Announcing our newest DT Member, Carrie Ferrier!

Carrie_head_shot_for_CIWe are so excited to welcome our newest design team member, Carrie Ferrier! We love her work and know she will inspire you with our products. Please join us in welcoming Carrie to our team!

"Hi, I’m Carrie and live in Indiana!  I am married my high school sweetheart of 28 years and I am the mom to 2 grown sons, and a beautiful daughter in law.

Ever since I was a little girl I loved taking pictures {with my little 110 camera}, collecting pretty stationery, and writing in my diary. I still love those 3 things, only now I put them altogether and call it scrapbooking.

I’ve been scrapbooking for 10 years now. Since I didn’t start scrapping until my boys were in middle school, one of my common ways to scrap is retrospectively. Most of my pages feature my very photos; I then create a page around those photos. My style is what I like to call linear with a bits of funky thrown in. I love to have FUN with my creating. I’ve been fortunate and excited to be published in various magazines; Creating Keepsakes, Simple Scrapbooks, Making Memories, Handmade, and Scrapbook Trends. Besides scrapbooking, I enjoy dabbling in photography, spending a lot of time with my familly, and taking long bike rides. I’m a night owl and it’s not unusual for me to be scrapping at 2am from time to time. Rarely does my creativity wake up until after 6pm. I love reality tv. I’m absolutely thrilled and honored to be a part of Creative Imaginations team. To say I’m over the top happy is an understatement. I look forward to creating with the beautiful product and having fun doing so."

Happy Holidays

'Tis the season to be jolly...and to scrap all about it!   Hey there it's Tanisha here with a holiday layout that I created using Debbie Mumm's Polar Christmas Collection.

My son’s daycare provider tucked this picture of him, during his first Christmas season, in a card and sent it home.   Those big, chubby cheeks (and pout) make him look like a sweet little teddy bear much like the ones on this Christmas collection.  What a perfect fit!

CI supplies used:

Debbie Mumm Polar Christmas

26878 Polar Friends

26879 Polar Christmas

26877 Polar Fun

26880 Blizzard

26882 Polar Christmas Stickers

Signature Collection

26030 Double Sided Cardstock (toast)

26019 Double Sided Cardstock (sunbeam)

Other supplies:

Border  punch

Foam Adhesive

  1. Use the red side of Polar Friends as the background.
  2. Cut Polar Fun to 10”x 8” and adhere it to the top of the background.
  3. Cut the striped side of Blizzard to 10” x 2” and adhere it beneath the strip from step 2.
  4. Punch a decorative border into a 12” x 2” strip of cardstock and adhere it over seams.
  5. Cut strip from Polar Christmas and adhere to the top of border strip.
  6. Mat photo using the blue side of Blizzard and adhere to the left side of the layout.
  7. Cut igloo from 2nd sheet of Polar Fun and adhere to layout using foam adhesive.  Adhere stickers.

Unexpected Christmas Papers

Hey there, it's Tanisha here with an unexpected Christmas layout.  Creative Imaginations has a wonderful array of Christmas Collections, but I decided to stretch the limits a little bit and come up with a way to make a Christmas layout out of IOD Loolah, a collection that wasn't originally intended to be a Holiday line.

I used Little Ladybug as the base of the layout and coated the ladybugs with red stickles so they would look more like twinkling Christmas nights.

CI Supplies:

  • IOD Loolah
  • 25563 Little Ladybug
  • 25562 Sweet Garden
  • 25558 Little Daisy
  • 25557 Fanciful
  • 26503 Cardstock Stickers
  • 25569 Epoxy Stickers
  • 25568 Loolah Words
  • Samantha Walker Christmas Traditions
  • 27137 Ornaments
  • Signature Collection Cutables
  • 26337 Kraft
  • Marah Johnson Breathless
  • 26486 Self-Adhesive Gems
  • Creative Cafe
  • 18333 Red Loops
  • Luminarte
  • 26402 Egyptian Gold Shimmering Spray
  • 26434 Mallard Dabber
  • Other Supplies
  • Cardstock, Ink, Petaloo Flowers

  1. Adhere Little Ladybug to a sheet of black cardstock.
  2. Cut a 9 1/4" x 1 1/2" strip of Sweet Garden and adhere it about 2 1/2" from bottom of background.
  3. Punch border into a 9 1/2" x 1" strip of black cardstock and adhere it to strip from step 1.
  4. Cut a 9 1/2" x 4 1/2" piece from Little Daisy, distress and ink the edges and then adhere to cardstock strip.
  5. Cut tree from corrugated cardstock; paint the edges with dabber, spritz with shimmering spray, and decorate with gems, felt trim, and flower.
  6. Cut 1" square from the print side of Fanciful, ink the edges and the attach to the bottom of the tree.  Use foam adhesive to attach to the layout.
  7. Cut 2 ornaments, mat with black cardstock and adhere to the layout.  Add ribbon.
  8. Decorate the layout with stickers and flowers and add stickles as desired.

I also created a super quick and easy tag using Samantha Walker's Christmas Traditions Line.

I simply covered a manila tag with Christmas Tradition paper, inked the edges and added a die cut.  All I have to do is write "to and from" and attach it to a gift for a nice little homemade touch.
