-friends wedding 2 years ago. Their daughter thought that he should smell the flowers she had picked :-) and he really did..haha.
I wanted to have full focus on the image so I toned down the colors in the layout so that the image popped out.
Supplies
This stunning creation was designed by Solange Marques. She brings bold color to her dreamy photo.

What is your biggest source of inspiration? My biggest source of inspiration is other artists. I go to art openings, museums, galleries, Pinterest, and blogs whenever I can! I love to see what other artists are creating and they inspire me to try new things! My students are also a huge inspiration! They discover new ways of doing things that I might not thought of. It's awesome to see other people making artwork that I taught them how to do but put their own twist on it!
If you could pick a dream location to teach this year what would it be?
If I could teach anywhere, I'd love to go to Europe or Australia! A beach location would be amazing too!

What is your biggest source of inspiration? My biggest source of inspiration is other artists (scrapper gal pals) that share the same passion! I get excited chatting about all the beautiful products, sharing fun new techniques and thoughts about what we can create! And then... my favorite scrappy magical moment happens! Feeling that creative sensation hit me - I just know how all those colors, beautiful papers, awe-mazing gorgeous flowers, ribbons, embellishments will all come together !! It makes my fingers get jumpy!! ta-hee! Yes, sharing our scrappers passion with each other - it's a Magical Prima Moment! {sounds a bit corny but true for me.. awww I LOVE IT!}
If you could pick a dream location to teach this year what would it be? If I could pick a dream location to teach this year it would be located at a fun craft store with a gorgeous view of the crashing waves on a beach somewhere.. anywhere.. and the store filled with happy scrappers, lots of laughter, amazing scrapping supplies, snacks, and plenty of TIME! :)

If you could pick a dream location to teach this year what would it
be? It would be New Zealand, and let me cheat and say South America too :)
Do you have a favorite color? I can't pick one- all colors are my friends! Right now I spent lots of time with my friends orange, yellow and purple :)

What is your favorite snack while scrapbooking? I love to chew on bubble gum or red licorice.

Do you have a favorite color?
Turquoise is my favourite color. I think that is why the Sun Kiss line was one of my favorites also.
If you could pick a dream location to teach this year what would it be?
My dream location to teach would be the Greek Islands. Hopefully I will get there one day.

What is your biggest source of inspiration?
Fashion, even though I am a jean and tee-shirt girl!
Tell us one thing we don't know about you!
I hate shopping for clothes!

Trina McClune: New Zealand

If you could pick a dream location to teach in this year what would it be? I would love to teach in the snow. Anywhere that it’s warm and cosy inside with snow falling outside. We could scrap for a couple of hours, then take a break to drink mulled wine and build snowmen. Then scrap some more. Divine.
Do I have a favourite colour? No. I don’t. I never have, even as a child. I love all colours. I get inspired by them. I drool over the pinks/reds/oranges and yellows found in sunrises and sunsets. The purple in a cloudy day. The blue and greens found in ever changing oceans. Seems I have a thing for nature too?! LOL. But where better do you find the most beautiful colours in the world?

What is your favorite snack while scrapbooking? I love to have a hot drink, Chai Latte, Coffee, Hot Chocolate. The flavour is less important than the feeling of a warm cup in my hands.
If you could pick a dream location to teach this year what would it be? Somewhere in Scandanavia, as I would dearly love to see the scenery and there are so many wonderful scrapbooking ladies in this area that I would love to meet.

Where is your dream place to teach? ANY place where I can stay just a little while afterwards to visit with the store owners, students and sightsee! I would love to teach in the Czech Republic (to see my grandparent's culture), or Africa or Ireland; or go back to Israel, Italy, or a million other places!
What is your biggest source of inspiration? New photos and new product really inspire me to start creating. I also love how almost everything around me can inspire in some way; from pinterest to online stores, to restaurant menus to billboards.
If you would like any of these talented educators to teach Prima-filled classes just leave a comment here on this post OR contact the gals on their private blogs!

June is the Month for Weddings...
Today we have some beautiful designs, by our brand new design team, to celebrate weddings.
We have a variety of projects ranging from layouts to gifts and even cards.
..............................................................................
Our first project is by Larissa Albernaz. Larissa uses pieces of the enchanting Fairy Belle collection to create this stunning page. She gives her photo a beautiful frame of embellishments.
Here is a little from Larissa about her page... "For this special blog post, I decided to create a layout to portray one of the happiest days of my life - the day of my wedding! I wanted my photo to stand out and that´s why I decided to work with the contrast. I chose a black paper from the 12X12 Script paper pack as my background and added some layers of white and grey papers to create the page´s design with the help of some Prima´s Notecards. After that, I decorated everything with the most gorgeous blooms from Prima"
Supplies
Our next project was designed by another of our new designers, Lea Lawson. Her eye for detail comes out in this Romantique card. This would make for a perfect gift to a bride and groom.
Lea uses the 6x6 Romantique paper line to make her card. She adds neutral tones for dimension and and subtle accents. She uses a Shabby Chic Resin to highlight her lovely sentiment.
Supplies
For our last wedding project we have one of our returning designers, Heidi Kelley. Heidi created this beautiful masterpiece for her soon to be sister-in-law. Heidi uses her mixed-media skills to design her this lovely gift box.
Here is what gave Heidi the idea to put together this amazing piece..."I am getting a new sister in September, and I thought that today's feature was a perfect time to create her an altered gift box. (That is, unless she sees this post before she receive the box... lol.) Isn't she gorgeous? I wanted to dress her up, and living states away from her - the only way I can do that right now - is by creating a mixed media piece. :)"

Announcing Prima's 2012-2013 Design Team!
The last month has been an absolutely wonderful experience as we pored over entries for our latest Design Team call. Never have we seen so many beautiful projects. The layouts, cards, tags, altered, and mixed media projects simply overwhelmed us. We spent countless hours going through each entry, looking at blogs, re-looking at entries, and blogs, and so on until we finally narrowed down the field.
That was the hardest job. Ever. We know we had one of the most talented group of entrants! Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for your time, your energy, your creativity, and the love that you invested into your entries. We appreciate each one of you! If we could have the biggest DT in the world we would, but, since we cannot, we have narrowed the field to this amazing group of designers and guest designers.
Please join us in welcoming the 2012-2013 Prima Design Team and our Guest Designers!

Today we have a stunning mixed media project designed by Anna Dabrowska. She has created this canvas by using Prima embellishments and a blend of art mediums.
Here a little bit from Anna about her work of art: "Inviting The Wind"
My biggest love is mixed-media collage - rich in texture and
details... you can actually say I'm obsessed with creating
multilayered backgrounds and crazy compositions from tiny treasures, flowers and junk coexisting in harmony, giving each other new meanings and giving people fun of finding new and new elements in the collage. What can be more inspiring than Pirma embellishments? Amazing range of flowers, trinkets and gems simply blows my mind, making me play with them, finding new shapes, materials and textures, making them work together with my flea market findings or... computer parts just like I
did here. Flowers and memory chips, gems and usb plugs, vines and metal findings... you can find this all on this mixed media collage! But texture and detail is not enough: my other addiction is color: I used tons of acrylics, Ranger Dylusions and gesso together with LuminArte pigments and Silks to get this effect. What can be more fun? All kinds of color mediums work just perfectly with Prima - try by yourselves and have a wonderful time experimenting!

It's Been A Wonderful Ride Together!
It's that time of the year to say:
THANK YOU!
to our amazing Design Team. After working together on a daily basis for a whole year we have become far more than just co-designers.
This amazingly talented group of gals made the whole year smooth sailing for me as a coordinator. Not only were they super easy to work with (while putting up with me), but they encouraged one another, helped one another, and provided priceless friendship to one another. The camaraderie on the team is simply a wonderful blessing.
Each one of these talented designers constantly brought fresh designs, and the most creative ideas, to share with you. It's not an exaggeration to say that each gal has a special place in my heart!
And a special shout out to a few of my girls who are leaving after fulfilling two years on the team. These gals stepped up to the plate and became amazing mentors to the new gals when the team first started last June. They are talented beyond measure, professional in all their ways, and are going to go places in this industry!
As a special treat I want to share one of my favorite projects from each Prima designer from the last year. (It was a tough job choosing just one!) I ? you girls! ~~ Sharon

Today we would like to share with you an amazing project designed by the artistic Heidi Kelley. Heidi has also put a video together to show you how to recreate her stunning page! How great is that?
We hope this helps make your weekend a creative one!

I love grunge, and I suppose that is no surprise based on the projects that I am forever turning out! One of the things that I adore about Prima is that even though it is beautiful, and girly with its delicate details - it is very easy to turn masculine with its prints, and boyish, by grunging it up!! This video today is all about creating this layout... from start to finish, totally boy, totally grungy, totally Prima.

Scraplift a Little Inspiration
Happy Friday! Today is our last day of the design team's scraplifts for the month. This has been a fun addition to our blog and we hope you've enjoyed it as well. Scraplifting can give you that boost of inspiration and creativity.
...............................................................................
This first stunning layout by Karola Witczak has inspired Hege Lundquist's scraplift for today.
Here is what Hege found creative about Karola's work:
I've had the honor of scraplifting Karola! I've been a great admirer of her for a long time. I chose this slightly different layout with earth colors and cool blue. I chose to focus on how she has built up the layout and the location of all her items.
I have used a different color scale than her when I'm really in love with the bright and pastel ones.
I have really enjoyed this and will probably try even more to
scraplift Karola another time and use her as inspiration later. Thank
you so much, Karola :-)

Our next lift was inspired by this layout by Stacy Cohen. Stacy inspired Maiko Kosugi to create a fresh colorful page.
Here is Maiko's insight on Stacy's beautiful work:
I had the honor of scrap lifting from the very talented Stacy Cohen!
I adore Stacy's color sense filled with her wonderful ideas. It was so difficult to choose which layout to scrap lift since all her layouts are just gorgeous,
but chose this one after seeing Stacy's gallery over and over again!
I followed Stacy's sketch for my layout and decided to make mine using the Sun Kiss Collection.
I love the delicate designs of Stacy's work, and it is a true inspiration where the part Stacy cut paper like waves! I really enjoyed it too!
Also I added some touches of my style by adding a large flower and Vine. I really wanted to add handmade doilies like Stacy did, but since I am not good at it, I decided to add die cut doily to my page. lol
Moreover, I am using the mulberry paper instead of gauze.
And finally, I added modeling paste to some places in order to make the whole color tone more settled down.
Thank you so much Stacy for this wonderful inspiration I really enjoyed it very much!!!

Sharon Laakkonen designed this colorful scrapbook page that inspired Heidi Kelley on her scraplift page.
Heidi shares what inspired her about Sharon's page:
I scraplifted this layout of Sharon's for a few reasons! First, I loved the title - something about it struck a chord with me, so I played off of it - just changing it a bit. Secondly, I loved that she used a cluster of three photos. Inspired by this, I tweaked it a bit to feature one larger photo, and stuck a couple smaller photos behind them too to make it look like a pile of pics. I used the same paper line, Doodle Deux, but mimicked her design elements instead of using the same ones. I thought it would be fun to use gesso to take the place of the wide yellow strip in the middle of her page, and then I clustered various cuts from the paper as well. :) Of course, I still had to add my art mediums as well, making the layout my own!
