Product Spotlight: RoadShow Notebook Journal

Today's Product Spotlight is on the RoadShow Notebook Journal. This pretty little book contains 12 pages of creative, die cut pages, perfect for journaling and page accents. Tear them out for a worn edge, or trim for a clean look. You could even use the book as a mini album! There are 12 different designs, 1 sheet of each design.

Thanks by Cindy Tobey

Cindy created this layout for her mom, to go into an album that she gave her mom a few years ago and has been adding pages to ever since. Cindy used a round scalloped page to frame her main photo. She also used a scalloped rectangular page to create a pleated ruffle border. To make the ruffle border simply cut the journal page in half lengthwise and glue the two pieces together to form one long strip. Fold the strip creating pleats and add to your page with strong adhesive or machine stitching. Note: Cindy's page is 9" x 9"

Mom by Cindy Tobey

Cindy also created a card to give her mom that coordinates with the layout. She used a bracket page to cover the background of her card. She also used a round scalloped page to create the rosette. To make the rosette simply cut the round page into a spiral shape and work it into a layered rosette adding small folded pleats as you go.

Superstar by Cindy Tobey
Cindy used the transparency with the doodle-y drawings on it. It works great with these photos of her daughter playing basketball. To help the design on the transparency to coordinate with her photos, Cindy painted on the back of the transparency with two different shades are green.

Gift Bag by Anne Jo Lexander
Anne Jo came up with this idea in which she wrapped one of the transparencies around some patterned paper. She adhered the edges in back and stapled the bottom ... voila! ... a cute little gift bag!

Girls Rock! by Amy Peterman
Amy used both transparencies for this layout. She painted over the flocked transparency for a unique textured background and cut portions of the doodled transparency to use at the top and bottom of her layout, giving it some rock star glam!

You can use the notebook as is or tear out papers to use on your projects...or maybe even do a little of both! Take a look at the inspiration from our Design Team using the Artist Edition Notebook.

Make a Wish by Amy Peterman

Notice how Amy cleverly rolled up the bottom of the notebook papers and secured the roll to her layout with brads. What a fun idea!

Girl Power by Brenda Hurd

Brenda beautifully used some of the brighter notebook paper for her colorful layout.

Still Learning by Ronda Palazzari

Ronda used several of the notebook papers for her lovely page.

Cherished Memories by Kay Rogers

Kay took a photography class over the winter and had to print her pictures to share with her class and teacher for critique. She decided the Artist Edition Notebook would be the perfect place for these photos. See the cover of her notebook and a few of the pages below.

Best Daddy Ever by Cindy Tobey
Cindy used one of the printed transparencies to cover most of her background. The pretty floral pattern leads your eye right to her main photo. Cindy accented some of the flower centers with Rusted Sun Brads. Super cute!

Product Spotlight: RoadShow Cards & Strips

Today we are spotlighting our Cards & Strips papers from the RoadShow collection. These cards and strips full of lovely vintage designs, beautiful quotations and sentiments are perfect for so many paper craft projects. Take a look at what our Design Team created with these sweet treasures!

Chocolate Cards by Anne Jo Lexander
These sweet cards hold some equally sweet treats. Anne Jo cleverly used the Strips paper to decoratively wrap chocolate bars! She simply dressed them up with some decorative punched borders, felt flowers and buttons. Wouldn't you just love to be the recipient of one of these beauties?!

Sit Quietly by Ronda Palazzari
Ronda's gorgeous layout uses both the Cards and Strips. She created the lovely posy next to the top right corner of her photo with a Strip. She also cut out the sentiment "Sit Quietly Do Nothing" from a card for her page title.

Yawn by Jolene Pienaar
Jolene used the "Life is full of Beauty" card to perfectly compliment the sweet photo of her beautiful daughter on this lovely page!

4's Class by Staci Taylor
Staci used the Strips paper to add a beautiful border to the top and bottom of her photos. She also cut the tab that holds "2009-2010" from one of the Cards.

Pure Trouble by Staci Taylor
For this adorable layout Staci used a scalloped Strip as well as some words that she cut from both the Strips and Cards papers.
