We're feeling just a wee bit water logged here in California after riding out the Pinapple Express. Yea I know, I giggled too when I heard that's what they were calling this downpour. I know compared to all you weather experts in the mid west and back east we seem like sissies but this much rain this fast is terrible!
Just ask designers Erin and Shemaine...Erin's roof is leaking and Shemaine's got video to prove how leaky her bay window in the living room is...but regardless of the rain we're still in the mood for a little Harmony...
Here's some beautiful projects by Carol
First a cute card
and an amazing layout with a masking tape technique
close up of masking tape...so nicely done!
another beautiful layout
amazing detail here!
and another beautiful card
Now we have some Harmony projects from Aphra
Her attention to detail amazes me
beautiful added accents of twine and bling really make these chipboard accents stand out.
Love this layered flower and design
This close up really shows the detail
Did I mention that she also has a great sense of humor?? Love this fun layout. Can you hear the hawaiian drums a rollin?
and a closer look at the title
and a beautiful card to finish today off! I personally love this collection and these ladies have really done a beautiful job. Be sure and leave them a comment letting them know which project you enjoyed the most.

It's day 12 and we're creating Home Decor
Hello friends and thanks for joining us for Day 12 of our Holly Jolly Holidays!! It's been 11 days of fabulous projects from our very talented design team and today Shemaine is back with a cute home decor idea:
When I am crunched for cash during the holidays I always know my family prefers home made gifts. My mom still proudly displays all of my handmade ornaments from my college days on her tree.
This year I decided a nice holiday themed shadow box would be nice for her to hang on the wall by the tree.
Find an inexpensive shadow bow and line it with your pattern paper like I did here.
Then add a layer of color for the back ground
and use pop dots to pop your photo off the page
add some extra's to the outside of the box like I did with a plastic snowflake and snowman die.
To finish him off I added a felt ball and some glitter on his scarf
Thanks to Shemaine for the easy home decor idea. We'd love to hear your home decor ideas today! Leave us a comment below and don't forget that we are getting close to the end of our Holly Jolly Holidays! We'll be picking the winner from all the comments left on each post.

It's Day 11 and time to wrap it up!
Hello friends! Today Taj and Deanna are showing you some festive ideas for wrapping up those gifts for someone special on your holiday list.
First Taj shows us a fabulous altered gift box!
I love getting boxes like this so I can save and re-use them again or place memento's in to hold onto in the coming years.
Here's a look at the detail in this adorable project
I love the 3D effects here with the house. The added touch of pearls softens it too.
Now if you're a terrible wrapper like me then the gift bag is your saving grace during the holidays! What I love about gift bags is they can start out ordinary and be transformed to extraordinary! Just look at what Deanna did with this bag.
Deanna used a die cut machine to cut the holiday greeting and transform this bag. I admit I am the one who saves the packaging for just about everything to reuse. I even came home with gift bags from my annual Citymommy White Elephant holiday party last night. I know, shameless right?
Love the added touch of paper garland on the tree and using a black pen to outline the die cut greeting.
Here's another tip for dressing up gift bags, create a handmade ornament and attach it to your bag. A little something extra will go a long way for that special someone you are presenting your gift to.
Thanks ladies for the great projects! We hope you bag it or box it with love this holiday season by adding homemade touches with My Little Shoebox Holly Jolly collection to your gifts!
We're coming to the end of our Holly Jolly holidays. Only 4 more days left! If you're just joining us make sure you start at this post to find out all the news about our Holly Jolly holidays so you don't miss out on how you could win 2 collections of your choice!

It's Day 10 of our Holly Jolly Holidays...
Time to dress up your tree. How many of you put up your holiday trees the day after Thanksgiving? We have had our tree (a fake one) up since the 5th but have not had time to decorate it. I know, where's our holiday spirit right? I promise we're getting in the spirit this weekend now that my son's soccer team is our division champs and the playoff games are over til Jan when they head to Region finals.
Today Cindy is helping us dress up our holiday trees with a cute idea for fun paper garland:
here's a closer look
Aren't these photos amazing? Beautiful job Cindy!
Creating this garland is easy, just punch out 3 circles and use a glue dots to secure them. When threading them thru your twine or string you can add beads or other decor to dress up your garland. For Cindy's look sprinkle glitter on your circles by using any brand of liquid glue and your favorite brand glitter or if you'd like a more detailed look we suggust using a glue pen.
We hope you'll be inspired to make your own holiday garland and if you use My Little Shoebox products be sure and load it up to our Facebook page.
Tomorrow we'll be back with even more inspiration! If you're just joining us make sure you start at this post to find out all the news about our Holly Jolly holidays so you don't miss out on how you could win 2 collections of your choice!

It's Day 8 and today we're talking traditions
Everyone has holiday tradition. It's those little things we do during the holidays that grandma passed on to our mother's and she's been doing them year after year so we too remember to do them for our children. Family traditions are priceless and deserve scrapbook pages all to their own. Today our designers Erin and Pamela created layouts about their family traditions. First up is Pamela:
Here's a few close ups of Pamela's details, love the little house.
Love how she used hand stitching here as an accent.
Beautiful layout about your family's tradition for the holiday Pamela. Next we have Mommy's wish list, a layout from Erin:
Erin likes to record her holiday wishes for the coming year as her tradition layout expresses her feelings. I love the use of mist here and the snowman peeking from the top right corner too!!

It's day 4 of our Holly Jolly Holidays
Hello friends! It's day 4 of our Holly Jolly Holidays and today Heather is showing you some adorable handmade ornaments!
This first one was created with a die cut sentiment from Cricut and the paper rosettes. These are so quick and easy to make with Martha Stewart's scoring board. I own one and love it! You simply start with your scallop circle base add your handmade rosette and then the die cut sentiment. Use hot glue instead of glue dots to affix so they will last year after year.
Rosette's are so versatile you can cut your 12" paper by 1" X 12", 2 X 12" or even 3"by 12" and score every 1/2 inch. When making larger rosette's at 3" X 12" you'll need to glue 2 of them together but the end result is stunning. Heather made the rosette the base for this ornament.
For this final ornament Heather used out die cut journal tags and some wire. Love that little banner at the bottom too! Just punch holes in the top of the tag to attach and embellish!
Here's a look at all 3 of Heather's gorgeous ornaments! We hope you'll create some of your own handmade ornaments too! Remember to load them to our Facebook page here as we always love seeing what you create with our My Little Shoebox collections!

Day 3 of our Holly Jolly Holidays
Welcome back friends! So far we've been having fun celebrating the Holly Jolly Holidays here at the MLS blog. We hope our projects will inspire you to create something handmade this holiday season.
It's day 3 and Shemaine has created a great holiday organizer for you today. I'll let her take it from here:
So how many of you are rushing to finish up those holiday cards? I've got about 20 more left to make but I wanted to show you a great holiday organizer. Now I am not a planner when it comes to shopping and cooking for the holidays but I do plan out my holiday cards. One thing I use to get organized is a holiday card list. Usually it's a PDF (I know totally boring) so I decided to show you a super quick (really, like 20 minutes quick) holiday card organizer I made with our Holly Jolly collection
Supplies: a front and back cover (I used pages from and acrylic album) Holly Jolly patterned paper, glitter stickers, mini alphas and journaling die cuts. Misc supplies: plastic snowflake, blue satin ribbon, clear plastic dress it up buttons(Michael's) Vintage button and twine Papertrey Ink. Pop dots and Extreme Glue squares Glue Arts.
I just cut the paper, rounded the corner, punched holes and adhered the paper to the acrylic cover with Glue Arts perma-tac. Then I embellished it lightly. I like to keep it clean and simple as you can see.
The inside is basic, I used pages from an old address book that I got for a $1. Love that!
And the back is just plain. Nothing fancy although you could create a pocket on the back inside cover of the organizer to slip in some envelopes or stamps.
See, I told you 2o mins tops to create this little organizer. Now you'll never forget anyone on your holiday card list!
We can't wait to hear what you think! So leave a comment telling us what holiday projects you love to create to get an entry into our Holly Jolly Holidays Giveaway!! Share us below on Facebook for an extra entry every day!!

It's Day 2 of our Holly Jolly Holidays
Hello friends and thanks for all your comments on yesterday's kick off post. We're excited to be having you join us for Day 2 and our girls Kathie and Erin have created some adorable holiday cards for you.
Let's start with the lovely Erin
I love the snow she added to make the card very frosty.
I also love that Erin added glitter to these snowmen. I found that Martha Stewart's glitter glue pens are excellent for adding these types of accents because they have a great tip.
How sweet that she photographed her cards on poinsettias! Very nice Erin.
Erin's glitter really makes these cards sparkle. It's easy to mix and match patterns from Holly Jolly to create so many different combinations of cards.
Next we have cards created by Kathie
I love how Katie used the journaling tag with the snowman as the background of her sentiment.
the faux ribbon is a great idea too!
Circle cards are always fun! And this card has lots of sparkle!
Here's a closer look at the glitter glue accents.
Thanks ladies for some great examples of holiday cards! I know I am not nearly done with my own card lists but hopefully I will get them all out by the 10th.
We can't wait to hear what you think! So leave a comment telling us what holiday projects you love to create to get an entry into our Holly Jolly Holidays Giveaway!! Share us below on Facebook for an extra entry every day!!
