I confess I have been gathering more junk. and the odd treasure.

I purchased an oil reproduction of a Eduoard Manet painting 'Boy with Cherries" at an op shop when I was on holidays. I was going to the movies and got sidetracked by a lovely little op shop run by the Baptist Church.  I spotted the painting when I first walked in at first thought it a print but on closer inspection discovered it was an oil and had been framed professionally.   It was selling of $25AU do I snapped it up. When I got home I took a closer look at the back of it and discovered it had been painted in the late 1950's and cost the original owner 61 pound. The frame is beautiful and whoever owned it prior to me kept it in immaculate condititon.  I love it but would love it more if it matched my decor!  I currently have it in my little office.

There is more - a pair of shoes, brand new with tags in my size. $5AU - wonderful buy if I was going to wear them!!!! They are olive green.  I don't know what possessed me to buy them - I have nothing whatsoever I can wear them with. A wonderful little treasure to clog up my shoe rack!

I bought a glass picture frame - because it is vintage and I have the perfect thing to go inside. $1.50AU...a bargain!  Trouble is I love the art card of a scene in Paris already in the frame I haven't used it for what I intended.  More to dust!

Not to forget either, yesterday I bought another puppet. $ 1AU  I don't need another puppet!  I have a dog, fish, raccoon, possum, monkey, koala and more ...why did I need to buy another puppet!

Don't think I am finished yet!  I have infected my son with the same disease.  He bought a vintage accordion for $35AU - we don't have a musical bone in our bodies!

My Two Peas Story

Into the bucket!

Once upon a time, mind, not too long ago, a little , middle aged woman who lived in a shoebox sized unit in Perth, Western Australia had so many photos sitting in a cheap and nasty stripy bag she didn't know what to do with them.  The photos of her family were gathering dust and the odd crumb and as scrappers know allowing photos to become  dirty, dusty AND crumby is a dastardly sin in scrap booking society.

Now the middle aged woman wanted to digi scrapbook but didn't quite know where to start - she fiddled in Publisher and in Word and got some small pleasure from her efforts.  She lashed out and purchased some software with her Christmas money and away she went.  This little, middle aged woman sitting at her desk in the smallest room of the shoebox sized unit in Perth was on her way from misery to happiness.

Pure joy was to come for this now happier soul when she googled 'digital scrap booking" and up came "Two Peas in a Bucket."  She fell off her wobbly office chair and went headlong into the bucket.  She joined the other peas online and is now as "p(l)eased as Punch!"

February already!

The first month of the year has flashed by and today heralds the start of the new school year.  Not that I have school aged children now, but to me it means a trip to the shopping centre is relatively peaceful now compared to school holidays.

One week to go at work and then I have a week of leave. I am going to stay close to home, roll up a few lawn bowls, visit the beach and generally laze about. No doubt I will digi scrap - I cannot believe I have completed so many layouts - not to mention the Easter, birthday and Mother's Day cards I have made which I haven't uploaded

I am waiting for some prints to come in the mail and it is driving me crazy - waiting.....waiting and waiting!

Back again!

I was intending to update this more often but time has got away from me.  It's a bit like Project 365 - here it is the 13th and I have only taken photos on five of those days.  Maybe I should start a challenge where peas have to create an excuse of some weird description as to why they didn't take a photo on certain days...the dog ate the camera...I've gotta splinter in my shutter finger...Something exciting happened toay and I thought I got a good shot but then looked...it was my nose.  Well that has covered a few days!!!!

A New Year!

Happy New Year!

The temp around 38C today and I have the window wide open hoping to catch a little puff of breeze every now and again. Every now and again isn't very often much to my dismay.  Even the dog has taken to the shower recess to cool down.

I have been fiddling in my Scrapbook Factory Deluxe working out what I can do in it and am pretty pleased.  Not that my finished projects would appeal to everyone, mind.  Still, it is all about fun and that is what I am doing..melting and having fun!

I admit I have been lurking around!

I have been a bit of a devil and lurked around this site for a few days seeing what goes on.  Enough lurking, time to join in on the fun!  I'm Ros and I live in beautiful Perth, Western Australia.  The only state of Australia to live in I might add.

I am new to scrapbooking although the desire to indulge has been there for a while as has the big bag of photos stuffed inside my wardrobe.  I decided to make all my Christmas cards this year and had so much fun I'm now in scrapbook mode.

I have almost completed an album of old black and white photos of my parents and have enjored doing this.  Then I bought a digital camera and the fun really started!  I think I enjoy digital scrapping better.  I have dabbled in Creative Companion, got some great results in Word, Publisher and an old Greenstreet Publisher.  I now use Nova Developments Art Explosion Scrapbook Factory Deluxe.  There are lots of templates and layouts but I prefer to create my own.

This is my first created in Scrapbook Factory!
