i-space with Sam Hauzer

Hi Imaginisce fans! It's my turn today to share my crafty space. It's actually a bit of a work in progress. A little while back, I decided to turn my scrapping room into a kids play/computer room, and move all my scrapping gear into the garage. Well, I boxed a tonne of things up, and moved my shelves in, but that's about as far as I got! Of course, I set up all the things I use all the time, but I still have a long way to go until I get it how I want it. Here's a little peek of how it looks right now...

What you see here are just some of the essentials that I 'need' to scrap. The little trolly in the corner there is just for my Imaginisce papers.

These drawers contain alphas and stamps...

I bought a heap of plastic containers to keep all my bits and pieces in, and because they're kind of see through, I don't need to label them to see what's in each one. At the moment they are all mostly full of Imaginisce things, like my i-rock, flowers and of course my fave tool, the i-top.

I love these shelves!! I really need to get some more of them so I can finish unpacking.

Well, after writing this post I'm feeling a bit inspired to finish sorting out my scrap room! I hope you liked visiting my little crafty corner :)

Fall... a time for hangin' around

The past two days we've been focusing on our new coloured foam adhesive tapes and today we wrap up the product review with a wonderful display of projects created by our super talented design team, who never cease to amaze us with their ideas!

Frances Sylvia
'Fall Banner'

Frances created this delightful "FALL" banner and all of the embellishments were attached using the foam tape.
A closeup view of each banner piece and the sweetest array of embellishments.

'Fall Door Hanging'

Isn't this just the sweetest door hanging that would be a warm welcome for anyone entering your home.  Cristal has used a combination of the Happy Harvest and Apple Cider collections and we just love her row of caramel apples... yummy!
A sneak peek of the red foam tape hiding under each caramel apple cut-out.
Cristal's Product List:
Glue Arts Extreme
Imaginisce Foam Tape (Red)
Imaginisce Happy Harvest
Imaginisce Apple Cider
American Crafts Buttons
May Arts Ribbon

'Fall Wall Hanging'

Shemaine create this adorable tri-frame hanger that would be the centre-piece of any  wall. Aren't those little frames just adorable!
This adorable project was created using the Happy Harvest collection.
Shemaine chose to use the standard white foam roll tape to cut strips to her desired length and apply each embellishment to the frame for the perfect 'stick'.

It's our final day to enter out give-away and win yourself a wonderful assortment of coloured foam adhesive, and seriously, you can never have too much adhesive!
All you have to do to enter is leave a comment on Monday's post, Tuesday's post and today's post to be in the running.

Winner will be announced at the end of the week!

Coloured foam tape continued...

Welcome back to the second day of playing with the new coloured foam tapes and a whole new set of projects from our talented design team members.

After reading your comments yesterday, it seems that you are all very excited to have the option of using a coloured tape and this is especially beneficial when mounting embellishments to your layouts. So let's see what our team have been creating today...

Lydia Jackson
'Yo Ho Layout'
Lydia has created this wonderful layout using the Bon Voyage collection.
Lydia has used the foam tape to make her own thickers and then cover them in glitter! Such a creative idea and a real money saver!

Robyn Shaub
'Winter Wonderland Layout'
Robyn's layout was created using the 'Santa's Little Helper' Christmas Collection.
Robyn used the foam tape to create the frame around the outside of her layout and to add dimensional layers to her snowflakes.
Robyn has used the red tape behind her title and was thrilled to be able to cut the exact size that she required without having any overhang.

Samantha Hauzer
'Santa's Little Helper'
Samantha has created this adorable layout using the 'Santa's Little Helper' Christmas Collection

The foam rolls are perfect or cutting your desired length of adesive.

Extra dimension is added to die-cut pieces by using the foam adhesive.

We're giving one lucky follower the chance to win a hole bundle of their very own coloured foam adhesive so all you have to do is make sure you leave a comment on yesterday's post, today's post and tomorrow's post to be in the running. And we'd love to know what colour tape you would love to see made?

A new product to play with!

We are always excited to bring new products onto the market and our new coloured foam tape is another addition to the Imaginisce product line.

So often we were hearing crafty people tell us that there was a real need for foam tape to come in different colours as the standard white was sometimes a little too obvious poking out from behind the embellishments. And another request was for one pack with different size pieces which would cover all bases when looking for the perfect fit for your piece.

So we listened, we designed, and we made our new multi-colour foam tape.

Today we are going to share some fun cards that a few of our design team members have created using the new foam tape.

Courtney Lee
'Trick or Treat Card'

Courtney's Product List:
Cartridge: Happy Hauntings™
Patterned Paper:
Imaginisce: Happy Harvest: (red polka dot)
Imaginisce: Happy Harvest: (green polka dot)
Imaginisce: Happy Harvest: (orange polka dot)
Imaginisce: Happy Harvest: (stripes)
Solid colors: PTI
Foam Tape:
Imaginisce Colored Foam Tape in Black™
Imaginisce Colored Foam Tape in Red™
Imaginisce Colored Foam Tape in White™
Glitter: Martha Stewart Glitter and Glue Set in black (thanks Edna!)
Twine from The Twinery in Charcoal™
My Pink Stamper: Spook-alicious
Glossy Accents
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder: Love is in the Air

Courtney has used the red foam tape under her witch silhouette as it was perfect to cut the various shapes needed to fill the entire piece for a perfect 'stick'.
When sticking  down intricate pieces the foam tape is often difficult to hide  from behind. As you can see, Courtney has applied black foam tape to match her frame but hasn't yet taken off the backing paper.

Once the backing paper is removed the tape virtually disappears!

i-space with Shemaine

Hello Imaginisce friends! It's my turn to share my crafty space. Now don't laugh but my space is in the dining room of our Los Angeles apartment.

Living in the city can be tough at times with limited space and the fact that our building is 40+ years old. We have a 3 bedroom apartment and when we moved in our high top dining room table no longer fit in the new dining room. We were using it for storage and I was scrapping out of my daughter's closet (which wasn't really fun) until my husband sweetly suggested I make it over into my space. So I ordered some curtains and got out the Cricut and some vinyl and made it my own.

This bulletin board serves as the place where I hang mementos and some of my photos that I don't end up using go.

This was an outdoor plant hanger that my sister in law picked up and a yard sale and is perfect to hold my Tim Holtz distress inks, Stickles and variety of stamp pads. This is by far my favorite storage idea.

I love vintage anything and these cute jars were given to me by my Mom. I keep loose flowers in them and my Martha Stewart micro beads.

Since the building is old it has this cute little cupboard that used to be home to an ironing board. Back in the day many apartments came with an cupboard like this one. A previous tenant must have made some shelves in here which seemed perfect for holding all of my ribbon. I must admit I do have a serious ribbon really?

Here's how I store my i-rock tools and accessories. I picked up this jewelry organizer with a coupon from Michaels. It snaps closes and has grooves to hold each container in place.

I keep all my misc. products in this little cupboard.

So that's a peek into my scrap space. I really love that now when the kids go to sleep I can hang out as long as I like and my hubby is just across the room in his recliner watching T.V. There have been many nights I'll be crafting away until the wee hours and I find him asleep in that chair.

Have a crafty day!

60 Minute Madness!

It's Tuesday, the second day of the week and our second design team challenge and today we really set the bar high! We asked our designers to come up with a creation in 1 hour tops! Now for some of you that would seem almost impossible, who ever does anything in under an hour, right?

Well to our surprise, our designers surpassed our expectations and came up with some amazing projects that left us wondering whether the batteries in their clocks were working properly.

Lydia Jackson
'Thankful Layout'

A word from our designer Lydia:  'Here we go, my tip for quick scrapping is to keep it linear... Working with multiple straight lines for me is the easiest way to pull together a layout and is a great way to use up scraps.

Lydia's products list: Imaginisce Happy Harvest collection, i-rock tool and hotrocks, Core'dinations cardstock and distress inks and Smootch by Clear Snap.

'Gratitude Tags and Holder'

A word from our designer Erin: Here's a great idea that is perfect for Thanksgiving, but can be used any time of year! Just take an 8.5" x 11" paper and score it at about 2” horizontally and in half vertically then fold it. Embellish as desired, I hand cut a heart and added some other fun things). Close up the holder and punch a hole through all the layers. Thread the ribbon though as shown in the photo and add a bit of adhesive in the center crease. Ink the tags and then print on them using the printable that's I have available on my blog which you will find HERE  (

Erin's product list:
Patterned Paper & Die-cut Title - Imaginisce (Happy Harvest); Trim - Pink Paislee; Brad - American Crafts; Flowers (large) - Pink Paislee, (small) Maya Road; Ink - Quick Quotes Powder Puff; Shipping Tags

'Fall Memories Layout'

A word from our designer Marielle: Here's my 60 minute layout!!! I always find creating Imaginisce projects quick and simple because of all the beautiful die cut titles and embellishments that come with each collection. I find that I'm a much faster scrapper if I use a sketch to create my layouts. There's so many sketch blogs out there ,my favorite is Creative Scrappers :).

Marielle's product list:
All supplies are from the Happy Harvest collection. I've also used the new foam tape in brown, October Afternoon buttons, teal twine from the Twinery and a 2" scallop punch. I finished this layout by adding a touch of Glimmer Glaze in Fuzzy Coconut (Brown).

'Christmas Advent Calendar'

A word from our designer Aphra: I decided to alter this Kraft-colored paper mache advent box to help my sons countdown to Christmas. Each 2" by 2" drawer is covered with one of the festive patterns from our Santa's Little Helper line and embellished with the coordinating die cuts and tiny foam alphabet stickers. To top it off, I made an oversized paper bow. For details on how to create the bow, check out my blog - My Scrappy Life at

Aphra's product list:
Paper Mache Advent Box--Hobby Lobby; Patterned Paper and Die Cuts--Imaginisce Santa's Little Helper; Glut Dots--Zots; Liquid Adhesive--Tombow; Foam Alphabet Stickers--American Crafts Thickers.

So there you have it - four wonderful projects made by our very talented designers in under 1 hour!!!
If you are inspired to set the timer and scrap like a madwoman then we'd love to see what you create so don't forget to post a picture and a link on our facebook page and we'll be sure to stop by!

A little bit sketchy!

Happy Monday to everyone and the start of a fun filled week with a touch of difference.
We have given our design team lots of challenges this week and today we kick off with a sketch challenge designed by DT member Melinda Spinks.

The girls had no pre-requisits other than to use the sketch as inspiration and have fun, so let's see how they went...

Michelle Unruh

One little sketch and three beautiful yet totally different layouts. It just goes to show that a sketch is truly there for inspiration only and you can take what you want from it that suits your style, the amount of photos you have and even the collection you want to use.
We'd love to see your work if you decide to have a go at Melinda's sketch, so don't forget to upload your project to our facebook page.

Guest Designer + Giveaway!

We are very privileged to welcome to the Imaginisce fold as guest designer for October...
Suzanne Sergi

"My name is Suzanne Sergi and I am thrilled to be a Guest Designer for Imaginisce! I live in Orange County, but I'm a Texas gal at heart! I'm married to Steven, and we have three wonderful children. I have been scrapbooking for about twelve years and I also work part time at our local scrapbook store. There you might find me working an evening crop, or teaching a class, or two. Scrapbooking is my creative outlet, and I enjoy combining my love of paper with photography. I enjoy creating scrapbook pages, home decor projects and mini albums. You may even see a card from me! I have a passion for embellishments and lots of texture on my projects. Adding details to my papercrafts is my favorite part of the design process. Scrapbooking has turned into one of my biggest passions, and I'm fortunate to be designing for several manufacturers. I have also been blessed to have some of my work published in Scrapbook Trends! When I'm not scrapbooking, you'll find me with a Starbucks drink and a really great book! Thank you, Imaginisce, for inviting me to Guest Design with you this month!"

Before we begin sharing some of Suzanne's beautiful work we decided to ask her a few little questions to get to know her a bit better.

Q. Diet or Regular?
A. Diet Coke with extra ice!

Q. When and where do you scrap/craft?
A. I scrapbook in my favourite room, my scrapbook room. I do share it with the Wii, however. So, there are times when my son, and his friends join me!

Suzanne got to play with the Geek is Chic collection for starters and created this delightful layout of her gorgeous youngest daughter who seems to be a model student!

Q. What is one item or technique you use most often?
A. My go to technique is simply using embossing folders. I love texture on my papercrafts, and they add immediate texture!

Q.  What is your favourite Imaginisce Tool or product?
A. My favorite tool has got to be the I-Top tool! Now, I will admit I do not own one. However, last weekend I was at a crop, and saw my friend use it in action! Where have I been? This is definitely on my wish list! The ability to turn a simple brad into something fabulous, is definitely a need (;

Suzanne also had a whole pile of Santa's Little Helper in her box and she has created the most amazing projects... so let's start with this beautiful Christmas layout of her eldest daughter.

Q. How do you kick of your creative process?
A. I always start off with my photos. I then lay out the paper for inspiration, and roughly draw a sketch. My page never quite looks like the sketch, but it does give me a starting point.

Q. What product couldn't you live without?
A. I cannot live without vellum! I love this beautiful translucent paper! It is gorgeous as accents on altered projects, and can soften a scrapbook page instantly!

Another gorgeous Christmas layout with the cutest little poppet, Suzanne's youngest daughter again.

And to finish Suzanne's day as guest designer on the Imagnisce blog we'd like to share the cutest Chritmas decorations and card using the Santa's Little Helper colletion.

How adorable is this darling Christmas stocking
And isn't this the cutest Chritmas tag, perfect for that special gift for the one you love!

And finally this delightful Seasons Greetings card using a hint of embossed vellum which Suzanne made mention that she could not live without. :)

Well we're sure you have loved seeing Suzanne's beautiful creations using both the Imaginisce Geek is Chic collection and Santa's Little Helper collection. We've also loved having Suzanne here with us as our guest designer.

Now we always like to give away our guest designer's favourite Imaginisce tool or collection and Suzanne has put the i-top 2.0 on her wishlist so we are going to give one lucky follower the chance to have their very own, brand new on the shelves...
i-top 2.0 and accessories

All you have to do is:
- Head over to Suzanne's blog and become a follower and leave her a comment
- Head back here to leave a final comment to enter

Winner will be announced next week!

i-space with Tracey

Hello Imaginisce Fans,
It is my turn to share with all of you my crafty space - a multi functional room that doubles as a craft room for me and my girls and a spare bedroom for guests.

Here you will see my desk.  My husband made it for me from a sheet of shelf board and folding legs.  This way it can easily be taken down and stored if needed.  He also installed a peg board above my desk where I have the bulk of my embellishments hung.  Though it seems overwhelming in this photo, I like it as everything is right in front of me when I create.  I can quickly leaf through embellishments to find something that works with my page.  I also find that I am more inclined to stay on top of my stash this way.
I also use the peg board to display some of my pages.

The sewing machine has been with me since I thought it would be a good idea to make a quilt when I was in grade 8.  I don't think it has seen a piece of fabric since then but I really enjoy using it for my scrapbook pages.

This TV armoire has been re-purposed to house all my other supplies.

I keep all my Snag-Ems stamps on XL binder rings.

I keep all my Imaginisce tools in this re-purposed Fruits and Passions container.  It works well for me as it's portable and easily taken to crops.

I couldn't have a craft room without a place for my two little side-kicks to create.  They have their own table and chairs and bank of drawers for their supplies.  The love it and are always asking to go "scrap".

?So there you have it, our little crafty corner.  I hope you have enjoyed this little tour.

Bon Voyage Travel Mini Album

Hi everyone!  Heather here to show you a little something I made with the new Bon Voyage collection.

Now that summer is over, if you're like me you probably have a ton of vacation or "staycation" photos ready to be scrapped.  Sometimes the hundreds of photos can be overwhelming when planning out layouts so when I'm in that situation, what I like to do is pick a few random photos that show off the highlights and put them in a mini album. I left more blank space than usual so that I have room to add ticket stubs and other little souveniers from our outings.

So, here's the "suitcase" mini I made. I blinged out the centers of the compasses and a few other elements with the i-rock and added more dimension using the i-top. Now I just need to insert my pictures and write the stories!

Thanks for stopping by!  I'd love it if you'd share (in the comments below) any tips you have for scrapping the gazillions of summer photos you take.

- xoxo Heather
