Q: What is your favorite technique?
A: I love techniques ... but the one I use the most ... would have to be Stitching.

Q: How long have you been scrapbooking?
A:
About 15 years ago or so.

Q: Where do you find inspiration?
A: I find inspiration in so many things, just in everyday life, music, fabric, Ads, nature, architecture, color etc. ...

I am

Q: If someone was to walk into  your scrap room/area right now, what would they find?
A: Organized chaos. I say this simply because I truly do love organization, so everything in my scrap room is in containers and labeled. It’s always all put away and cleaned up at the end of the day, … but when I’m in the middle of creating ... I tend to make quite a mess, pulling out everything to find just want I have in mind for the project I’m working on.

Q: What do you listen to or watch while scrapbooking?

A: Lots of times the TV is on ... but I’m just listening off and on, more than watching. Music … Dave Matthews, Roger Clyne, or Kenny Chesney right now.

Q: What time of day do you usually scrapbook and where?

A: Morning, afternoon or night ... whenever I feel inspired. I usually only create in my scrapbook room. It’s just easiest for me to be where all my supplies are right where I can find them easily. Like I said, I tend to take out a lot. lol

I am journaling

Q: What type of camera do you use?
A: Canon Rebel XTI and Olympus C-740 Ultra Zoom

Thanks for finishing out our Designer Spotlights Vicki! We enjoyed your answers to our questions and your beautiful layout!

Product Spotlight: Little Sprout Rubons

We just love our Little Sprout Rubons by Michelle Coleman. The designs are perfect for pages and projects, for and about little ones, but many of these rubons would work well for a variety of themes. Take a look at how some of our talented designers put them to use.

Just Too Sweet by Jolene Pienaar
Jolene used the giraffe and bird to accent this gorgeous layout of her with her girls.

New by Jolene Pienaar
Here Jolene has cut apart the text rubon, using it in several places on her layout for a really cool effect. She also used the "New" rubon as her title.

New Baby by Michelle Filo
Michelle beautifully used several of the rubons around her photo.

On Animal Watch by Staci Taylor
Staci shows us the versatility of these rubons by using some of the animals on this fun layout about a trip to the zoo. She rubbed the animals onto glossy photo paper, cut them out and added them to her layout.

Designer Spotlight: Staci Taylor

This week's designer in the spotlight is Staci Taylor (stacitaylor)!

Q: What is your favorite Fancy Pants product?
A: This is a tough once since I am truly in love with all things Fancy! I think I first fell in love with Fancy Pants because of their felt though, as it was so unique and so fun!

Q: How long have you been scrapbooking?
A: I've been scrapping for five years now, ever since I was pregnant with my son. Wow, that feels like so long ago!

Q: If someone was to walk into your scrap room/area right now, what would they find?
A: Well, they'd have to clear a pathway to get to my scrapdesk, lol. Being organized is definitely not one of my strengths, and it shows in my scraproom! My husband always gives me a hard time about its constant state of disaster, but since the room is all mine, I tell him that he's not allowed to complain ;-)

Q: What do you listen to or watch while scrapbooking?

A: I usually keep Pandora Radio on on my PC so that I can choose whatever stations of music I'm in the mood for.

Q: What time of day do you usually scrapbook and where?
A: I'm definitely a late night scrapper as I only get to scrap after the kids go to bed. I almost always scrap in my scraproom.

Q: What type of camera do you use?
A: I use my Canon Rebel, which is my third baby. My hubby gave it to me for the holidays 3 years ago, and it is the best gift he's ever given me!

Q: What are some other hobbies you enjoy?
A: I've been into crocheting since I was a kid, but it's taken a backseat to scrapping over the last few years!

Thanks Staci!

Product Spotlight: Rough & Tough Transparency

This week's spotlight is on the Boys Will Be Boys transparency from our Rough & Tough collection.

As you can see this colorful design can be used "as is" for a fun scrapbook page, or it can be cut apart and used to create your own unique design. That is just what two of our designers did for the layouts below.

This Little Boy by Nikki Bellish
Nikki used several parts of the transparency on this sweet layout of her son. She cut the dots and arrows into strips. Notice how some of the transparency strips are looped for extra dimension. Such a fun technique!

Boys Will Be Boys by Cindy Tobey
Cindy decided to show us how you can create more than one project using this transparency. For her first layout, Cindy cut the words out and stapled them to this fun layout about her son's silly antics. Cindy made sure the bold color of the transparent letters really popped by placing them over white cardstock.

Sweet by Cindy Tobey
Cindy also created this layout using some of the arrows and dots from the same transparency, and she still has some of the transparency left over to create at least one more project later, maybe more!

Designer Spotlight: Ronda Palazzari

This week we introduce you to Ronda Palazzari (HelpMeRonda), another one of our talented designers.

rondapalazzari_320

Q: What is your favorite Fancy Pants product?
A: Okay, in totally “Ronda” cheesy fashion, I love the variety of Fancy Pants products. It is hard to narrow it down to just one. I am a girl who likes change. But if you want me to narrow it down: the BAG-O-TAGS. Next might be Celebrate line or Ball trim.

Q: What is your favorite technique?
A: I am a technique-y kind of girl so I use lots of techniques. Right now my favorite technique might be sewing on a page, hand cutting paper and painting.

ronda_me_320

Q: How long have you been scrapbooking?
A: A long time … sticker sneezes, triangles in the corners, and lots of white space.

Q: What kind of scrapper would you consider yourself to be?
A: An artsy, lots of layers, one photo to multiple photo kind of gal.

Q: What are some goals you have for yourself, scrap-related or personal?
A: Personal goals … speaking fluent Italian, traveling more, and to make the perfect dessert. I have to make lots of different ones to find the perfect one.

Q: Where do you find inspiration?
A: Everywhere, a story to be told, a photograph, a home décor magazine, ads, clothing, other scrappers, colors I see.

Q: What is the most unique topic/photos that you have scrapbooked?
A: Me crying … a hard place to be, so much going on, and I happened to grab my camera, photographed it and then scrapped those emotions. I think for me that nothing is off limits. I am willing to scrap anything, especially emotions.

Q: If someone was to walk into your scrap room/area right now, what would they find?
A: A MESS. A big fat mess. Plus the most amazing shelves and table my husband built for me. I have a nice size room with lots of open shelving, too much stuff, and an awesome view of the rocky mountains.

Q: What do you listen to or watch while scrapbooking?
A: Music … lots and lots of music. Always have my tunes playing. Some of my favorites right now are Rise Against, Arcade Fire, Ingrid Michaelson, O.A.R, Muse. I have a couple different playlists that I rotate between.

Q: What time of day do you usually scrapbook and where?
A: It changes but mostly during the day while my kids are at school or at night when they go to bed. I have been known to be up late scrapping with my friends.

Q: What type of camera do you use?
A: Canon Digital Rebel XTI with a 50mm/1.4 fixed lens.

Q: What are some other hobbies you enjoy?
A: Photography, sewing, knitting & crocheting, general crafting, and reading.

Q: Share something quirky about yourself.
A: I am obsessed with rainbow order, even my clothes are arranged in that way.

Thanks Ronda!
