Magni-top Jewelry - Day 4

Well we're back with our final day of our jewelry fashion show!
We truly hope that you have been inspired by these beautiful creations!
We also hope that we've given you some ideas for creating your own jewelry items.

We have a few more designs to share with you today.

I wanted to make something "glamorous" and use the i-rock to adhere hot rocks to a Magnet Daddie I had covered with felt. The necklace is interchangeable so I can make as many of these pendant covers as I'd like!

Supplies: Imaginisce (Sole Sisters patterned papers, Magni-top Necklace and pendant, Magnet Daddies (large), Hot Rocks, i-top 2.0 tool, i-rock tool); Felt, Box (necklace box by Lori Whitlock for Silhouette), Cardstock (Stampin' Up)

I printed a favorite photo of my husband and our son on some printable canvas and turned it into a charm with the i-top, sealing it with a sealant to protect the photo. Then, I made two smaller charms with cardstock that I had turned into "faux suede".

Supplies: Imaginisce (Magnet Daddies (large & medium), i-top 2.0 tool, Magni-top charm bracelet and pendants); Other: specialty paper, printable canvas (Strathmore), Mod Podge, Super Glue, Cardstock (Stampin Up)

I made a necklace using both a medium and a large magnet daddies and the i-top to cover them in fabric swatches. It was really easy to add the second charm to the necklace using small pliers. Using pieces from the Hello Cupcake line, I also decorated a small frame to hold the necklace making the whole presentation the perfect present for any girl!

Supplies: Imaginisce (Magni-top necklace, medium magnet daddy, large magent daddy, i-top 2.0, Hello Cupcake paper & die-cuts, i-rock); Other: fabric, frame, adhesive glitter gems

I used small magnet daddies, covered with Imaginisce paper, then adhered fabric flowers with large i-rock gems to the magnet daddies. I made enough for a very flowery bracelet, but since they are removable, I thought they could easily be lessened and use a couple of the magnets on coordinating earrings.

Supplies: Imaginisce (Makin' Waves & Sole Sisters papers, small magnet daddies, i-top 2.0, Magni-top (bracelet, earrings), i-rock, Gems, flowers)

I have never made a piece of jewelry before and I must confess that I loved working with the Imaginisce Magni-top Jewelry. I made this bracelet using patterned paper, some Glam Rocks, mini flowers and the result is this romantic bracelet for a girl.

Supplies: Imaginisce (Magni-top bracelet, Glam Rocks, I-rock tool, magnet daddies, patterned paper (from Makin' Waves)); other: flowers

Magni-top Jewelry - Day 3

I think our Design Team gals have found a new love - jewelry making! They just keep coming up with gorgeous pieces of jewelry!
I'm in awe and honestly would love to wear all of it!!

We've got a few more to show you today beginning with Abby.

I made a nautical necklace that I thought would be a nice piece for me, however my teenage son LOVES it and wants it for himself!

I rolled up bits of Bon Voyage paper scraps on a thin dowel rod and used those as spacers between the beautiful compass and anchor covered magnet daddies. A simple design, but I really love the result.

Supplies: Imaginisce (Magni-top necklace and pendants, i-top 2.0 tool, magnet daddies, Bon Voyage patterned papers)

When I opened my package of Magni-top goodies I knew immediately that I wanted to use the MagniTop Bracelet! I just love the design of it!

My inspiration came from these cute charms that were part of a pen. The pen has since ran out of ink, but I kept the charms because they were so interesting. When I got the jewelry, I knew those charms and our Sole Sisters line were the perfect match!

Supplies: Imaginisce (Sole Sisters patterned papers, magnet daddies (22mm, 28mm), i-top punches (22mm, 28mm)); Other: black tulle and mini mister

I made a flower necklace for my niece, but really I don't mind making one for myself! :) I am so glad Imaginisce made these jewelry components, they're so cute and adorable!
For my project I made an interchangeable pendant. It was easy and so fast to make.

All you need is Imaginisce Medium Magnet Daddies, Imaginisce Magni-top Silver-plated necklace and the Imaginisce i-bond tool.
I attached the silver plate on the back of the flowers and the magnet on the necklace pendant, and there you go ... two in one!
Supplies: Imaginisce (Magni-top silver plated necklace, medium magnet daddies, i-bond tool); Other: Prima flowers

I love a "classic" style and as much as I am drawn to color I am still attracted to the classic black & white color combo. It just never grows old. So I decided to create a necklace & matching bracelet with this "salt & pepper" theme!
I used fabric to cover the brad daddies and I just love how simple that process is with the new i-top 2.0.

Necklace: I just added a large flower behind the magnet for some visual interest. I also adhered some black Glam Rocks around the outer edge of the brad daddy with my i-rock tool.

Bracelet: I covered three magnet daddies with fabric, attached to the bracelet along with 3 small pearl charms.
Supplies: Imaginisce (Magni-top necklace, pendants, i-top 2.0 tool, magnet daddies, flower, bracelet, black Glam Rocks, i-rock tool)

Magni-top Jewelry - Day 2

So how did you enjoy yesterday's jewelry projects?
Weren't they amazing?!!

It's so much fun to be able to mix & match designs and patterns & just create a piece of jewelry that goes so perfectly with an outfit.
Even little girls will have so much fun changing the magnets and wearing something new every day!

Today we are sharing some more stunning projects from our Design Team.

These Mani-top pieces are so much fun! I love that you can create custom jewelry pieces from fabric, patterned paper or even photos!

I used the Bracelet, Silver Plated Necklace and additional magni-top charms to create a bracelet and matching necklace. I made the Magni-top pieces with fabric and added additional pearls and jeweled beads to the bracelet.

Supplies: Imaginisce (Magni-top: necklace, Variety Pack, Bracelet); Other: fabric, pearls, beads

Before printing on the actual patterned paper (from my home computer & printer), I ran through a sample piece first so I could adjust the size. Next I affixed a small square of Makin' Waves patterned paper over the sampel area and ran through my printer again.

To give a glossy look (and to seal and protect from dirt) I covered the entire top with liquid glass embellishment accent.

Supplies: Imaginisce (Magni-top Silver Plated Necklace, i-top 2.0 tool, Large paper punch, Large Magnet Daddy, Makin' Waves Patterned paper); Other: Baker's Twine, May Arts Ribbon, Pearl Accent, Liquid Glass

I got my love of jewelry from my Grandma, and just like her, I would choose the eclectic look over diamonds and pearls any day. I love mixing and matching pieces and coming up with new ways to wear them.

For this necklace, I started by printing the cameo onto white paper. I punched the cameo out using the large Imaginisce paper punch, then used the my i-top and magnet daddies to make my own custom charm. I added the cameo charm to the necklace, then added bits and baubles here and there for a one of a kind necklace.

Supplies: Imaginisce (paper punch (large), i-top 2.0, magnet daddies (medium), Necklace); jump rings

Magni-top Jewelry - Day 1

Now, tell me ....

Who doesn't love jewelry?
It's one of my favorite accessories and I can't leave the house without wearing some kind of jewelry item. I've loved it since I was a little girl!

So when Imaginisce came out with the Magni-top jewelry collection to go along with the i-top tool I was thrilled ... as I'm sure many girls and women alike are!

During the next few days the Design Team will be showcasing eye-catching, jaw-dropping, gorgeous pieces of jewelry. Trust me ... these are stunning!!

But, before we get started we want to show you the Magni-top jewelry accessories that we have that go along with the i-top tool.

The Magni-top Earring kit.
The Magni-top Silver Plated Necklace.

The Magni-top Close Linked Necklace.
The Magni-top Bracelet.

And the Magni-top Pendant Variety Pack.

Alright! I can't wait any longer ... it time to show off these gorgeous pieces of jewelry now!!

I've always had ambitions of making jewelry and I've even bought some supplies, but I've always put it off. It seemed somewhat overwhelming and intimidating. So when the DT was challenged to use the fun Magni-top goodies we were sent I decided to go ahead and finally make some earrings. Believe me, I was pleasantly surprised.

Having the Magni-top supplies made it so easy - I used linen to make the main part and then my jewelry wire to lengthn the earrings by added a bead. And that was it! I like the combination of linen and crystal - makes for a shabby chic feel. These earrings have some sentimental value now, since they're the first I ever made!

Supplies: Imaginisce (Mangi-top earring kit, small magnet daddies, i-top 2.0, small i-top punch); Other: crystal beads, irish linen, jewelry wire cutters, jewelry wire

I've said before that friends are the best accessories but what girl can resist jewelry? I love to mix a bit of jewelry to turn an ordinary outfit into an extraordinary one. The new Magni-top jewelry is a great way to add variety to your jewelry collection. I love that you can create a new look using the same piece of jewelry simply by switching out the brads.

For my project today, I threaded the ribbon through the bracelet chain to give it a bit more chunkiness and then I added in a few charms that I got from my local craft store. I pulled out my magnet and button daddies and covered them with fabric using my i-top 2.0. I can't wait to make brads for all my kids activities!

Supplies: Imaginisce (i-top 2.0, Magni-top necklace & pendants, Magni-top variety pack, Magni-top bracelet, small button daddies, large magnet daddies); Misc: black ribbon, fabric; The Jewelry Shoppe Findings Round Jump Ring 6MM, Charm Me Crystal Bead Charms, Charm Me Trio Dangle Charm

I was so excited to play with the i-top and Imaginisce's new jewelry collection, that I kind of went a little crazy. I decided to make a whole jewelry set!

I covered the Magn-tops with fabric, paper, lace and added some Glam Rocks as well. The ring and bracelet I made using Snap Daddies. Now some lucky girl, perhaps my daughter, will be decked out in fabulous Imaginisce!

Supplies: Imaginisce (I-top 2.0, Magnet Daddies (16mm, 22mm, 28mm), 8mm Magni-top Earrings, 22 & 28mm Magni-top Necklace and Pendat, Charm Bracelet, i-top snap/rings, i-top medium snap daddies, Makin' Waves Paper, i-rock tool, i-rock Glam Rocks, i-rock Studs); Other: charms, fabric, lace

Thanks so much for joining us this past week!

Haven't the past few days been so inspiring with all the great teacher gift ideas?!
I know that I've found many ideas that I want to use for gifts as my children still have a few weeks left of school (which still gives me some time to create something!!)

We do hope that you found some ideas that you could use as well.

We would now like to share a project with you that we found on Scrapbook.com.
This is a fun birthday themed layout using our older birthday collection, B-day Bash.

Scrap4brains created this layout and we love the collection of candles tucked inside the pocket.
The candle-light glow in the photo works so well with the papers too.

Thanks for sharing your work online Scrap4brains!
Congrats on being spied!

We'd like to invite you to join us next week for a special feature - Magni-top Jewelry!!

Teacher Appreciation Week - Day 4

We've come to the final day of our Teacher Appreciation week.

But we do have a couple more projects to share with you today to wrap it all up.
You won't be disappointed as the Design Team gals have all done such a fabulous job. I know that I would love to have been a teacher & received these gifts - they're all beautiful and so thoughtful!

At my son's school, Teacher Appreciation Week really is celebrated the whole week, so it's fun coming up with little things each and every day. This was the favorite, and was also the easiest to make! I started with a rectangle of the orange chevron paper and printed "my teacher is" then matted with a rectangle of brown cardstock. Next I added sticker letters and used capitol letters so the A & W would stand out. To finish, I tied the tag on the 6-pack of rootbeer with matching ribbon.

Supplies: Imaginisce (Makin' Waves paper); May Arts (Ribbon); American Crafts (alpha letters); Bazzill (cardstock)

Give your child's teacher a gift card and candy bar in matching patterns as a set. An easy way to make a gift card holder? Open up and trace an existing card holder from a retailer and cut out by hand with scissors or your paper trimmer. I used the template from an Ann Taylor Loft gift card since it had multiple folds for extra creativity.

Supplies: Imaginisce (Hello Cupcake: papers, stickers, die-cuts); alpha stickers, gift card, candy bar

Thanks for joining us these past few days!!

Have you had a chance to take some of these ideas and create your own teacher gifts?
If so, please share your ideas and projects (using Imaginisce product) on our Facebook page. We'd love to see them!
(if you share ... you may just be the lucky i-spy feature tomorrow!!)

Teacher Appreciation Week - Day 3

Welcome back to Day 3 of our Teacher Appreciation week.
Hearing those simple words "thank you" can mean so much and today Rebecca & Adora are sharing some beautiful projects to express that exact sentiment.

I bought an inexpensive chalk board then found a paint can and bell from the Target Dollar spot. I added a bunch of pencils in the paint can. Then I decorated everything with the Geek is Chic line, some denim Roly Rosies, Fabric Flowers and i-top brads. The Imaginisce die-cuts and Sticker Stackers make it very easy to alter items into fun gifts.

Supplies: Imaginisce (Geek is Chic: papers, die-cuts, sticker stackers, i-top brad, i-top 2.0 tool, fabric flowers, Roly Rosies (denim)

Here's to all the teachers out there, who pick a profession that devotes their lives to giving our children the tools to succed in their future. THANK YOU!! I made this "Thank You" card with bookmarks insert. (Note: on the bookmark I cut a 5" x 1 1/2" acrylic to put on top of the paper for a more polished look.

Supplies: Imaginisce (Berrylicious & Hello Cupcake: papers; i-top 2.0 tool, i-top brad daddy medium size, i-top paper punch); other (clear scraps acrylic, Jillian Vance Design Stamp, Martha Stewar Bird Punch and The Twinery)

We just want to remind you once again about our i-spy feature this coming Friday!!
Would you like to be featured???

Well, then please share what kinds of projects you've been working on for the teachers in your life. You can share your pictures on our Facebook page. (note: we're looking for projects with Imaginisce product)

Teacher Appreciation Week - Day 2

Sometimes finding or making the perfect gift for a teacher is not as easy as we'd like it to be. Especially when we're not sure of their interests or likes. However, a simple 'thank you' is often the best gift of all and today we have two more of our designers sharing gift/thanks ideas that are perfect for any teacher!

My son has multiple teachers at his pre-school so I wanted to make something that was both fun & fast. I made a card that I could easily duplicate using papers from the Geek is Chic collection.

I thought it would be fun to include a photo I took of my son on the very first day of school so his teachers could see how much he has grown. I plan on tucking a gift card to a coffee house or local market as a thank you for teaching him so much about his little world.

Supplies: Imaginsce (Geek is Chic: papers); Cardstock (Solar White- Neenah; Ocean Tide, Hawaiian Shores; New leaf - PTI); American Crafts (Date stamp)

I made an apple shaped gift container. I used a star punch to create the stars but I also used it to create the dovetail on the ends of the streamers!! I love how all the dotted papers from different lines of Imaginisce work together to mix & match!

Supplies: Imaginisce (Hello Cupcake: papers; Makin' Waves: papers; small i-top brad, i-top 2.o tool); Core'dinations (cardstock); The Twinery (twine)

Are you planning on making a gift for a teacher this year? If so, what are you making? We'd love to hear and see your projects so please feel free to share your ideas with us on our Facebook page.
(we may just feature you on our i-spy this coming Friday!!)

Thanks for joining us today and we want to invite to stop by again tomorrow for more teacher gift ideas.

Teacher Appreciation Week - Day 1

Teachers play such a significant role in our children's lives and with the school season coming to a close we often like to shower them with gifts and gratitude for all that they have done over the past year.

Today we want to share with you some great gift ideas to honor these special individuals.
(We also want to remind you to hop on over to the designers blogs as they share more photos and details about their projects.)

My daughter had a great teacher this year that always made sure good behavior was noted and rewarded. I heard from my daughter that kids sometimes got Smarties for good behavior or being "smart", but that the teacher recently ran out.

So I decided to make a treat jar that she could have on her desk that would be cute and useful, and I filled it to the brim with some more Smarties. This is a big plastic jar that housed almonds originally. I had it sitting around for a week or two, just waiting for the right project to come along.

Supplies: Imaginisce (Hello Cupcake: Papers, die-cuts, canvas stickers); Maya Road (trim); October Afternoon (Boldletter stickers); other (recycled plastic jar, candy)

I work at all the schools in our district and the staff often needs notecards for each other or parents, etc. I decided to gift a teacher friend with a card set. A sweet little box with four adorable cards inside and the box is reusuable!

Supplies: Imaginisce (Geek is Chic: papers, die-cuts); other (white cardstock); The Twinery (twine); Paper Smoothes (sentiment stamp); clear plastic sheet

We hope that you inspired by today's projects to create some gifts for the teachers in you & your child's life.

We would love to hear what you've been creating for a teacher or if you have a project created already please share it with us on our Facebook page.
We may just feature you on our i-spy this Friday!!

Hello Cupcake Release Party - Day 4

Welcome back to our final day of our release party for Hello Cupcake!
Have you enjoyed this collection??
So many fun & exciting elements to this release that we're super excited about it too.

Here's a look at the Sticker Stackers and other stickers in the collection.

Surprise Sticker Stacker

Good Times Sticker Stacker

Oh Happy Day Chipboard Sticker

Cake & Ice Cream Canvas Sticker

Now let's take a look at some more fabulous projects by our Design Team.

I used an inexpensive premade Banner from Hobby Lobby, which included 12 panels sewn together. I cut the banner in half; decorating the first six and then glueing the plain banners to the backs after finishing.

By doing this, it hid the back-stitching from my sewing machine and made the entire banner sturdier! I cut out the letters and scallop circles with an SVG file and embellished with the adorable Sticker Stackers and die-cuts from Hello Cupcake.

By taking a simple 6x6 sheet of patterned paper, I made these cute and functional goodie bags! Hint: Score your top at 1" and fold over to showcase the other pattern; trim with handmade crepe fringe or other trim. Bags measure 2.75"W x 5" H. And not many projects get by me these days without using the i-top punches to create whimsical embellishments.

Hello Cupcake is such a fun line for any celebration project! My layout includes several fun patterned papers, chipboard and diecuts. I love all the happy extras on this page, including my clueless nephew ... poor kid.

The birthday gift box and card set features these yummy little cupckaes and colorful papers from the 6x6 pad. I'm a big fan of bright color combined with kraft and I also added trim from May Arts and Canvas Corp.

Sending birthday cards has always been an important thing for me to do. As a birthday is someone's special day - and day just to celebrate them!
I decided to create a simple styled birthday card with this collection and used some patterned papers, chipboard embellishment, May Arts ribbon and white glam rocks.

Last summer my dad celebrated his birthday very low key. He didn't want a big celebration and that will be happening this year!! However, I did take my kids by their house after school along with a cake and we celebrated kid-fun style!! Totally made his day! (... and the kids had fun too!)

Hello Cupcake Release Party - Day 3

Looks like many of you are quite excited about those Snag'em stamps for this collection!
Well, we've got some more to show you today ...

Wish Come True Die-cuts

6x6 Paper Pad

Once again, the Design Team have many more projects to celebrate this release.
So let's take a look at them!

I just loved working with all the fun patterns and prints in this collection and the deep rich colors. I love using striped paper to make rosette flowers and this collection includes a great stripe too. And don't forget about the cardstock die-cut pack - it's full of fun elements and titles (such as the one I used for the title of this layout!. Those die-cut party hats are perfect for putting on someone's head. I used the red polka-dot shet from the 6x6 paper pad - those little things are so versatile!

If you want to add a slightly more edgy, funky look to this cute paper, it's very easy to do with a little bit of paint splatter and some random washi tape. The bold and bright colors work well with any style and the neutral B-sides make is easy to layer.

This is a photo of my brother and his son at a family birthday party. I loved how the Hello Cupcake colors and theme worked perfectly for capturing some special father and son moments!

I had this chipboard door hanger for a while and when I got my Hello Cupcake collection I finally had a great use for it! I created this so we could put it on the door handle of the special birthday person in our house. My boys will have so much fun with a tradition like this!

I found the cutest tutorial on splitcoast for a "beanie cap" and modified the design a bit to become a party style.

I thought it would be fun to use an i-top brad daddy to hinge the hat and some of our cute Imaginisce flowers were used as the tassel for the hat.

Party Hat (with free template)
Everybody needs a party hat to celebrate their big day. Try this one on for size! Made with the new Imaginisce Hello Cupcake collection, a bit of trim and a template with step x step instructions available for download on Heather's blog. The honoree is sure to feel special!

Gift Bag
Whether you're celebrating a birthday or any other special event, it's easy to dress up a simple bag. Heather used a Kraft lunch bag and dolled it up with doilies, punches, ribbon and lace. This is sure to make someone's day happy.

This collection grabbed my attention right away. The bright, fun cherry colors just ring PARTY! So, I had a little fun and created this layout of my super sweet boy on his birthday and this cute little Ribbon Favor Box. This collection makes it so easy to make birthday celebrations into fun memories.

If you follow us you know the drill.
We just can't have a release party without 'releasing' a collection to one lucky follower!!

So our giveaway this week is ...

A collection pack of Hello Cupcake.

Hello Cupcake Release Party - Day 2

Did you enjoy yesterday's projects? Weren't they fabulous?
Wanna see some more and keep celebrating with us?
Of course you do!!!

Here's a look at the Snag 'em stamps in the Hello Cupcake collection.

Balloon

Cake
Cupcake

Gift

Happy Birthday
Ice Cream

Alright.
Let's keep the celebration going with more fabulous projects
from our Design Team!!

For this fun little birthday banner, I used the 6x6 paper pad. I cut 3 pieces of paper into a triangle shape and 2 into a banner shape. The diecuts are perfect to add as embellishments, along with some tule and ribbon.

I enlarged a photo to be front & center on this layout, and made my own little banner using patterned paper, cardstock and twine.

A birthday card is quick and easy to put together with a few left over scraps and sticker stackers!

For the layout, Hello Cupcake was perfect for a picture of my son bringing in cupcakes to his preschool class for his birthday. I used a large Imaginisce die-cut - they make great big eye catching titles!

I cut the large cupcake out with my Cameo and filled some of the holes with glitter glue and others with i-tock gems. I fussy cut the little sprinkles under the picture to mark his fifth birthday.

For the card, I again used my Cameo for the card cut. I used one of the Imaginisce popped up journaling stickers inside the card for the greeting and to give me a place to sign the card.

I created this pop-up card with papers, die-cuts and stickers from the Hello Cupcake collection. I stamped the "Happy Birthday" Snag 'em stamp inside the pop-up window.

The little presents were actually carefully peeled off a larger stickers, which is something that I like to do if I don't need the whole thing of a pre-fabricated element!

This layout is of my son's fourth birthday. His biggest wish was for a backhoe cake and I wasn't sure I could make his wish come true, but he seemed happy with the result! I was thrilled to see all the fun, bright colors in the Hello Cupcake collection.

I combined several die-cuts and stickers together to form the title, which was exactly what I wanted and such a time-saver! I also included a little envelope to hold extra photos from his special day.

For the journaling across the pennants, I first printed the text on card stock and then trimmed the pennants by hand.

This collection is so much fun. Great for both girls and boys layouts and more. I created this layout of my neice's birthday.

I love the fun prints and bright colors. It's perfect for this project.

Here's a look at the papers in this fun collection, Hello Cupcake.

Cheers

Now let's take a look and see what some of our Design Team gals have created because they've been having way too much fun lately!

Tiffany Hood

Tiffany created this stunning birthday card with the cake tilted on its' side
and fabulous stitching all around.

She also created a double paged layout using the Hello Cupcake collection to celebrate her son's recent 6th birthday. He was so excited to blow out so many candles on his cake!

Ro Philippsen

Ro said .... "Hello Cupcake Collection is a party! This collection is amazing, with lovely colors and beautiful designs. Just perfect for creating layouts and other projects because it is joyful and festive. The possibilities are many because the color combination is just perfect."

We just love this pinwheel that she embellished her card with.
The patterned papers make them so eye-catching!

Diana Fisher

This year, I continue the tradition of making a badge for my son to wear on his birthday. The Hello Cupcake line was perfect in making a badge that is very "birthday" and perfect for a little boy.

The embellishments in this set are perfect for making cards! Combined with the papers, your cards will be fun & whimsical.

My son will turn 6 in a few days, so this collection was very timely for me. I had been wanting to take some posted pictures to mark the occasion and the Hello Cupcake collection was the perfect excuse to make a layout with the pictures.

If you follow us you know the drill.
We just can't have a release party without 'releasing' a collection to one lucky follower!!

Day 4

Thanks again for joining us today!
If you missed the first 3 days of our blog swap with Canvas Corp this week please make sure to check them out.

Sadly ... today is our last day of the fun & fabulous swap.
But don't dismay ...
we still have a few more awesome projects to share with you today!

This project was a lot of fun to make. I love this printer's tray by 7 Gypsies for Canvas Corp. It's a fun way to create home decor.
For this project I used the Happy Harvest collection by Imaginisce, as well as many different products by Canvas Corp.

I cut their 12x12 burlap page into smaller pieces for some of the sections, and I used one of their great canvas tags under the "fall" chipboard piece. I also used their fun mini clothespins in red & green, several types of twine, thread and string, and the waxed cord in red for the corn.

I think Happy Harvest and these items from Canvas Corp were made to go together!

Supplies used: Imaginisce (Happy Harvest collection); Canvas Corp (7 Gypsies printer's tray, canvas page, canvas tags, mini clothespins (red & green), twine, thread, string, waxed corn (red)

I made this sweet little shadowbox for my Mom. Growing up, Gene Autry was the "singing cowboy movie star" that everyone loved! My Mom still likes to tell the story about the day she and her sister got to meet him and have their picture taken with him. This is such a treasured picture to her, I knew she would love this remembrance of that day back in 1940.

To start, I gave the shadowbox a light coat of white paint. After it dried, I sanded it just a bit so some of the original brown color would show through. I cut the burlap square to fit, and hot glued it inside the shadowbox. Next I stitched around both canvas stars with embroidery floss. I then added the red canvas flower, a canvas star, a denim roly rosie and an i-top button covered with burlap. I hot glued the rope and the other canvas star before adding the photo. I finished by adding journaling strips.

Supplies used: Imaginisce (Denim Roly Roises, i-top 2.0 tool, i-top button); Canvas Corp (Shadowbox, canvas stars, burlap square, red canvas flower, rope); Other: white paint, sand paper, hot glue, embroidery floss

I used the 12x12 canvas Fabricpage to create a layout about my son's favorite zoo animals. I love the rustic look and paired it with some patterned paper from the Happy Harvest collection for my color scheme and page title, which on some Canvas Corp burlap. After spritzing some color on canvas, I made some fun canvas brads with the i-top tool, accented my photos with colored gems and the i-rock and 'stitched' with some Canvas Cord!

Supplies used: Imaginisce (Happy Harvest collection, Metallic Hot Rocks, Brad Daddies, i-rock tool, d-stress, i-top 2.0); Canvas Corp (canvas cord, canvas Fabricpage, canvas tags, Burlap, Red Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist); Other: large eyelets (Making Memories), Crop-a-dile, dies (alphabet - Papertrey Ink), Cardstock (Stampin'Up)

Day 3

Hasn't this been an inspiring couple of days?!
We're just loving all the Canvas Corp/Imaginisce projects and we sure hope that you are too!

We've got another great line-up for you today!

I used the Canvas Corp burlap bag as my base. I used a mask on the Canvas Corp with Tattered Angels mist. I strung some of the brown Canvas Corp cord across the top and adhered the pennants directly to the burlap with the Imaginisce i-bond (I inserted a piece of cardboard into the bag so it would not be glued closed).

I made some small i-top brads with Makin' Waves and poked them through the burlap.

I adhered the large Canvas Corp flower with the i-bond, made an extra large i-top button and glued it right onto the flower, then curled some of the brown cord and adhered that around the flower for stems.
Supplies used: Imaginisce (Makin Waves paper, i-top 2.0, small brad daddies, XL button, i-bond tool); Canvas Corp (canvas bag, Tattered Angels, brown cord, flower)

When I noticed that the canvas fabricpage was actually two pieces of canvas sewn together, I got the idea right away to create a decorative pillow.
I added pillow fluff, a canvas flower, fabric Roly Rosies, iron-on bling and canvas pieces spritzed with Glimmer Mists to create the leaves and i-top flower center.

Supplies used: Imaginisce (i-top 2.0 tool, i-top punch, petal roller, Fabric Roly Rosies, iron bling motif, i-rock mini iron); Canvas Corp (canvas pages, canvas minis, canvas flower, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists); Misc: Floss, thread, red jewels

Heather altered this canvas bag with a variety of fabric flowers, paint, a stencil & Tattered Angels mist. She used the mist on her the altered yellow flower & the burlap brad (which she created using the i-top 2.0 and an XL brad daddie). For a more details and a brief tutorial make sure to hop on over to Heather's blog.

Supplies used: Imaginsce (i-top 2.0 tool and XL Brad Daddie, flower); Canvas Corp (canvas bag, burlap, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist); fabric

Day 2

Welcome back for another day of fabulous creations!
Our designers each received a variety of products from Canvas Corp and
each of them have created such beautiful projects.

Let's take a look at today's projects.

I love the pretty handmade cards and embellishments, so I decided to combine the two and make this cute purse gift card set. With the perfect papers and flowers from Imaginisce and the fun canvas, fabric, cards and envelopes from Canvas Crop ... this is what I came up with.

Supplies used: Imaginisce (Sole Sisters paper, Makin' Waves paper, Roly Rosies, Fashion Flowers, i-top Brad Daddies, i-top 2.0 tool); Canvas Corp (yellow flower, canvas minis, burlap, leveler fabric page, chipboard, envelopes, Glimmer Mist, Black Cord)

I am a fan of asymetrical designs & just love the feel of it. On this layout I laid out my background papers off to the center and added clusters of embellishments on the side to balance the whole page.

Supplies used: Imaginisce (Makin' Waves collection: papers, die cuts); Canvas Corp (Chocolate Waxed Cord, clothspins, burlap canvas tag, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist); Hampton Art Stamp

What little girl wouldn't want to play dress up with this little canvas purse?
The center is a Badge Daddy, which means you can make other centers and change them out for a new look each time.
Supplies used: Imaginisce (i-top 2.0 tool and Medium Brad Daddy); Canvas Corp (canvas mini purse, pink canvas flower); fabric

A nice shadowbox makes a great keepsake and gift
(especially with Mother's Day around the corner!)
Supplies used: Imaginisce (Happy Harvest: papers, die cut "memories"; Sole Sisters: die cut frame, Medium Snap Daddies); Canvas Corp (Canvas minis (Diamond shape), red clothespins, kraft envelope); Other: wooden spool, twine fabric, fern green Maya Mist

Day 1

Welcome!!!!

We're so excited about this week because we're teaming up

If you have never heard of this amazing company before here is a brief description of who they are.

Canvas Corp, based out of Springdale, Akansas, is led by Randy and Christine Meier. Canvas Corp manufactures and distributes a line of craft, scrapbooking and home decor basics under the brand name Canvas Home Basics. Established in 2006, Canvas Corp made its entry into the market with a focus on products that offer great basic solutions for the craft and home decor markets. Joining the Canvas Corp umbrella of brands was BagWorks and 7gypsies in 2011 and the newest member of the brand team is Tattered Angels who joined in 2012.

********

Throughout this week as we share our projects with you Canvas Corp will also be sharing projects on their blog as well. So please make sure to check them out!

Now let's see what some of the DT members have created.

Greetings! I was lucky to receive one of my favorite home decor crafty items, a 7 Gypsies artist's tray from Canvas Corp. This style is a new configuration for me and the soft chocolate color made me immediately reach for my Bon Voyage collection from Imaginisce

This is going to be a gift for my husband. These are photos of him taken on his favorite trail back home. When we were visiting last fall I made sure to take a few shots and I'm glad that I did. Since they were distant images they really worked well to fit into this tray!

Supplies used: Imaginisce (Bon Voyage collection: papers, canvas stickers, sticker stackers and die cuts; i-rock tool, Hot Rock Crystal Compact, Foam Tape & POGO adhesives); Canvas Corp (7 Gypsies Artist Tray, Hemp, Bakers Twine); Adhesive (Glue Glider Pro by Glue Arts); Ink (Ranger)

I wanted to make a couple of cards to give to kids who have summer birthdays (typically paired with a pool party). I loved the long skinny cards we got from Canvas Corp, and the Tattered Angel Glimmer Mists. I thought they would make a great pair.
The black hemp cord added the perfect accent to bring out the bright colors from the Imaginisce papers and stickers that I used.

Boy Card
Supplies used: Imaginisce (Makin' Waves collection (Canvas Stickers), i-top tool, small brad daddies); Canvas Corp ("Skinny Cards" 4x9", burlap star, black cord, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist); Other: Lace (Kaisercraft), Letter stickers (My Little Shoebox), Mask (Crafter's Workshop), Border punch (Martha Steward Crafts), ink (Cat's Eye Liquid Chalk

Girl Card
Supplies used: Imaginisce (Makin' Waves & Berrylicious: canvas stickers, i-rock tool, I-rock Glitter Heat-Set Studs); Canvas Corp ("Skinny Cards" 4x9" paper, black cord, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist); Other: lace (Prima Marketing), Letter stickers (My Little Shoebox), Maks (Crafter's Workshop), Ink (Cat's Eye Liquid Chalk)

Headband
My daughter is in a "the bigger, the better" headband phase so I knew she'd love the gorgeous canvas flower for a headband. It was very easy to put together. I punched a small hole through the large flower, then paired it with a smaller sheer flower from Imaginisce, and added it to the headband, attaching with a large twist-daddy top that I covered with Imaginisce paper. I then cut the center out of an iron-on flower, and ironed it onto the middle.

Supplies used: Imaginisce (silk flower, i-top 2.0 tool, i-top Twist Daddy Headband & Large Twist Daddy, Makin' Waves paper, I-rock Iron-on rhinestone Flower and mini iron); Canvas Corp (canvas flower); Other: hole punch

#1: "Owl Bag"
I folded the 12x12 Burlap Sheet in half and simply freehand cut the owl shape!
I used the Roly Rosies (Denim) and the i-top brad daddies to create the eyes.
Supplies used: Imaginisce (i-rock tool, i-rock Hot Rocks & Glam Rocks, Iron-on motif, Sole Sisters tag, Fabric Roly Rosies (denim); small brad daddies, XL brad daddies, Hybrid Petal Roller, i-rock Mini Iron, i-top 2.0 tool and topper templates); Canvas Corp (Canvas Flat Tote; Canvas Red Flower, Canvas Minis (star), Mini Clothespins (red); jute, burlap sheet, burlap minis (star), Tattered Angels Mist (Be Mine), Canvas); Miscellaneous (Buttons, baker's twine and fabric)

#2: "Best Friends" Container
Shellye used a card shape to create this darling container. Here's a quick run-down of what she did to create it.
Open card: score at 2 inches on each side of fold: fold to resemble a sour cream container ... more details on her blog.
Supplies used: Imaginisce (Sole Sisters papers, chipboard stickers & Die-cuts, i-rock glitter gems, POGO adhesive and i-rock tool); Canvas Corp (Zebra Striped Skinny Card, Black & white Baker's Twine)

April Guest Designer - Day 2 & Giveaway!

Did you have an enjoyable weekend?
We certainly hope so and we're thrilled that you've joined us this Monday.

We've got some more incredible projects to finish off the month of April from our talented April Guest Designer, Christine Ousely.

Before we share more of her projects we had a few more questions to ask Christine.

Q: Where do you like to create?
A: I like to create in my scraproom. I have a beautiful room with lots of storage and tables. It's just comfy!

Q: What inspires you?
A: I'm inspired by new techniques, tools and paper.

Q: What kinds of projects do you prefer to create?
A: I am in more of a scrapbook phase right now. I still have so many pictures to scrapbook and with the birth of my youngest son this year I feel the need to stay ahead of the game. But I also love to create cards and make several a week.

Q: What is your favorite Imaginisce product right now?
A: My favorite Imaginisce product right now is the iRock. I just got one and I love it!! I didn't realize how easy it was use and can't wait to dazzle up my cards and scrapbook pages.

Well, hopefully that has helped you to get to know a little bit more about Christine!

She wowed us with her first set of projects and she's going to do it
again so hold on tight!
Here we go!

*******
Wow, with summer right around the corner, these Making Waves papers and embellishments are just what you need for all your playing in the water pictures. Bright colored and fun - I have so much fun creating with them!

Hot Summer Days Layout
On my layout I used many of the Making Waves Sun-Kissed Die-cuts. I popped them up with foam squares from Imaginisce for added dimension.

Looking at the close up of the sun, you can see the glossy accents on parts of the shape. This is such a cool element to Imaginisce's papers and embellishment. Another thing I loved about this collection is the "B" sides of the papers. The small prints worked so well with the icon paper to give my layout interest and contrast.

In this Sun-kissed Die Cuts are many large titles that can be used on your layouts.

Life's A Beach Card

I just love the cute little Snag Em' stamps that accompany each of Imaginisce's collections. For my card, I stamped the sand castle image three times across the white cardstock and then colored them in with Copic markers. I also added a cloud background with my Copic markers. The sentiment is a SRM Sticker which was stuck to the white cardstock. I adhered the card base to the Imaginisce patterned paper Surf's Up! and then took some scraps of pattern paper and cut them into banner shapes. The starfish is from the Sunny Side Up Sticker Stacker sheet. I was able to peel off the embellishment easily from the base and placed it on my card. A little strip of Keepin' Cool patterned paper and my beach scene was created!

Supplies used: Imaginisce (Making Waves stamps, papers and embellishments); SRM Stickers (Sentiment); Copic Markers; Momento ink; Papertrey Ink (white cardstock)

Beach Party Invitation

I'm not really sure what my obsession with party invitations has been about lately but I am sure having fun making them. (See my last guest designer project for Imaginisce here). My youngest is turning one this summer so maybe party decor is just on my creative brain. I really want to come up with something fun for his big occasion.

My invitation/card was created using some of the beautiful Making Waves paper and the fun Sun-kissed Die Cuts. Have I told you how much I love the die cuts in this collection yet? Well I do! They are so cute!! I thought that this little guy would be great for a boy's beach party theme character. I simply decorated the card front with some patterned paper so that he would be the focal point. I also used the foam squares to pop him up over the starfish to give the scene depth.

Supplies used: Imaginisce (Making Waves stamps, papers and embellishments); SRM Stickers (Invitation wording); May Arts (Ribbon)

In this picture you can see the invitation part of the card. I cut a tag from the Surf's Up patterned paper and then stuck the SRM Sticker on it. The details of the party can then be written on the sticker. I used the May Arts ribbon to embellish my tag. I think it is the perfect color and pattern for these papers.

Inside the card, the tag is held by a cute little pocket made from patterned paper and embellished with a sandcastle die cut.

So there you have it. Examples of how you can you use the Making Waves collection for cards and eye catching invitations. I know the bright and fun patterns will inspire you as much as they have me. Thanks again for having me as the Guest designer for April. It's been great fun sharing my projects with you.

May Guest Designer - Day 2 & GIveaway

Welcome back to another day with our special Guest Designer.

We have a few more questions that we wanted to ask Sarah so let's take a look & see how she answered them.

Q: What inspires you?
A: I think I am mostly inspired by other scrappers! There is so much available online for inspiration including scrapbook websites, blogs and online magazines. I love spending time in the Studio Calico member gallery and have always been a number one fan of Two Peas in a Bucket.

Q: What kind of projects do you prefer to create?
A: I am solely a scrapbook layout scrapper. I do make the occasional card but am not a "project" maker and never do anything with home decor. I started out as an 8.5 x 11 scrapper but now find that 99% of my layouts are 12x12 in size.

Q: What is your favorite Imaginisce product right now?
A: As you can tell by my layouts I am in love with their fun die cut packs! So many shapes and fun pictures and titles! I can't get enough of them. I also their Colored Foam Tape. The adhesive comes in different lengths and sizes and give just the right amount of pop to any element on a layout.

Sarah has created another awesome layout using the "Hello Cupcake" collection
to share with us today!

"Hello Cupcake"

For my youngest sons 9th birthday we ha a special little cupcake made just for him! Of course there had to be plenty of frosting because we all know that is the best part! The "Hello Cupcake" line came through once again!

  • I started with a brown cardstock background and added a cut down sheet of the "Wish Big" paper from the "Hello Cupcake" line.
  • I then cut down a piece of white cardstock and centered it in the center of my pattern paper.
  • Using a scallop punch I created a scallop border from the "Cheers" pattern paper and sewed it at the top of my white cardstock.
  • I then added the "Hello Cupcake" title die cut (From the the "Wish Come True" die cut pack)
  • I cut a strip of the orange paper from the Birthday Hooray paper and added it under my title.
  • I pop dotted the smiling cupcake die cut (from the "Wish Come True" die cut pack) next to my title and overlapping the strip of orange paper
  • I added three 2x3 pictures under my title treatment.
  • I then added a strip of the "Birthday Hooray" pattern paper under my pictures, sewing it down.
  • Lastly I added my journaling strip, sewed just below my title and above my pictures.
Supplies used: Imaginisce (Hello Cupcake collection: Wish Big, Birthday Hooray, Cheers, Wish Come True Die Cuts)

And here is one last fabulous layout by Sarah.

We hope that you have enjoyed seeing Sarah's work these last 2 days.

May Guest Designer - Day 1 & Giveaway

We are thrilled to have a very talented scrapbooker joining us this
month as Guest Designer.

Please help us in welcoming ...

"Born in raised in the town I still live in I am a 40 something scrapper who still feels like I am in my 20’s! I have two boys (Max, 14 and Harrison, 9) who are my main scrapping inspiration! I love photography and have been having fun with Adobe actions and playing with my photos.

I have been scrapping close to 12 years and have evolved my style somewhat but have remained pretty true to myself.

I have been on several design teams over the years but am currently enjoying scrapping as a hobby – although I do still submit to the magazines and enjoy seeing my work in print."

*******

We asked Sarah a few questions to help us get to know her even better.

Q: Favorite TV shows?
A: Biggest Loser, Coming Home, Chopped, Restaurant Impossible, Dance Moms

Q: Diet or Regular?
A: Diet Pepsi/Regular Coke

Q: If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?
A: I truly love it where I am. Small town, close to family and great friends!

Q: How did you get into scrapbooking? Describe your style.
A: It all started with a Creative Memories beginning scrapbooking class at least 12 years ago. From that day on I was hooked! My style has changed over the last 12 years and today I would be considered a 'simple' scrapper. I use a lot of neutral cardstock backgrounds, sewing and simple embellishments.

Q: Where do you like to create?
A: I have a big scrapping desk in my bedroom but prefer to scrap sitting on the floor in front of the TV in the family room! I have probably only been to a "crop" 3 times in all the years I have been scrapping. I do like to do it at home so I have all my supplies (and sewing machine) close on hand.

*******

We gave Sarah the new Hello Cupcake collection to play with.
(We will be having a release party for this in a couple of weeks so make sure to join us as the Design Team has been working hard on their creations!)

Here's what Sarah created!

"Horray"

I love these pictures of our good friends little boy at his first birthday party. He was a little unsure of all the attention and noise but looked so adorable in his birthday crown. I knew the Imaginisce "Hello Cupcake" line would be perfect for scrapping these pictures from his day!

  • I started with a brown/white cardstock background.
  • I cut different size strips of paper from the Imaginisce "Hello Cupcake" line (Birthday Horray, Let's Party, and Party Time) and included the "Hooray" title from the "Wish Come True" die cut pack. I sewed the strips across the top of my page.
  • Using a small hole punch I created confetti by punching the colored circles out of the Party Time paper and sprinkling them across the page.
  • I added two 2x3 pictures under my title and cut strips of paper. I also cut a strip of the orange paper from the Birthday Hooray paper and added it under my pictures.
  • Last I added computer journaling that I printed off from the computer and sewed down.
Supplies used: Imaginisce (Hello Cupcake collection: Let’s Party 12x12 paper, Birthday Hooray 12x12 paper, Party Time 12x12 paper, Wish Come True Die Cuts)

"Make a Wish"

My son recently turned 14 and we make a really big deal about having a birthday cake, singing two birthday songs, and blowing out the candles! We also have number candles that represent the age as well! Fun traditions are definitely worthy of scrapping. Of course the "Hello Cupcake" line was perfect to use!
  • I started with a kraft/white background.
  • My starting point was cutting a strip of green from the Birthday Hooray paper and centering it near the top of my page and sewing it down.
  • I then added two 2x3 pictures, slightly staggered.
  • I pop dotted the "Make a Wish" title from the "Wish Come True" die cut pack under the first picture.
  • I then cut several strips of pattern paper from the "Hello Cupcake" line (Cheers, Let's Party and Party Time). After shaping the strips into a banner look I adhered them under my pictures and title, placing the smallest strip over the bigger two and sewing down.
  • I pop dotted the smiling candle from the "Wish Come True" die cut pack over the "I" in my title.
  • Lastly I hand cut a large photo corner from the Wish Big piece of paper and sewed it down on the top right corner of my layout.
  • Lastly I added my journaling strips and date and added some spatters of white paint on the edges of my layout and over some of the pattern paper pieces.
Supplies used: Imaginisce (Hello Cupcake collection: Let's Party, Birthday Hooray, Cheers, Party Time, Wish Big, Wish Come True die cuts)
