March Guest Designer

Welcome back to another day of beautiful projects from our
March Guest Designer,

Before we see more of Kimberly's work we wanted to share with you a few more 'get-to-know-you' details about her!

Q: What inspires you?
A: I love sketches, bold and vibrant colors, whimsical themes...Fun is a MUST in most all that I do because if I am not having fun then it just becomes a chore!

Q: If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?
A: As long as I am with family, that is home to me. I can't imagine any place being so spectacular that I would live away from my momma and daddy...Yes, I'm still a momma's girl at heart!!!!!

Q: How did you get into scrapbooking?
A: How would you describe your style? I had a friend introduce scrapbooking to me when my daughter was 4 years old...that was 8 years ago. WOW!!!! I can't believe it has been that long ago. Anyway, I started out, like many others, with Creative Memories. But, I soon ventured out and beyond what CM had to offer and I have never looked back. My style is along the lines of clean, linear, fun and simple. I guess to me, less is more!!!!

Okay, ok! Enough chit-chatting and on to the projects!!

Kimberly altered this wooden frame into a beautiful, treasured
keepsake for her daughter.

"Best Friends"
"For the picture frame, I adhered the paper with Mod Podge. You also want to add a thin layer of Mod Podge on top as well to seal the paper to the frame. It also protects the frame from future wear & tear. I went kind of simple with the styling of the frame, but I love the end resutl and my daughter was thrilled to add it to her room decor!!

"Sweet & Sassy"

"I love kraft cardstock and the Sole Sisters collection worked perfectly on top of the kraft.
This layout is of my lovely niece, Lauren, who loves to smile and pose for the camera. A little secret for those of you who sometimes get stuck on where to begin ... Scraplift yourself!! "

"Again I am so smitten with these fab girl papers and of course I used the i-rock to add some fun bling to my page. Several of the embellishments are pop-dotted for dimension and I used some fun border punches on the papers for interest."

*******

We hope that you've enjoyed seeing some of Kimberly's work as much as we've enjoyed having her join us this past month!

Now don't forget about our Giveaway!

All you have to do is leave a comment here on this blog post, hop on over to Kimberly's blog and let her know how much you enjoyed her projects and you'll be entered to win an i-rock tool of your very own!

March Guest Designer

We are happy to announce that our Guest Designer
for the month of March is .....

Hi, my name is Kim Arledge. I am a wife to Duane and a mother to Landon, Caleb, and Abigail. I am a transplant to the big state of Texas and have made roots here for a little over 7 years. In 2006, I was introduced to what would soon become my grandest obsession. I began with Creative Memories and very soon after, craved more and thus opened my eyes to a world I could have never imagined. This is how the story begins, but of course I am still writing it.
Other hobbies of mine include photography, reading paranormal romance novels and spending every available moment with my adorable family.
A few other random facts....I love coffee, sweet tea, rainy days, Pride and Prejudice, t-shirts and pajama bottoms, country music (although I love to throw in some Michael Buble' or Harry Connick Jr.) LSU football, and shopping shamelessly at Archievers.

You can see more of her beautiful work on her blog.

We asked Kimberly a few questions to help us (and you) get to know her better.

Q: Favorite TV shows?
A: Oh wow ... I love so many!! If I had to absolutely narrow it down to one it would be Grey's Anatomy.

Q: Diet or Regular?
A: Regular sweet tea or Coke ... I want the real thing, calories and all!!!

Q: Where do you like to create?
A: I love my scrap space upstairs, but tend to gravitate to my kitchen table in order to stay close to the kiddos while watching tv in the evenings.

Q: What kinds of projects to you prefer to create? (i.e. layouts, cards, altered, etc)
A: 12x12 layouts although I am having a blast with Mixed Media Art right now!!!!

Q: What is your favorite Imaginisce product right now?
A: Absolutely love the I-Rock!!!! I love the ability to "Glam Up" any project. So easy to use!!!!!

Now let's take a look at some of Kimberly's beautiful creations.

"Best Friends"

"This layout is of my daughter, Abigail, and her best friend, Ashley. I had so much fun with these fun patterns and how easily all the colors coordinated toghether. I especially had fun with the I-Rock, adding some bling throughout my page."

"Girls Just Wanna Have fun"

"The Sole Sisters collection worked perfectly for my daughter's birthday picture. I loved how versatile this line was for any occasion. On this particular layout, I went to my favorite sketch site, Creative Scrappers, for some inspiration. All the layers are backed with red cardstock which really pops against the black background. Again, I pulled out the I-Rock and added bling to my shoes and wherever else I wanted to add some fun!!!!"

Now in honor of our Guest Designer this month we want to have a Giveaway!

All you have to do is leave a comment here on today's blog post, hop on over to Kimberly's blog, leave her a comment & follow her blog and you will be entered to win one of Kimberly's favorite Imaginisce tools ....

an i-rock tool and accessories
(winner will be announced on Friday, March 30th)

Thanks for joining us today and please make sure to stop by tomorrow to see more of Kimberly's beautiful work.

1 product 2 ways

Today we'd like to share with you several different ways in which you can use our Snag'em Stamps. They are so versatile and sometimes we just forget how easy & simple they are to use!

Abby used the Circle Frame Snag 'em Stamp from out Bon Voyage collection.

Project #1
"I was needing a small gift box that was a bit on the masculine side so I decided to create this box and topped it with a bow/flower made from the circle frame stamp, then added an extra large I-top brad with burlap."

Supplies: Imaginisce (Bon Voyage papers & Snag 'em Stamp (Frame circle), i-top tool, extra large brad daddie, i-magicut ribbon cutter); Gold & Navy ribbon, raw box

Project #2
I also used the circle frame stamp as an accent to my card - rather than using it as a sentiment/journaling spot.

Supplies: Imaginisce (Bon Voyage paper, Snag'em Stamp (circle frame), Sticker Stackers, die-cuts); twine, tiny alphabets, cardstock

Diana used the Hibiscus Snag 'em Stamp from the Makin' Waves collection.
Project #1:
"I used the Hibiscus Snag 'em Stamp from the Makin Waves collection for my 2Ways projects. For the first card, I stamped the stamp as a pattern on a white card and then heat embossed with white embossing powder. Using distressed inks, I then applied the burnt orange coloring to the background, making a bold pattern for the card."

Supplies: Imaginisce (Snag 'em Stamp (Hibiscus from Makin' Waves collection), Happy Harvest paper); distressing ink, white embossing powder, button, kraft cardstock, ribbon, 'hello' sentiment stamp

Project #2:
For the second card, I punched a hole in the card to place the colored-in, singled out flower from the stamp. Remember, you don't always have to use the whole stamp. Singling outportions of a stamp can add a neat effect to any project. The clouds add dimension to the all-white card front, allowing for focus on the sentiment and flower.
Supplies: Imaginisce (Snag 'em stamp: Hibiscus from Makin' Waves collection), Fiskars Cloud punch, Nestabilities oval die, copic markers, rub-on sentiment, seam binding ribbon

The possibilities for using our Snag 'em Stamps is truly endless and we hope that you've been inspired to use them after seeing some of these ideas and beautiful projects today.

Everyday Inspriration

Inspiration is all around us from rising of sun, reading a home decor magazine, to making a delicious & colorful fruit salad.
Today we have 2 of our talented Design Team members sharing some projects with you that they created from inspiration around their homes.

"I drew inspiration from this Easter place setting and wanted to
create my own to look similar."

"I used Cricut's "Bags, Tags and Boxes" cartridge to create the sweet scalloped treat container. Because the container tapers towards the bottom, it's best to also cut your patterned paper in the same design; just trim the amount that you want to use and adhere to container after folding."

Supplies: Hippity Hop Patterned Paper, Chipboard Sticker, Fabric Flowers from I Rock Collection, Small Brad Daddy and Small Button Daddy, I Top Tool, Imagi-Cut Tool, I Rock Tool, White Glam Rocks, Misc: Ric Rac, Ribbon, Baker's Twine, Pipe Cleaners and Cricut made basket (from Core'dinations Cardstock) w/ contents

"Inspiration to create is every where and all around us us, all we need is just a little imagination. I love dress forms and I have at least four of them in my bedroom :). I just think they are pretty!" (As shown on my photo is my nightstand decorated with all my little knickknacks.)
"This is my favorite spot in the house next to my craft space of course. And so with this in mind I was inspired to create this layout. :)"

Supplies: Sole Sisters- Shop Till You Drop Paper, Makin' Waves - Bloomin' Hot Paper, I-Top tool, Bitty Blossom Flowers, Tim Holtz Stamp, Martha Steward Punch and The Twinery

We hope that you have been encouraged to find new ways to be inspired by things around you in your everyday life.

We'd love to see what you create so please remember to share your work with us on our Facebook page and you can even share links when you post here.

i-magicut Intensive - Day 1

Do you get frustrated when you cut ribbon and the ends start to fray off? Well Imaginisce has designed an innovative and AWESOME tool that will end that frustration for good!

The i-magicut is a ribbon cutting tool and edge sealer all in one. It used 4 AA batteries and cuts & seals ribbon up to 3" wide. It's safe, portable and so easy to use!
You can cut the ribbon on several different angles such as diagonal and chevron-style.

Here's a great video clip to show just what this little tool can do!

Our Designers have created some projects using this new tool and you won't be disappointed!

"To create this ribbon wreath, I cut lengths of various complimentary ribbon and sealed the edges with the i-Magicut before tying each around a wreath base in an overlapping row."

"I love how ribbon can help turn anything into something spectacular, whether it's a subtle touch or the feature. For my Spring card, I did a basket weave using 7 different strands of ribbon, with various cuts using the i-magicut. I mounted it on a card and finished it off with a Spring sentiment from the Hippity Hop collection."

"I used the i-magicut ribbon cutter and the Hippity Hop collection to make this mini album. The cutter was so easy to use. I placed the ribbon at various angles in the cutter and love the different ends I was able to make on the ribbons. Such a great little tool! And the Hippity Hop collection made this mini so fun for Easter memories!"

i-magicut Intensive - Day 2

Welcome back to Day 2 of our i-Magicut Intensive Week.
If you haven't yet seen this handy little tool by Imaginisce then you must take a look at this video because this tool is super fun, super easy and exactly what ribbon lovers need!

This video is with our own Deanna Lambson as she demonstrated the tool on ABC4 in Utah. She has some great tips on this tool.

"With my first card, Have Some Summer Fun, I folded my ribbon in half and followed the markings on the I-Magicut and simply held down the button for about one second longer than a regular cut. Wow...I will admit, I was skeptical. It made a perfect V shaped cut into my ribbon. This card was made using the Making Waves Collection."
"My second is a little different. It doubles as a card and a little gift. I cut it out using my Silhouette. I decorated it using the the Making Waves Collection and put a chalpstick inside. Again, I used the I-Magicut to give it the finishing touches. I followed the markings on the I-Magicut and it made a perfect cut, just the way I wanted it. Now, I have a no fray, cute bow on my card."

I used the i-magicut to cut the ribbons for the cute little banner, and also on the ribbon wrapped around the photo. I love that the i-magicut works on all different types of ribbon like the lime colored thick and textured grosgrain, and even the orange stitched ribbon too! Perfect cut each time, and seals the ends beautifully so there is no fraying.

"I've been wanting to make a card like this for so long but never attempted it as I knew my ribbon ends would fray. Thank you, Imaginisce!! Using the i-magicut, I'm confident my ribbon will remain cleanly cut and frayless. I created the tree by making a bunch of ribbon ties and using glossy accents to adhere them in a round shape."

"I wanted to create something unique with my ribbon and use the i-magicut to seal the edges because this particular ribbon that I was using was driving me crazy and wouldn't stop fraying. I felt like I was going to run out of ribbon eventually because of all the fraying.
I was looking online for ideas and came across this adorable fish (you can find more details on my blog about this) and decided to give it a try. The i-magicut helped me finish off my design perfectly!"

i-magicut Intensive - Day 3

Welcome to Day 3 of our Intenstive with the new i-Magicut Ribbon Cutter/Sealer. This tool will solve all your misery with those frayed ribbon ends!

Here's another great video by a former Imaginisce Desginer, Erin Bassett, showing how to use this fun tool.

Our Design Team have been enjoying this tool so much and are we excited to share with you today some more of their fabulous projects!

"I wanted to make a summery card and gift-tag set, for a "pool party" kid's birthday (we go to a lot of those). The new Makin' Waves collection was perfect for this, and I love how the I-Magicut enabled me to add ribbon and other trims in a clean-cut way. For example, if you look at the edges of the tag, it ends perfectly at the corners, with no fraying. If I hadn't sealed the edges, I would have had to wrap them to the back, which would not have worked so well on a tag. I was also happy to discover that the tool works great on trims - such as the trim I used for "water" and the iridescent trim I used to make the banner on the card - both had several different fibers interwoven throughout, but all got sealed off with the I-Magicut."

"If you have a little girl you know that hairbows are a staple in your girl's "wardrobe." Thanks to Imaginisce you can create your own custom hair accessories and thanks to the I-Magicut your bows will last because the ribbon won't fray! The I-Magicut also saves a step because you cut and seal the ends of the ribbon strips at the same time. It's brilliant!"
"I also used the I-Top and the Twist Daddies for two of my bows and created the center to match using strips of overlapping matching ribbon. Simply overlap the ribbon strips, crossing them at the center, adhere with a tiny bit of glue using the I-Bond glue gun, and then place in the I-Top tool just like you would paper to create your twist daddies! You can then attach them to an I-Top alligator clip like I have with the aqua bow, or an I-Top headband like I did with the pink bow. Since they twist off you can put a new bow on the headband each day! I have step-by-step photos and a tutorial on how I made them on my blog."

Adora Concepcion
"One of my favorite things to alter are alphabet. You can get it in different forms, there's a paper mache, wood and metal. I have a little stock of alphabet projects sitting in my craft room. I just love the way it looks. It doesn't have to spell a word, it's just random letters I found everywhere. Of course my favorite letter to alter is "A". :) Today's project is a lower case A, and I love the shape of it! I used the gorgeous "Makin Waves" collection to cover it and then embellished the edge with Hot Rocks Accent Cristals. I also used the new i-top tool to make the middle part of the flowers. To complete the project I added some ribbons and I am so happy with the new i-Magicut tool. I love how it gives a clean and smooth cut, great for all your ribbon cutting needs!"

i-magicut Intensive - Day 4

Sadly, today is our final day of the i-Magicut Intensive.
But we hope that you've enjoyed the projects that our Design Team has been sharing with you this past week and that you've learned many ways in which to use the fabulous tool.

And even though it's our last day we still have lots of inspiration and stunning projects to share with you today. So let's get started.

Rebecca Keppel
"I started by just cutting a bunch of different strips of ribbon. I cut them at different angles and some straight across. I love all the different looks you can get by lining the ribbon up on different angles and how the grid inside the i Magicut helps keep the cut straight. I was just trying it out, but then I figured all those strips of ribbon would add lots of color and texture to a layout, so I tied some in knots others in bows and adhered some straight on squares of Makin' Waves paper."

"I used grosgrain ribbons for my project. With grosgrain ribbons it takes about 8-10 seconds to make a complete cut with the Imagicut. When using a swiss dot ribbon, be sure to place the dots face down; this keeps the wire inside the Imagicut from getting gunky. I cut my ribbons in a dovetail fashion. Just fold your ribbon in half and place into the Imagicut at an angle; press for atleast 12-14 seconds (longer because you are cutting through two pieces). I also used a couple of the 'scrap' pieces of ribbon for the top portion of my layout!"

"I love to use ribbons in my projects, but there was always the problem of frayed ribbon ends. But now Imaginisce invented this amazing tool, called I-Magicut to break decisively with this problem: no more with those frayed ribbon ends and I will have precise cuts and great finish!"

"We went to Hawaii for our honeymoon and I've had the seashells in a drawer ever since we got back, waiting for the right thing to do with them. I thought it would be cute to create a scene with some sand, the shells and a few other tidbits of goodies like netting and some wire garland. The i-Magicut made my ribbon decoration so easy and fast!!! Love it for this sheer organza ribbon!!!"

Happy St. Patrick's Day

We wanted to share this fabulous St. Patty's day project with you today.

One of our talented design team members, Regina Mangum, created these cute buttons using the i-top tool and i-bond.
I didn't have any stamps with the sentiments I wanted, so I just printed them onto cardstock on my printer. To make quick, simple buttons, the i-Top alone is terrific, but I wanted to make some buttons with a bit more "flare" and so I created the top of the button with the i-Top and then used the i-Bond to adhere the ribbons and cardstock with hot glue.
The four-leaf "clover" was created by punching out four hearts and adhering them to the back of the button top.
How cute are these?
Give it a try and you'll have the perfect addition to your attire today!

Blog Hop with Core'dinations - Day 4

Welcome back to the final day of our Blog Hop with Core'dinations Colorcore Cardstock.
We have some more incredible projects to share with you today so let's get started right away.

Guiseppa created this stunning pleated border on her page
and then gently sanded overtop of it.
She also created some rolled roses - just beautiful, Guiseppa!

Guiseppa also created this fabulous card - she left the cardstock
as is to show off its' stunning color.

What a stunning banner!!! Just perfect for the upcoming spring season.
Rhonda ran some Core'dinations cardstock through her Big Shot machine over the top of Thickers stickers. Then while holding it in place, she used the Sand It Gadget to reveal the alpha shape below. (She saw this awesome technique on the Core site videos and thought it would be fun to try it out!)
She sanded the scalloped edges of the large pennants.
After she the letters in place on the cardstock, she punched them out with the i-top punch. She then used a bit of water to help mold the cardstock around the brad daddy. She made the brad with the i-top tool and attached to the flowers.

On this first layout that Rebecca created she left the background cardstock as is but embossed the green photo matte with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.

Rebecca put some brown cardstock through her paper crimper and used a piece of that to look like corrugated cardboard under the mini photos.

She cut another piece of that crimped Core into strips and layered them over the next die-cut for texture. Super cute idea Rebecca! She also embossed the circle background of her title using 2 different dot embossing folders, then sanded the images to show the embossing up even more.

For this next layout Rebecca sanded around the edges of the Whitewash cardstock.
She then used her d-stress tool to inscribe heart images along the bottom of her page.

Here's a closeup of the heart design Rebecca created.
Rebecca also outlined the punched out clouds and flower in the same manner (bascially she drew on the Core with the D-stress like it was a pen)

She also used the packaging from the die-cuts to back her photo and 3-D journaling tag. Great idea Mary Ann! Way to be resourceful!

Ilene Tell

For both of these adorable cards, Ilene used some embossing folders on the cardstock and then sanded the embossed images with the Sand It Gadget.

Blog Hop with Core'dinations - Day 2

We're back with Day 2 of our Blog Hop with Core'dinations!
We've got some more wonderful projects to share with you today.

Ro had a few words that she wanted to share about her experience using Core'dinations.
"The Core'dinations cardstock is different from anything I've used before. The colors are very beautiful, offering a huge range of shades and the texture of the papers is amazing. The cardstock is not only great for backgrounds but also great for sanding, tearing, embossing and more. Suffice to unleash the imagination and create beautiful projects! I'm totally in love with this amazing product."

Ro has punched out flower petals and then lightly sanded the edges. And how adorable is that cardstock bow?!

We love the swirly stitching around the edges of Adora's layout and the painted edges.

Core'dinations is excellent for stamping and using mists as Adora did on this layout.

How cute is this? Shellye used the Core' cardstock for the base of this
door hanger and lightly sanded around the edges.
She also the i-top 2.0 to create the gorgeous fabric covered brads.

Shellye also created this fabulous layout. She used the cardstock for the trees which she embossed with a polka dot folder and she also made some wonderful clouds to correspond with the Imaginisce die-cuts from the Happy Camper collection.

We hope you're enjoying the projects from this Blog Hop with Core'dinations.
Please make sure to stop by their blog and check out all of their gorgeous creations.

Blog Hop with Core'dinations - Day 1

Welcome to Day One of our Blog Hop with Core'dinations!

We are just thrilled to have partnered up with Core'dinations again. We absolutely LOVE their cardstock! The textures, styles, rich colors and the endless techniques that you can do with this cardstock make creating with it so much fun.

Here's what Core'dinations says about their cardstock:
"Core’dinations ColorCore Cardstock has a core color which “core’dinates” with the surface color. Each sheet has a tab underneath labeled “core color” that represents the interior color of the sheet. You can choose to keep that color hidden or add your own creative touch by sanding, tearing or embossing. "

If you have never had the opportunity to use this cardstock before
then we must tell you that you are missing out. BIG TIME!

You can emboss, deboss, sand, distress, tear, crinkle, crimp and stamp on this cardstock. The possibilities are truly endless. Make sure to check out their great videos on various techniques that they offer on the website.

Our Design Team have been creating up a storm and are anxious to share their amazing projects with you.
So let's get the party started!!!

Heather made these two fabulous cards with a heart theme
because she has fallen in love with Core.
Heather used some Happy Camper papers along with the d-stress tool and embossing tip to create this awesome looking tree trunk heart design. It's amazing and another great use for the d-stress tool!

In this layout Cari used a variety of techniques on the Core cardstock
along with our Hippity Hop collection.
She made long scored lines on the purple cardstock & short lines
on the green background cardstock to create a 'stitching' effect.
She then sanded over the embossed lines to really show them off!
She also did a bit of paper tearing which really brings out the inside color core.
Cari then die-cut some letters for her title and ran them through a paper crimper & lightly sanded them. Very cool effect.
Cari created another layout using the Happy Camper collection and the Black Magic cardstock for the background. She sanded all around the outside edges to bring the light brown shade through.
On the middle paper strip she embossed a darling owl design with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. She then added some turquoise Hot Rocks, with the i-rock tool, for the owl's eyes.

Regina started her card off with some of the Birthday Bash collection and then did embossing on the White Wash cardstock with a fantastic star design. She then sanded over the image to bring the beautiful turquoise color through.
She punched out the star from a piece of Core Essentials and sanded around the edges.

For this layout Regina embossed the orange cardstock and then sanded it to show off the beautiful floral design. Along with the Hippity Hop collection she used White Wash paper to create the 'grass', sanding the tips on one side and flipping it over for a second layer.

Diana created some beautiful cards and used some embossing folders on them. Beautiful designs.

What an adorable gift basket Diana! Just perfect for the Easter season.

As you can clearly see Core'dinations is an excellent quality cardstock for making all sorts of projects from cards, layouts, boxes and altered projects.

If you're looking for more ideas on how to use this cardstock make sure to check out what the Core'dinations Design Team has created on their BLOG!!! They'll knock your socks off!
