Hello MLS fans! It's another great week here on the MLS blog. Last week we showed you a peek at our new Winter Wonderland collection. We know you've been waiting to see the entire collection so today the wait is over!
A note from Helen about this collection: I created this playful winter collection with the hope that you'd enjoy scrapbooking your family's winter activities, holiday gatherings and memories. I know many of my scrapbooking fans also love to create their own holiday cards so I've included 6 different patterns that will work well for whatever theme you have in mind this year.
Look for our Winter Wonderland collection to arrive in stores in late October.
We'd love to hear what you think of this collection so be sure and leave a comment for Helen today. She loves hearing what her fans want to see next from My Little Shoebox.

Ilene shares some Pretty Little Things
Hello MLS fans! Is it Friday already? Wow did this week really fly by! We're sending you off this weekend with some adorable creations from designer Ilene that she made with our Pretty Little Things collection. Make sure you check out our next contest that will be at the end of today's post!
Be a Child
Supplies: Paper, Die-cuts, stickers, letter stickers all MLS, lace is by Maya Road, Tsukineko ink, Martha Stewart Border Punch, EK Success flower punches, Liquid Enamel by Inksenntials for the white dots
Ilene's Tip: In order to make the most of your stickers or die-cut elements, it sometimes pays to adhere them to black cardstock and then cut out, as this really makes them pop. This also makes them more sturdy, which is wonderful when adhering them with pop dots or dressing them up (like I did here, by giving the little girl a hair bow). Also, when working with black and white photos, it really makes them stand out more to include a lot of white elements and accents on your layout.
Supplies: Paper, Die-cuts, stickers, letter stickers all MLS, lace is by Maya Road, Tsukineko ink
Ilene's tip:
In order to make sure that your sentiment fits perfectly, adhere letters to cardstock first, then cut the words out, and then adhere to card.
A big thanks for the super cute layout and card today Ilene! We love that our designer's share their tips for our readers. We hope you find these helpful and inspiring!

Product Spotlight: Punky Sprouts
Hello MLS fans! It's another product spotlight Thursday and we're back with another look at some fantastic mini albums this month's product sponsor
First up with Punky inspiration using our Pretty Little Things collection today is
Supplies: Mini Album: Punky Sprouts, Paper, Die-cuts, stickers, letter stickers: MLS, lace: Maya Road, Prima Marketing, Flowers: Recollections, Martha Stewart, Prima Marketing, Glitter Glue: Ranger Industries, Rub-ons: Basic Grey, Paint is Gesso, Liquid Enamel: Inksenntials, Templates: Crafter's Workshop, Color Spray: Shimmerz, Flower Punches: Ek Success, Cloud die Cuts: Cottage Cuts, Leaf Die Cuts: Tim Holtz, Marker: Sharpie, Crackle Paint: Tim Holtz
Ilene's Tip: If you're working with clear acrylic, you can make a really fun background effect by dabbing white paint right onto the acrylic. And don't forget that you can paint the corrugated cardboard as well, after peeling off the top layer, for a pretty and very textured effect.
To see the rest of Ilene's album visit her blog. Next we have
Ro used the entire Enchanted Garden collection on her beautiful album. Be sure and visit Ro's blog for more of this beautifull album.
Now we get a peek at what Linda created
Linda created her Punky album with the Audrey collection
Linda's tip: Audrey is a beautifully colored, feminine collection. In each page of my album I used a lot of vintage lace, flowers and ribbon. I also used some vintage paper tissue and pearls as accents. It's easy to glam up this collection with vintage accents.
Visit Linda's blog for a look at her entire album.
Shemaine used the playtime collection for her punky album
Shemaine's Tips: When it comes to creating mini's I dig thru my stash for extras I haven't been able to use yet. I love mixing old product, adding some paint and making use of my stamps. For the canvas page I stamped the flower image from the Unity/MLS co banded Pretty Little Things set and colored in the flowers with Luminarte paints.
Thanks for stopping by to see more of these fun albums from our team. Tomorrow we have a new contest to announce!
Have a creative day!

Hello MLS fans. We know you've got lots of MLS scraps in your stash. We want to help you get out those scraps and create some cards. I must admit there are times I really do challenge myself to use up all my cardstock stickers and scraps and creating cards is an awesome way to do that! So here's some card inspiration from our team.
Norine's notes: MLS journal paper makes it so easy to do a color block design. I just cut a square of four journal spots and then made a card the same size. I divided each square so they could be inked on the edges, and fit them back together. Add some embellishments and you have a quick and easy card for pretty much any occasion!
Norine's Notes: I love to "pop" MLS stickers and an easy way to remove the "stick" on the back so they don't get stuck to anything else, is to apply your pop-dot, and before removing the 2nd paper backing, lightly powder with baby powder. The excess brushes off easily and the remainder of the sticker is now sticky-free!
Supplies:
11555 - Magnificente
11553 - Exquisite
11557 - Dazzling
10111 - Pea Pod
11559 - Cardstock Sticker
08429 - Brownie
Supplies:
Beckie's Notes: My little tip here is to use the 'left overs' from the 3D Roll Up flowers to create more flowers but cutting around the outlines. You could even glue them on to coloured papers for a different effect.
Thanks ladies for these beautiful cards and your wonderful tips! We hope you are inspired!
Have a creative day!

Hello MLS fans. We hope you had all had a great weekend! It's the start of a new week and we want to know have you picked out your Halloween costumes yet? Does your family dress up as a theme or do you let everyone choose their own costume? If you're not quite sure like me, maybe you'll be inspired by the cute little spooks in our Trick or Treat collection.
Today we're sharing some Boo-rific inspiration from Nicole and Pattie.
Nicole's tip: This a is cute little Halloween card that came to life after eating about 100 candy corns. I wanted to get into the Halloween spirit and I guess you could call the bag of candy corns my inspiration! I just cut out a rounded-triangle like shape using an old manilla envelope and then took my scraps and layered them to resemble a candy corn. I did have to borrow a "B" side from one of the papers in the Destinations line but as it has been said before My Little Shoebox papers from different collections coordinate really well together! It was super easy and a nice way to use those itty bitty left over scrap pieces! A dear friend shared with my long ago to create layouts first and then use the leftovers for cards! It works and stretches those creative muscles a bit!
Nicole's Tip: This layout is a picture of siblings being their goofy selves with 80's rock band hair! These three are quite the trio and when I saw the new Trick or Treat stickers featuring the spooky bat, the cute witch and the silly devil I knew that they would really bring this photo to life. I made the fence out of my daughters craft sticks and the google-y eyes added a silly touch to the spooky pumpkins. I cut the tree {free hand} and then distressed it with Ranger's Vintage Photo, then lined the edges with glossy accents which resulted in an orangish tent to the tree which coordinated with the rest of the line. Again, such a treat to play with Trick or Treat!
Pattie's Supply List: Batty for You, Monster Crossing, Spooky Treats, Minis in Sunrise, 3D Roll Up Flower cardstock: Bazzil; Die: Tim Holtz Sizzix; Adhesive: Therm o web: Sticker dot runner, Sakura

Tip: Sometimes for me, making a mini album with photos can be overwhelming. I tend to fret over every detail. For this album, I nixed the photos and just went with the flow. The Enchanted Garden is perfect for spring, little girls or even a baby album.

Enchanted Garden patterned paper - Radiant
Enchanted Garden patterned paper - Dazzling
Enchanted Garden patterned paper - Divine
Enchanted Garden 3D Roll-up Flowers
Enchanted Garden Cardstock Stickers
Sprinkle Glaze Alphabet Stickers - Whoopie Pies
Mini Alphabet Stickers - Brownie
Other products used:
Punky Sprouts mini-album
Punky Sprouts trim
Punky Sprouts roll-up flowers
binding machine and wire
border punch
raw chipboard sheets
Designer Tip: I'll be the first to admit that I tend to avoid using mini-albums. I think it might have something to do with my perfectionistic need for my albums to all be the same size, shape, style, etc. But, I really wanted to have a try at the super cool Punky Sprouts products that I received, and boy am I glad I did! I got to work with the Punky Sprouts "Trunk Punky" album, some of their trim, and some of their roll-up flowers. As you can see, I went a different direction and used the products to make myself a much-needed notebook! I'm always searching for paper to jot down phone numbers, reminders about work, DT assignments, and so on. Well now I have a 75-page custom notebook in my favorite color combination sitting on my desk :) Because I wanted my notebook to be pretty and practical, instead of just pretty, I kept the inside simple and designated the dimensional elements to the front cover. I used my binding machine to assemble the finished notebook. I hope I've encouraged you to think outside the box... mini-albums are not just for photos!

** To see Pattie's entire album please visit her blog today.
That wraps up another set of beautiful albums from our talented design team. Join us next week for more Punky Sprouts fun!

Today Kris is sharing some beautiful designs she created with our Enchanted Garden collection.

Other products used:

Designer Tip: I really wanted this photo of my daughter to shine. Since it has a lot of bright blue on its background, I avoided using any of the blue papers and instead layered several of the beautiful, soft green and pink papers. That in itself really made the photo stand out. Still, there wasn't enough "wow" for me, so I made a quick visit to my ribbon stash. By adding a layer of blue trim topped with a blue triple bow, I was able to achieve color balance and make the photo "pop".

Designer Tip: I always try to use an odd number of items in my embellishment clusters. For some reason, an odd number of items (3, 5, 7, etc.) seems to be more pleasing to the eye than an even number. Have you ever noticed that appetizers in restaurants tend to come in sets of odd numbers (i.e., 5 cheese sticks)? Following this rule, my card includes an odd number of flowers. Give it a try!
Join us tomorrow as we share more of the fabulous Punky alterable mini's our designers created with this month's product sponsor Punky Sprouts.

Hello MLS fans! It's September 1st and that means it's time to introduce this month's product sponsor. We are so pleased to team up with Punky Sprouts for the month of September. Our design team has created some fantastic projects with the Punky Sprouts line. Join us every Thursday this month for some fabulous mini album inspiration!
Today to kick off our product spotlight is Nicole's fabulous album created with our Trick or Treat collection. Nicole is such a talented designer who always thinks outside of the box. Nicole has shared some one of a kind techniques with our design team members and blog followers and today's album is another example of her out of the box approach to paper crafting.
Pumpkin Patch Moments by Nicole Wragge
Nicole is always coming up with innovative ways to use our mini alpha sticker sheets. We love how she used them here as the background for one of her pages.
Designers Notes: I received the Sprocket album which with a little trimming quickly became a pumpkin album! That is what I loved about working with this album from Punky Sprouts is the versatility! There were so many fun pages to play with and the little accessories like the canvas flowers or the paper bag-like pieces just really got my creative juices flowing. Using trick or treat literally was a treat! The new die-cut flowers were easy to role and alter. One of them became a stem with leaves while others just bloomed in their own beautiful way. And again, those Mini Alphas {my version of candy yielding absolutely zero calories!} were so fun to pair with the different My Little Shoebox papers!
This album is all kinds of fun! Thanks to Nicole for sharing her talent with us! Now we'd love for you to head on over to the Punky Sprouts Facebook page and tell them we sent you!
