Our new geometric crystals are perfect for circling a title.

Jamie chose a softer palette from this line for her page. She accented the adorable photo with flowers, and canvas resist pieces that she custom-colored to match her layout. (See the cute packaging tucked in behind her photo?)

Hege chose to cut a few of our designs from the paper line to accent her wonderful page! Setting everything on a LadyBird paper creates a fabulous border filled with color and pattern to pull the design together.
A few flowers clustered together finish the design off with a little garden right there on your page.

Who loves stamping? Who has never tried stamping? Raise your hand!
You know Prima makes a wide variety of stamps? That's right. We have clear stamps, cling stamps, washi tape wood stamps, doll stamps, & large foam stamps. There's literally something for EVERYONE!
Hopefully today's post will encourage those of you who have never tried stamping to go grab a Prima stamp and have some fun with it; while those of you who are stamp addicts may pick up a new technique or idea!
So let's see what our designers have for us today.
......................................................................................................................................
Mixed Media Tags
by Educator Janine Koczwara
Janine created these vibrant and fun Mixed Media tags with multiple stamping techniques. She lay down her base color on her tags using the new Ranger Distress Paints; one directly onto the tag and rubbed in, one marbled on a craft mat (and then dipping the tag into the paint); and one by applying blotches of paint and misting for dripping effects.
Once dry she stamped with various Prima stamps; sometimes with black ink, sometimes using the distress paints for a softer effect. She used a combination of “rolling” stamping techniques without using a block, as well as the standard way of mounting your stamp on a block first.
The rolling technique allows for a more random stamped image, perfect for mixed media projects. She finished off her tags with Hello Pastel Flowers and SIIC swirls.
TIP: to "roll" your stamps just pick up the clear stamps in your hand, add ink, and curl the stamp outward slightly so parts of the image make contact with the paper. This will give a fabulous broken edge to your stamped image and eliminate harsh edges.

Stamped Layout
by Designer Anna Dabrowska (Finn)
Finn layers different stamp images to create a gorgeous grunge look on her projects. If you look carefully you will notice that she always uses themto create focal points around her photos...naturally drawing your eye to the picture and across the project.
The stamped images do not have to be clear or bold...just use a soft black ink (Prima Chalk Edger) and use multiple stamps on top of one another to recreate this look.
By using just a portion of the stamp in some areas you can add a distressed, grunge look without getting all messy!

Keep Faith Layout
by Leslie Ashe
It's always fun to see our team create wonderful masuline pages! Prima has A LOT of products perfect for any boyish project you want to make! Leslie used a mix of our new papers (including our exclusive 6x6 patterns) on this handsome project!
Adding a washi tape pattern with white chalk ink adds a graffiti effect to the design...perfectly complimenting the metals.
Leslie also added some of our new geometric-shaped crystals and Tiny Junkyard Findings!
...................................................................................................................
Just A Kiss Layout
by Designer Larissa Albernaz
Use our clear stamps for a grungy border like Larissa did on this stunning page! Larissa stamped multiple times BEFORE re-inking to create the distressed look above.
Don't throw away your clear Prima packages. Add metal pieces on top of them for a REALLY cool mixed-media effect!
Finish your edgy project off with one of our new zipped flowers and metal clock pieces!
..............................................................................................................
Doll Tags
by designer Juliana Montoya
So what do you think? Are you itching to stamp now? Let us know which new stamps are your favorite! We would LOVE to hear from you.

How Many Ways Can You Use a Stencil?
Let's see how many ways you can use one of Prima's NEW stencils!
All of our new stencils are available in 6x6 (shown) and 12x12!
............................................................................................................
We also have a boutique line of art stencils by Donna Downey for this release:
These six gorgeous designs are also available in 6x6 & 12x12!
.........................................................................................................................................
One of our signature collections by Finn, Sunrise, Sunset has stencils too!
960179 is available in 12x12 also!
...................................................................................................................................
So let's get started with a few stencil ideas for you!
Idea 1. Trace Around The Design
by Designer Leslie AsheSuch a simple, yet fun idea...just trace around the stencil design with a pen...or a colored pencil for a whimsical accent on your page!
Tip: Try this when your page is just missing something...or an area seems too bare. If you use pencil make sure you seal the design so it doesn't smudge. Try SpectraFix for NO indoor fumes.
.................................................................................................................................
Ideas 2, 3, 4: Use with PanPastels, Inks, and Resin Sand
by Designer Solange Marques
Solange first used stencil 922382 with PanPastels and Distress Ink (blue and green). Next she applied a mix of resin sand and acrylic gesso on the chevron art stencil to get that incredible texture you can almost touch!
Stencils can add so much color, design and texture to any project!
Tip: Use multiple stencil with multiple mediums for maximum impact on your projects.
..............................................................................................................................
Idea 5. Use with Gesso
by Designer Brit Sviggum
Brit added gesso over the stencil with an old credit card (or hotel room key) for a nice even application.
She applied it straight on the Prima paper. After it dried she added her photo and embellies to create a wonderful playful feel.
Tip: This stencil is one of those designs that can be used for any theme! Make sure you wash your stencil quickly so the gesso does not dry.
..................................................................................................
Ideas 7 & 8: Use with Chalk Edgers and Paints
by Educator Jamie Dougherty
Use a variety of different paints and mediums to build dimension on your page with stencils. A few different stencil designs, in complimentary colors, can really make a page pop.
Tip: You don't have to use the whole stencil on your page. Just add accents, like Jamie did here, to create a visual triangle.
Tip 2: Pick a bright color that will pop off the page when adding bits and pieces from a stencil!
Prima Supplies:
......................................................................................
Idea 9. Use with Fiber Paste
by Designer Felicity Wilson
Any kind of paste can be used with our stencils...since they are thick they hold up to any medium and multiple washes. Felicity chose a light fiber paste for her design on this page. The look is not as clean & defined as gesso, since it has fibers in it, but it is great for a boy's page!
Tip: Experiment with ANY art medium you have in your scrap supplies! You will be amazed at how many work well with our stencils!

Prima Products:
.....................................................................................................
We know there are literally hundreds of ways to use stencils! Leave a comment with your favorite way to use Prima stencils on your scrapbook projects and we will pick a lucky person to win a free stencil or two from our releases on Friday!

Let's Welcome Guest Designer: Keren Tamir
Guest Designer: Keren Tamir
Location: Canada
Keren caught our eye with her design team submission filled with beautiful, feminine projects! She is an avid particpator in our monthly contests and on our social medias. We love to see what Keren comes with as every single project is a total knock-out!
We hope you enjoy getting to know Keren and seeing a bit of her work!
"My name is Keren Tamir and I'm 38 years old. I am a wife to a wonderful husband who is very supportive of my scrapbooking art, and a mother of two amazing kids; a 11 year old boy and a 6 year old girl. I've been scrapbooking for 10 years and I mainly scrapbook about my family.
My style is a
combination of shabby chic softness and mixed media layering. I use
lots of flowers and vines in my projects along with lots pastes and
mists. My style is always evolving and that’s one of the things I love
about this art. I've been experimenting with different mediums and
techniques over the past couple of years until I found the perfect style
for me and it has been very rewarding.
One of
the main reasons I started scrapbooking was to preserve memories and
photos for my children. However, now I enjoy another aspect of
scrapbooking. I love the artistic outlet and soul fulfillment that it
gives me. I love to create and I’m passionate about what I do.
I
was so happy when I was chosen to be a Guest Designer for Prima. I love
all the Prima products and I use them in almost all my projects. I'm so
excited to showcase my work on the Prima blog this month. It is an
honor and a pleasure!!
I hope you enjoy my creations as much as I enjoyed creating them!!
May Love fullfill every moment of your life and may your heart be filled with peace and laughter." ~Keren

that I almost couldn't pick just one!!! But, I did, and this one sent my
creativity into overdrive with it's gorgeous hues, and the scene up at the top
of the ocean. I found a picture to match and, knowing it was a beachy
one, I knew exactly where this layout would take me".
Stacey's Pin Spin:
Stacey did a fabulous job of visualizing a layout based on the photo and color palette from her pin!
Using paint, stencils, and flowers to pull in the beachy feel, Stacey topped everything off with a few seashells and Prima metal pieces.

Prima's antique keys are wonderfully displayed on this layout. We love how Céline layered them with our wood banners!

This month's sketch by Marie-Nicolas Alliot is simply divine! There are so many amazing elements to play around with:
the doily,
large title,
wavy pieces on the top & bottom,
along with the floral accents on each side.
We want YOU to join in the fun! Send your Prima-based project (based on this BAP) to sharon@primamarketinginc.com by February 28th for a chance to win a Prima Prize! Please put "February BAP" in your subject line. GOOD LUCK! Open to all countries.
You know our teams had a blast with this sketch! (And we have a special giest designer this month who will be joining in!)
Free
by February's Guest Designer, Keren Tamir
Keren used our Firefly range to create this stunning beauty! Even with all of the layers Keren added she still left lots of "white space", just like the BAP displayed.
Amazing and simply gorgeous, Keren! Thank you for joining in on our contests this month!

Want to see pure beauty? Look at Gerry's pages. She loves to fussy-cut and layer to make her pages all frame-worthy! And Prima's papers and embellies are the natural choice!

Remembering
by Designer Juliana Montoya
Juliana and shabby chic go hand-in-hand! The Lyric Collection is one of Juliana's favorite collections making it a natural choice for creating this lovely piece.
The roses and musical pieces are made for cutting and layering, while the words can be cut and popped off the page like she did on this close-up! So sweet!

Friends
by Designer Lene Bjornerud
Bright, clean, fun! Those words all describe Lene's page! Even with lots of white space, Lene really made her papers, embellies and photo pop.
Once again we see a few wood clips used to add dimension and interest on a layout! Lene really made this whole page extra special with her embellishment choices.

Cherished
by Designer Steph Devlin
Steph also used the Lifetime collection; with her own beautiful spin on it! Flowers and swirls and layered papers all add up to a page that is soft and sweet and so gorgeous to look at!
We love how Steph uses paper as an embellishment. Not only is it ready-to-cut-out on our Lifetim papers, but it is a very economical embblishment too. Top with just a few flowers for a gorgeous finished look.

Memories
by Brit Sviggum
Brit always brings a smile to our faces with her fun and whimsical creations! This one is no exception. Keeping everything centered, Brit added a gesso backdrop to pull everything together.
Prima papers and chipboard ground everything and allowing the photo to really shine!

Isn't this the sweetest PPP ever? Not only are the products luscious, the palette itself is wonderful! You could pick out just the softer tones for a feminine palette...or mix the richer tones in for a more masculine look.
We know some of these products just shipped out so use whatever Prima you have on hand to create your PPP project this month and submit to us by February 28th! Please put "February PPP" in your subject line. GOOD LUCK! Open to all countries.
