Splash of Color's Magic Cruise line
I am so in love with the new Magic Cruise line by Splash of Color which I used to create this page:
I used the patterned papers to create the top and the bottom of my page, and then I just embellished with all the fun, creative stickers in the collection. I also cut out the adorable banners to create movement to my page. Be careful when cutting out the water paper on the bottom to save the little cruise ship. These papers are perfect for all your cruises but they especially work for the Disney cruise.
Supplies:
Magic Cruise paper
Magic Cruise stickers

NEW SPLASH OF COLOR, SPORTS EXTREME, FOOTBALL COLLECTION!!!
Hey scrappers, Donna here, sharing Splash of Color's wonderful new Sports Extreme Football Collection!
I've always been a sports fan, loving a few of the sports better than others, and football has always been at the top of the list! So, you know I was thrilled when I got to create with Splash of Color's new Football collection. The papers are named ever so aptly for the sport - things like end zone, kick off and all football. The are lots of coordinating stickers too - end zone, touch down, game over, and big game.
Check this out..........
I new as soon as I saw the collection what I wated to do and that was to create a little something brag book style, to show off my neohew, who is a huge sports enthusiast - he plays pretty much everything,
I grabbed some old gift cards, some mod podge, chipboard, epoxy stickers and the wonderful new papers and created a mini album/key chain! This was a really fun project, and easy to create, so if you have old gift cards (or credit cards) hanging around, give this a go! Simply apply mod podge to the cards, adhere your papers and stickers, and once those are dry, mod podge again over all.
I applied football rubons here and there, and of course, buttons.........
Check out the rubons on the canvas ribbon .....
and even 2" x 2" photos...
If you have a sports enthusiast in the house, especially one who loves football, you want want to miss this collection!

From the moment I laid eyes on the Cotswald Manor Collection by IOD
it was LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT!!
...the colors....the patterns.....softness!!
Needles to say it was a breeze to create with such BEAUTIFUL papers.
I began my layout by mixing Viva Colour Modeling Cream ~ Pearl
with a little Haematte and Steel Blue Inka Gold.
Using the Bon Soir stencil, I applied the mixture to a piece of Devotion paper.
When dry I cut the piece into smaller pieces and distressed the edges.
I then used a punch on the Romantic paper and created more strips.
Using the back side of the Romatic paper, cut smaller strips.
To accent the layout I created a row of pearls using
Cream Pearl Pen by Viva Colour.
As a final accent I spritzed the flowers with
Luminarte Radiant Rain Shimmering Mist ~ Pearl Gold.
With Valentines Day right around the corner,
I also wanted to share with you the card I made.
This paper just screams.....LOVE!!
Hope you've enjoyed my creations and that
Cotswald Manor by IOD is on your "must have" list
of new releases this season!!

Splash of Color's Magic Cruise line
Hello! This Magic Cruise line by Splash of Color just released is pure fun...down to the last detail!
The double-sided papers made this page come together so quickly...and easily.
I used the border paper for the top of my page and cut out a strip of words from the Bon Voyage paper to add to my top with pop-dots. I then cut out the water strip from the Cruising paper, maintaining the little cruise ship, for the bottom of my page. The rest of the page was just created with the adorable stickers in this collection. I added some movement by cutting out a couple of banners and pop-dotting them to my page. The page came together in no time and it is the perfect way to display my niece's family night dressed as pirates.

NEW EASTER COLLECTION sneak-peek by Shelley Hamilton
Shelley, here, with another sneak-peak of one of our new collections!
This one is our new signature EASTER Collection, and it is absolutely beautiful! Check it out!!
In my layout, I used the Happiness paper for the background. This paper is so bright and beautiful, and the back side of it has a chick basket motif that is adorable! I used the back to make the bottom envelope!
For the middle envelope, I used the Easter Bunny paper. Besides the back side having the beautiful yellow gingham look, the front side is full of pretty Easter pictures from times past. It also has borders that can be used with any of the papers in the collection! This paper is a win-win!!! To accent this page, I used several papers from our 6"x6" Gingham paper pad.
I also used a Viva Colour Pearl Pen in Copper to make the purple flowers around the egg and the balloon come alive!
To finish off the envelopes, I used two tiny canvas flowers from the Monarch package of PAINT IT! with Luminarte flowers! I painted these with Viva Colour Precious Metal Effect Paint in Purple! This paint is so smooth and shiny that you will want it in every color! Trust me!! I added a piece of eye candy in the centers of the flowers to finish off this page!
Look for this collection instores or on our new Splash of Color website Feb 2013!

New Marah Johnson Le Jardin Collection!
Le Jardin by Marah Johnson
is a fun, funky collection with great colors and images.
I chose to get a bit Artsy with my layout using this collection.
There was alot of mixing, spritzing,
image transfers and vintage lacegoing on!!
I cut the banner pieces from the Le Jardin paper and
image transfered them onto pieces of canvas,
along with 3 different Butterflies.
Then the color mixing began!!
Viva Colour ~ Haematite and Lava Red ~ Inka Gold
I used this mixture in a watered down state to dip the banner
pieces in, to color the Mini Pearl Daises.
In a slighty thicker state,
I removed blobs of each Inka Gold with my Palette Knife,
and mixed in a wee bit of water
then spread it through the Floral Stencil.
I did this process 4 times to create the three dimensional flower,
each layer cut out slightly smaller than the last
I also created a Funky card with this collection.
I cut out various images from the Seedlings paper and
accented them with Inka Gold.
The background paper was created by dipping the backside of the
Dragonfly paper in the left over watered down
Inka Gold mixture from my layout.
I hope you have enjoyed this collection as much as I have! Look for it in stores or on our new Splash of Color website Feb 2013!

Hey scrappers, Donna here, sharing one of Art Warehouse's newest destination papers, New York!!!! Start spreading the news...................................
Check out this cool collection with double papers named Taxi, Graffiti, Liberty, Subway and more! With images in bright, vivid colors, these papers make you feel as if you are right there in the big apple.
And here is my layout, "I Love".
I had tons of fun cutting up and incorporating several of the different pieces of paper on the layout. Some are used as a background, some I created layered banners with, some I punched single words from, and with the bright yellow of the Taxi paper, I created a large photo frame and also placed a strip across the center of the layout. The photo is 4" x 4", backed with a doily and some scrunched up red embroidery thread.
Gotta love the big city, right!!

NEW Splash of Color Basketball collection
Hello there. Splash of Color is releasing the most fabulous sports collection this CHA, and I am thrilled to work with the basketball collection called "Hoops".
And here's my page I created with this collection:
Here is a fun page I did with this collection for my son who just started playing Varsity basketball last year. As you can see from this shot of him hitting the backboard instead of the basket, he still has some learning to do. LOL!! I love the large titles in the sports collection and used it to spread across my page and cause movement. The stickers in this collection make creating so easy. I think you will love this Hoops collection for those basketball photos.

NEW CHA release of Splash of Color's Football collection
It's that time again....time to release this cool Splash of Color football collection.
We take so many sports photos so it is always refreshing when a fun sports collection comes out to aid us in scrapping our many photos. This is a page I did for a friend of mine whose adorable little boy plays football:
I loved the grid-lines background paper and I thought that large football player was the perfect shape to cut out to add movement and interest to my page! The football sticker border is extra cool too. Each sports collection has lots of great journaling blocks that can be used for titles/journaling/etc. You will not be disappointed with this collection

NEW Marah Johnson Shell Seekers Collection
Shelley, here, with an exciting SNEAK-PEEK from Marah Johnson - Shell Seekers Collection!
This beautiful sea collection is teeming with color and opportunities to show off your most cherished beach pictures. Take a look!!
Here is my layout, where I used several pieces of the paper and the sticker sheet , and I had a great time doing it!
I started with the Sea Horse paper for the background. I took another piece of the same paper, but opposite side, to create the strip of blue background for my pictures. I tucked the strip under the edges of the sea life on each side of the background paper by using a xacto knife. I then matted the pictures on white.
Under the pictures, I used the Lighthouse paper, and made fringe with it. I glued it down, then covered it with Viva Colour Stone Effect Paste in Sand Stone, putting actual tiny shells in the sand!
The title for the page, and the round picture corners that are shells, came from the sticker sheet for this collection. To adhere the shell to the title sticker, I used just a bit of the Stone Effect Paste again. It works wonderfully to stick the shells on the paper!
I used Viva Colour Paper Pen in Sand to make the yellow dots on the coral on the left-hand side of the page. On the bottom of the page, I used a Pink Paper Pen to again make a coral piece come alive! On the right hand side, on the jellyfish, I used a Pearl Pen in Gold, and Paper Pen in Opal! I love these pens, as they have great versatility, and come in a nice array of exquisite colors!!
I hoped you enjoyed this sneak peak of our new SHELL SEEKER Collection by Marah Johnson, coming out this week at Winter CHA! Please check back tomorrow for another sneak-peek!!

NEW BASEBALL COLLECTION...sneak peek by Shelley Hamilton
Shelley, here, to share with you an exciting new collection: ALL BASEBALL from SPORTS EXTREME by Christine Adolf! Check this out!
This paper is wonderfully colored with every baseball player's favorite colors: blue, grey, and black!! When I saw this collection, I was genuinely thrilled! It's exciting, fresh, and has stars and stripes! What's not to love!
Here is a layout of my favorite baseball player, my son, Evan!
For this layout, I used a piece of All Baseball over another piece of All Baseball (this time the opposite side) over a piece of Grand Slam! I love the layered look and the striped effect this afforded!
I used the title from All Baseball, and glued it down at the top of the page, along with some elements from the Sticker Sheet. I double-matted my son's picture, and pop-dotted it to the page on the right hand side, and then matted and glued down, the baseball player from the All Baseball paper to the left hand side of the page.
I used the Grand Slam paper to make sack envelopes, and I embellished them with pieces from the Play Ball paper and the Sticker Sheet. I then made tags with the extra paper, putting a picture on one side, and sayings or stickers on the other side. I stapled a bit of the striped paper from All Baseball to make little tabs on these. I finished off this page with a bit of twine on the sack envelopes.
Thanks for looking today! Be sure to check back tomorrow for another fun SNEAK PEEK!!

SNEAK PEEK - Man Cave collection
Good morning! I'm so excited to reveal this fun, fun Signature collection entitled "Man Cave"! Isn't it so masculine and approriate for men?
I started with the back side of the Man Cave collection as my background and then I matted three wallet-sized photos for my page. I chose two of the Man Cave sticker borders for the top and bottom of the page, and then I embellished around the three photos with the various stickers included in this collection! This case came together quickly and was so much fun to create. I also chose to use the "Man Cave" theme for my father-in-law who is 78 years old to show that the collection works for any man in your life.

Great News!!! Creative Imaginations transitions to "Splash of Color"
To all of our valued Creative Imagination supporters!
With the significant changes in the paper crafting market over the
last several years, Creative Imaginations believes it is time to close its
doors after an amazing 25 years of doing business.
The closing of Creative Imaginations brings forth a BRAND NEW OPPORTUNITY for our employees and the addition of a new co-owner as we introduce our new company, SPLASH OF COLOR. Unlike Creative
Imaginations, which was often labeled as purely a scrapbook manufacturer,
SPLASH OF COLOR's goal is to support the rapidly growing mixed media market.
SPLASH OF COLOR will not abandon the paper crafting market, but our
efforts will be targeted specifically to "back to basics" paper
crafting products, targeted to the beginner, while simultaneously supporting the mixed media artist and crafters of all levels
and experiences.
Over the past few years we have seen "art creation" become a dedicated part of your life style, which is continually nurtured by visual stimulants offered through websites and social media platforms - You Tube, ETSY, Pinterest, Instagram, etc.
SPLASH OF COLOR is of the opinion
that this is the future of our industry, and will be well represented by
our LuminArte and VIVA Colour product collections. Think paints,
pigments, dimensional embellishments, tools and surfaces.
Mixed media is all about rich, natural colors, real dimensional textures
and diverse inspirations from the heart and soul. The touch and feel of a
mixed media project can encompass ALL our senses, bringing us back to our creative roots.
SPLASH OF COLOR will maintain CI's same excellence in art and design and our popular licensed Artists and products will continue to be part of our family!
Please look for us at the SPLASH OF COLOR booth at the Winter CHA show,
booth #2342 (Anaheim, January 2013). We will be launching a brand new state of the art website over the next couple of weeks! Look for our "sneak peeks" starting tomorrow!
Thank you for your support in the past and for your continued support as
we embark on our newest creative journey.

Decorating the house for the holidays
Jules here to share a quick decoration i made for my home this Holiday season! I was missing something for our hall mirror and thought to myself, why not make a NOEL sign to greet friends and family when they visit. This same concept can be adapted for any Easter, Spring, Summer or really any occassion!
Because the letters are all backed with vellum, these pieces could be placed in a window allowing the light to illuminate them as well.
I used several of the oh so pretty papers by IOD for Creative Imaginations. I punched out the letters from the chipboard squares by Bare Elements. I covered the squares with the papers. I backed each square with a piece of vellum . I used the Viva Colour glitter pen in Champagne to out line each square. I also used the pen on the poinsettas to pop them from the paper. To add interest to the various papers, I used Luminarte's Primary Elements in Dragonfly Wing and Hot Cinnamon along with the Viva Colour Precious Metal Color in Blue Lagoon.

Happy New Year! We are excited about 2013 as we have alot to share!! Creative Imaginations has a very special announcement to make that you don't want to miss! Check back here tomorrow for our big news!
Now onto a very special New Years project by dt member, Jules!
Although we seldom make midnight, we do have a New Year's Eve traditon. We invite a few couples over for cocktails and then we all go out some place nice for dinner. I like to have something festive on the table to greet our guests and to help issue in the new year.
I bought the essentials at a party store: the hat, the noise maker, the spray of stars and the mask. Using the IOD Paint It! paper, Viva Colour Inka Gold Metallic Rub in Old Silver and the Viva Colour Pearl Pen in black, I took these stanard New Year's Eve decorations and kicked them up a notch to create a pretty and easy center piece.
I applied the Viva Colour Inka Gold Metallic Rub (Old Silver) with my finger tips on to pieces cut from the paper. Using a soft cloth, I rubbed the color into the paper and was so happy with the vintag-y glow that resulted. I pleated a strip of this to place behind the mask, added a big black fun flower and the tie ribbons, and then rubbed the excess from the cloth onto the stars to give more color to the silver.
for the hat brim, I cut out a section of the paper, used the Viva Colour Inka Gold Metallic Rub and then highlighted it with Viva Colour Pearl Pens in Cream and Black. After these dried, I put the band on the hat and attached the front piece.
To finish off the centerpiece, I rubbed the Viva Colour Inka Gold Metallic Rub in Old Silver onto some grunge board numbers. The more I rubbed with the soft cloth, the deeper the color and the prettier it became.
I hope this new year finds you happy, prosperous and creative. Have a good one!
