Hello MLS fans! It's Project Friday and we have a special treat for you from designer Linda Kretz. Linda has taken our very popular Up in the Trees collection and created a beautiful project to inspire you to scrap your weekend away!
Happy Days Album by Linda Kretz
Supplies: (Up in the Trees collection)
Linda's Tip: Creating an acetate window for an album cover is a nice change of pace, and I love combining ribbon and lace on projects. Adding pockets for pictures is also fun!
Linda feels she is in one of the best phases of life - being a grandparent. Most of her scrapbooking focuses on four grandchildren - capturing memories as they grow! She is retired and loving it! It is a time to enjoy and explore anything that interests her. That would include reading, volunteer work, traveling, and indulging in a lifelong interest in all kinds of crafts - particularly scrapbooking projects.
Thanks for stopping by the blog today.
We hope you have a very creative weekend!

Hello MLS fans! It's the first day of Spring. Who doesn't love sunshine, flowers and butterflies. Easter is just around the corner too! What are your favorite thing to do in Spring?
Speaking of Spring, our Aiko collection features lots of beautiful images of spring. Today we are sharing some beautiful projects from designer Norine Borys.
Aloha baby by Norine Borys
Norine's Notes: This layout was made with the Aiko line and showcases how well it translates to a "tropical" theme. I used a Page Maps Feb sketch as well.
MLS tip: Add some extra flair to your next gift bag by stamping images on tissue paper. It's easy and very cute too!
These cute little girls are ready for Spring with those beautiful cherry blossoms behind them that make this a perfect Spring giftbag!
Thanks Norine for some lovely inspiration today!
Enjoy your first day of Spring friends!

Hello MLS fans! It's project Friday and today we have something fun from designer Kristine Berc. She's showing us a cute mini album created from MLS papers and 3-D roll up flowers. Let's take a look at this easy to re-create album.

But she also works outside of her home assessing students with learning and behavioral difficulties, and consulting with the school districts to help plan educational programs for those students in order to help them to be successful in school.

Hello MLS fans! It's Tuesday and time for another fun tutorial from our Design Team. Today's tutorial is brought to us by Rocio Duran.
Origami Folding Flowers Tutorial
With spring just around the corner, I wanted to share with you all an origami folding flower tutorial using our Enchanted Garden collection. I have been addicted to making these paper flowers. We even make it as a family activity. Hope you enjoy it!
1. Start with a 3x3 piece of paper. I used Enchanted Garden’s Classy paper. I love all the colors.
2. Fold the bottom corner to the top to make a triangle, this will be the side seen on the outside of your flower so make sure you are happy with your choice.
3. Fold the right bottom corner of the triangle to the top point.
4. Repeat for the left side. I used a bone folder to ensure my folds and edges were flat. You should now have a square.
5. Fold the top left flap of the square backwards as shown. This should form a little kite shape on each flap. Repeat for the other side.
6. Fold the top triangles as shown so that they are level with the edge of the paper.
7. Fold the right flap along the existing crease. Repeat for the other side.
8. Place adhesive to one triangle as shown and attach to the other triangle.
9. Here is a completed petal. Repeat steps 1-8 to create five more. Note where I placed my adhesive to adhere the petals together.
10. Adhere all six petals together. When you have adhered three of the six petals add the floral wire in the middle as shown.
Here is what the completed flower looks like.
Once you have created a few flowers you can create your own bouquet of flowers. I used all 6 papers from Enchanted Garden to create my flowers. I also added a few leaves using the “B” side of Exquisite and adhering them to some floral wire. Here is my completed bouquet:

Hello MLS fans! Today it's Becky and Ilene's turn to share their talents with our Keepsake collection. We love seeing the designer's work coming in each month and these two ladies continue to WOW us with their talents. Today we're starting with some beautiful projects by Becky Williams.
Now it's Ilene's turn!
Ice Cream Fun (layout) by Ilene Tell
Supplies:
Paper, die-cut border, stickers: My Little Shoebox Keepsake Collection
Chipboard Letters: Heidi Swapp (these are from my stash from years ago)
Buttons: Fancy Pants Designs
Chipboard: 7 Gypsies
Cloth Flowers: Prima Marketing
Other: brads, Liquid Pearls, Sharpie, black cardstock
About the page: The background sheet of paper with all the frames on it made me think of a modern art piece, which went well with this photo that had a somewhat modern, artsy feel, with all the bright colors in the background and us sitting at a high counter. It made me think of a painting that I had seen, which inspired me to put this page together. If you're ever short on inspiration, open up and art book, and it's sure to get you in the mood again :)
A Little Note (card)
Supplies:
Paper, stickers: My Little Shoebox Keepsake Collection
Sticker letters: My Little Shoebox
Stamp: Kraftin' Kimmie
Other: Glossy Accents, Copic Markers
About the card: Lately, I've been having a lot of fun coloring stamped images with my Copics. What I love about My Little Shoebox collection is that they always come with a sheet of journaling cards/frames that you can cut apart yourself. These make the PERFECT frames or mats for the stamped images. They're always sized just right and coordinate beautifully with the rest of the collection.
