*Color Palette Inspiration Challenge*

My challenge to you is to use this color palette board as inspiration for a page! You can use the colors, the shapes or anything you find inspiring about it! I have some ideas and hope to play with it this week! There are no prizes involved but I hope this provides some motivation to you, especially if you use these bright colors on a grey winter day! You can link your pages to this challenge until January 31st.

Young Scrappers - September Challenge

There has been a lot inspiring me lately and you all know that I've been playing with digital a little bit. So, I've decided to challenge you during September. At the end, there will be a surprise RAK from me to you! Complete one, any or all of the following challenges and upload to the gallery. Make sure you check the September YS Challenge box when you upload and I'll draw a random winner and post on Friday October 1st! Have fun and lets see some creating!

* Use patterned paper as the background of your page (no cardstock or solid papers)

* Use a layout from the digital gallery as inspiration (color, style, or scraplift it)

* Make something with Christmas supplies! I love Christmas and can't wait for December! After seeing all the new Christmas lines, lets see what we can do with our stash before we buy all the new releases!

Here is my take on the second challenge. Here is the original layout...(by Jennifer1593)

and here is the layout that I made...

*Young Scrappers - June 6th Sketch*

The challenge this week is to use a sketch! Pretty simple! So many of you do this all the time and I personally have a whole notebook of sketches. Use one you've had sitting around or go find a new one (most sketches can be done for prizes on the website you find them at!) Have fun!

Blog Post

One Step Forward, One Step Back

Blogging has commenced, although I'm considering using the Google based blogs that I have seen other people use. I have no idea how to put pictures, links, layout, or anything on Two Peas. I have asked for help so we will see what I can figure out.

Taking pictures of my layouts failed miserably. I figured I couldn't use flash because it made my pictures shiny but then without flash a lot of the pictures turned out blurry. I did what I could but when I got them on my computer, they all looked terrible. Then when I did try to upload to my layout gallery, I couldn't get anything to up.

I have found challenges that I want to follow. BOS, Sketch This!, 101 Things You Can Do With Your Scrapbook Supplies, Page Maps, Multi-photo Challenge, Debt Free Divas, and Pokey Peas. These are my interests right now so I will try to follow two or three of them and then see how that goes. I'm really excited about this so I can get some motivation!

And...I now have a full counter top to put in my basement! (if I ever get it cleaned out) Right now the basement is all cement walls and dirty and still has tools from the remodel all over. But, my mom and dad had a counter top put in our basement at home at desk level for us kids to do homework and crafts on when we were little. Now that we're all older and not living at home they want to take it out. Mom said last night that I could have it! It is an L shape and is about 6 feet long on both sides. So, I am completely envisioning a scrap space that will totally be all girly and my alone time spot.

One step forward, one step back. Hopefully I get my layout problems solved and I will be one happy camper.

Thinking About Goals...

My First Blog
After discovering Two Peas in a Bucket, my free time has been filled with nothing but scouring the site for ideas, inspiration, challenges (also a new concept to me), new products and all sorts of fun stuff. I decided that I needed to blog. I also decided there are many other things related to scrapping that I want to accomplish so here is my list of goals:
1.     Blog
2.     Take pictures of all of my layouts that are already done and upload
3.     Find a handful of blogs/challenges to follow regularly
(this gives me motivation and inspiration)
4.     Get my basement cleaned and semi-finished so that I have a place to scrapbook other than the dining room table
