Hi, all MLS fans. Carol here with 2 cards and 1 project using the adorable "Oh, Deer!" collection. I love the woodsy feel of this collection and the oh so adorable deer and mushroom!!! When I saw this collection, lot of ideas just flow into my mind!!!
"My Deer Friend" Postcard Card
I cut out the respective papers, inked and layered them with foam strips. I made it to be like a postcard using my postal stamps. Again popped up the journaling tag with foam strips and adhered the alpha stickers for the title. I made this for a dear friend of mine.
I love the Deer and the Tree "Stamps".
Supplies: White cardstock (Bazzill); MLS papers: A Walk In The Woods, Creekside Trail, Happy Campers, Cardstock Sticker, Mini Alpha Sticker (Apple); Postal Stamps (Purple Onion); Distress inks; Foam tape (Scrapbook Adhesives)
"I Wood Like To Say..." Card
Besides the deer, I love the cute mushrooms and this "woodgrain" paper!! So I made a "tree trunk" card with it. I layered and popped up the leaves and acorn stickers at the top.
For this card, I also embellished the inside of the card with the journaling tag and stickers.
Supplies: White cardstock (Bazzill); MLS papers: A Walk In The Woods, Happy Campers, Cardstock sticker, Mini Alpha Stickers (Apple, Red Lipstick); Foam Strips (Scrapbook Adhesive); Zig Pen; Distress Inks.
"Oh, Deer! My Mushroom Dollhouse!"
The first moment I lay my eyes on this paper collection, a mushroom dollhouse idea for my girl just pop into my mind. I went to a local craft store and grabbed some basswood and the foam semi dome. I sawed the wood using a small manual saw and pasted the papers with multi-medium. Then I sanded the edges and glued them together with wood glue before nailing them. I painted the foam dome and adhered punched circles to make the mushroom head. I made the "clothline" with the banner diecuts and MLS green ribbon. It was a tiring job to saw and sand the wood. My arms were sore after this but I'm very happy with the result. So is my girl. She always wanted me to make a dollhouse for her.
Here's some detailed close ups:
I used the journaling tags as the "carpets". I didn't glue these down as I would want to update and change the "carpets" whenever I want. I made the 2 deers with the stickers glued unto chipboard and made the "leg" for them to stand. So they are the dollhouse owners!! The furnitures are from my and my girl's toy collection.
For both sides of the dollhouse, I adhered the tree and mushroom stickers and sealed them in with multi-medium.
Here's the 2 owners of the dollhouse. Love them!!!
I made this table with a round wood and some wooden spools. Adhered the table top with paper and sanded them down. I made "bowls" out of the leaf die-cuts and also glued the acorn stickers unto chipboard (to make it more dimensional) to make the "food".
I made a simple flower garden corner with the flower die-cuts and mushroom stickers. The lamp post was made using Sizzix die.
Supplies: MLS papers: (Oh Deer! collection) Creekside Trail, A Walk In The Woods, Knock On Wood, Happy Campers, 3D Roll-Up Flower and Accents, Cardstock Sticker, Woodgrain Muse Alpha Sticker, Morning Mist Trim Pack; (Up In The Trees collection) In The Trees; (Happy GoLucky collection) Linen & Carnation; Basswood; Foam Dome (half); Wood Glue; Nails; Gesso; Claudine Hellmuth Acrylic Paint; Sizzix Tim Holtz die; Foam Board; Claudine Hellmuth Multi-Medium; Sandpaper; EK Success Mega 3D Dots; Round Wood; Wooden Spools; Paper Cones.
I hope you enjoy my project and cards. Have a fun week!!

Hello MLS friends. Linda here with a quick tutorial showing how heat embossing can be a wonderful technique to dress up any project, card, layout, or album. For this tutorial, I've made a card using the Secret Garden collection from MLS. I love butterflies, and this collection is truly delightful and fun!
For heat embossing, you need the following: Heat embossing tool, Watermark stamp pad, anti-static bag, opaque embossing powder, and a stamp (background or individual icon, such as a flower).
This is the card I made using the heat embossing technique:
Step 1: Choose the paper you want to emboss. Rub the anti-static pad across the paper. Next, use the watermark stamp pad on your stamp (s), then sprinkle the embossing powder over your stamped image, then pour of the excess. On this card, I used four different flower stamps, and stamped them randomly. Last, heat the images until the powder turns a shiny white.
Step 2: Either use the embossed piece as a background, or use a die cut that will allow you to see something you place on the inside of the card.
Step 3: I used the same stamps (using an ink pad, not embossing) on the inside of the card so they would show through the cie cut front of the card.
The last step is to embellish the card. Using a floral paper in the Secret Garden collection, I heat embossed two butterflies, using black embossing powder, and adhered them to the front and the inside portion of the card. The card was finished with a strip from another paper in the collection, a sentiment, and a button.
I hope this tutorial inspired you to try heat embossing. It is fun and elegant, and can be used so many ways!
Thanks for stopping by the MLS blog!!

Hello MLS fans. Shemaine here posting today and I am sharing some card making inspiration using our Coming Home collection.
I love saving my scraps for card making because lately I have really been trying to use up all of whatever collection I am creating with. How many times have you cleaned out your scrap space and had tons of extra paper left over? All that paper is perfect for creating hand made cards for friends and loved ones.
How do I store my scraps you ask? Well that is the key to my organization. I have a single 12x12 bin that my scraps go in. When it starts to get 1/2 full, I make cards to empty it out. Oh back in the day I had a box with hanging files and I used to file them by color and season. Well after time I accumilated way too many scraps so I came up with plan B.
Alright, here's what I created with my scraps.
Thank You ( 5x6 horizontal)
Our new punch out leaves are a perfect addition to our rolled flowers.
Supplies: Park Avenue and Urban Green patterened paper. 3D rolled flowers, leaves and scalloped border. Misc: ribbon Accents: Liquid Pearls
Happy Birthday (5x6 vertical)
Supplies: Park Avenue patterned paper, Trims Dies: Spellbinders, Lil' inker. Stamps: Hero Arts Pens: Copic Misc: twine, button.
For this card I went all girl. I loved mixing the pink plaid in Park Avenue and the pink ruffle trim. I made this card for our dear friend's daughter who turned 7 a few weeks ago.
Congrats (5x6 vertical)
Sometimes the simpliest design can make for a beautiful card. I love that cloud design in the Towne Square patterned paper.
Supplies: Towne Square, Urban Green patterned paper. Tools: Martha Stewart border punch. Twine: The Twinery Accents: Recollections Stamps: Hero Arts
Welcome Home (5x6 horizontal)
Supplies: Towne Square and Park Avenue patterned paper; Trim: Morning Mist; Dies: Spellbinders, Papertrey ink; Stamps: Unity Co Branded; Misc: Buttons
Hello (5x6 horizontal)
Supplies: Park Avenue, Town Square and Urban Green patterned paper; Stickers: Mini Alphas and Cardstock Stickers; Tools: EK Success border punch; Misc: ribbon and button.
I hope you are inspired to get out your scraps, stamps and border punches today. We love seeing what you are creating on the My Little Shoebox Facebook wall. Please keep posting your designs and you could be featured on our blog.
Have a creative day!

Hello MLS fans. Linda here with layouts and cards using the beautiful Vintage Shop collection from My Little Shoebox. The pretty flowers, vintage papers and adorable little owls made creating easy and fun!
On my first of 2 layouts, I went crazy with tearing paper and inking everything!
I die cut a frame with the French Lace paper, and popped it over the Heirloom owl paper. The owls are foam dotted on branches, and some seam binding and lace finished the layout. Lucy and Hannah, my granddaughters, are thrilled with the owls!
Supplies: MLS Chocolate and Chiffon card stock, French Lace paper, Heirloom paper, Cardboard Stickers, 3D Roll-Up Flowrs, Chocolate Mini Letters, Vintage Photo Distress Ink, Seam binding, and lace.
For my 2nd layout, I changed the look but kept the vintage feel.
Here I used Picket Fence distress stain to softer the left edge of the background and the strip of Rose Ribbon paper. I used strips from the same paper and some ribbon and lace to add contrast and dimension. Doilies, some pearls, and some foam dotted flowers and stickers completed the picture. Two pictures of Kenzie, my granddaughter, just jumped onto the page!
Supplies: Rose Ribbon papers, Attic Treasures paper, Cardboard Stickers, Newsprint Alphabet Stickers, Tim Holtz Picket Fence Distress Stain, Sizzex Doily Die, Ribbon and lace.
Here is my first card, having fun with the large, cute owl.
I wanted this card to be a little more masculine, so I used the blue and black theme. The background is layered using the French Lace paper ( both sides)and, black cardstock. Other: Oval Quik Kutz die, and some ribbon.
My 'Hello' card focuses on the lovely flowers in this collection.
I love the gorgeous roses in this collection, and they are the background and centerpiece of my card. I wanted to stress the vintage feel. so I inked the background papers. The lace, white doily and seam binding bring out some of the fabulous colors in the Vintage Shop collection.
Supplies: French Lace and Attic Treasures, Cardboard Stickers, Cream Mini Alphabet Stickers, Vintage Photo Distress Ink, dark green seam binding, and white vintage lace.
Thanks for stopping by the MLS blog. I hope you're inspired to scrap with this delightful MLS collection, and have some inspiration and new ideas!

Hi, Jenifer here with you today on the MLS blog!! I will be sharing some cards that I made with the Vintage Shop collection. I had so much fun making these cards. The Vintage Shop collection makes it quick and easy to put together some cute and unique cards.
The Owl in this collection is just too cute so I ended up using him in the first 2 cards. I love how different the cards are even though I am using the same collection.
Card #1
I went with a little more romantic feel with my next couple of cards. If you couldn't tell I adore the pink polka-dot paper :) Everything is better with a few polka-dots:) Again I have 3 completely different cards using the Vintage Shop Collection.
I hope you have enjoyed my cards today, I had so much fun making them. Make sure you stop by again tomorrow for even more inspiration.

Shhh we're in the Secret Garden
There is nothing better than the sun coming out to shine after a few days of rain. We rush outside and have some fun. One of these days I took my camera with me and snapped some pictures of my family down in the woods. I decided to make a little mini album with the pictures and as the lighting was very mellow the Secret Garden collection was crying out to be used.
I adore all the butterflies which adorn these papers. The can be added to your paper with some glue or with a few foam pads you can give the feeling that they are fluttering around the pages.
Products used :
Secret Garden – 12"Paper – Dorothy
Secret Garden – 12"Paper – Sweetie
Secret Garden – 12"Paper – Bonbons
Secret Garden – 12"Paper – La petite
Secret Garden – 3D Roll-Up Flower and Accents
Secret Garden – Cardstock Sticker – Secret Garden
Muse Cardstock Alphabet Sticker – Strawberry Frosting
Mini Alphabet Sticker – Chocolate Cake
Handbag Mini Album
Bakers Twine
Here are a couple of cards I made with the Secret Garden collection. The first one is made using a pre cut crown which is made by Papermania. I simply covered it before rolling up some of the 3D flowers and adding them to the base of the crown. The small cut out butterflies are perfect for embellishments.

A tip for this card below is when you have rolled up your flowers add some seed beads to the centre. The give a great texture .... just make sure you add glue :)

Sweet Sentiments with Vintage Shop
Hello, MLS fans! It's Robyn with you today to share a few cards I created with the Vintage Shop collection.
First, I dusted off my Silhouette Cameo to work with one of my favorite My Little Shoebox designs from the Silhouette Store.
The bottom owl is one of the cardstock stickers, but I needed a second owl to create the "conversation" between them. So I did a "Print and Cut" of the Silhouette image, making the image a bit larger to create a border across the two patterned papers.
I used some pop-dots to attach the cut to the card. To finish, I added the sticker and stamped the sentiment at the bottom.
This next card was inspired by the sheet of 3D Rolled Flowers and Accents that goes with the Vintage Shop collection.
I loved the different shapes of the pennant pieces, so I layered them atop a strip of ruffled trim (from the Trim Pack) and adhered the rolled flowers across the top.
When creating the rolled flowers, it's fun to experiment with folding and twisting the paper as you're rolling to give some of your flowers a rolled edge. You can even fold some of the inward toward the center for a different effect.
Have a wonderful day!

Tuesday Tutorial with Rô Philippsen
Hello MLS Guys!!
Today I want to show you guys how to make a photo-frame, very easy and using few materials.
You just will need:
- a piece of chipboard measuring 7 x 8.5 inches;
- 4 cardboard strips - two strips with 7 inches long, and two strips with 8.5 inches, all with 1 inch wide.
- brown distress ink;
- and some amazing MLS supplies!
Let's go to the tutorial:
1 - Start peeling totally the cardboard strips, and cut the ends diagonally, exactly in 45 degrees.
2 - Then pass the distress ink on the cardboard strips.
3 - You will not need much, just a bit of distress.
4 - Now choose a beautiful new collection MLS Pattern Paper and glue it on the chipboard.
5 - And start gluing the cardboard strips with foam tape. You will see that they fit right, once you cut the ends at 45 degrees.
6 - Wow, all strips glued here!
7 - Now choose the most amazing new MLS Collection, LOL this is difficult, all the collections are awesome!! And embellish your photo-frame.
8 - Here you can see my very cute result.

It's Megan here with some cards I created using the new Cherry Delight line. I LOVE cherry blossoms, so I just adored this line! The colors are gorgeous and work so well together. I also love the new alpha stickers!
For my first creation, I decided to use the squares from the Happy Times paper to create a set of mini cards. I kept these fast and simple, using the mini alphabet stickers to create the sentiments.
Next, I had to do something with those gorgeous cherry blossoms! This tree sticker is my favorite I think. I couldn't wait to use it as a focal point.
For this one, I wanted to focus in on one of the 'scenes' in the Serenade paper, so I used a die cut as a mask, and misted the rest of the paper with some dye ink spray. I then traced the die to create a frame, colored it in and applied some glossy accents for texture. Two of the banners from the die cut sheet create the sentiment area.
Now that I had some scraps, I created this pieced and stitched 'frame'. More of the gorgeous cardstock stickers and some of the brand new Muse alphabet stickers complete this card. I used foam tape on the branch to create dimension.
Finally, I used one of the doilies from the Bliss paper to create a focal point on this pieced card. The flag is one of the die cuts wrapped around part of a wooden skewer.
Thanks for stopping by! I had such a blast making these cards. I hope you enjoyed them!

I used some rhinestone to create a visual triangle on my card.
I layered the home stickers, adding the center one with foam
adhesive to create a dimensional card.

Hello My Little Shoebox fans!
Here’s Monique today with two fun projects: a layout and a photo frame, both using the brand new “Cherry Delight” line.
As red is my favorite color, I had so much fun working with this line (but to be honest, I adore working with every line of My Little Shoebox!).
Let me start with my layout. I created a page of my adorable little niece.
and a few details:
I love to use the 3D Roll-Up Flowers, not rolled-up but stacked on top of each other.
To create the title I used the Muse Cardstock Alphabet Stickers and adhered them to the banner . I think that I used the entire sheet of 3D Roll-Up Flowers and Accents:
Supplies: MLS Cherry Delight: Charming (50001), Serenade (50002), Bliss (50003), Happy Times (50004), 3D Roll-Up Flower and Accents (50005), Cardstock Sticker (50006), Muse Cardstock Alphabet Sticker (50101 Firecracker). Other supplies: Cardstock: Bazzill Basics
Then on to my next project: When I was having my lunch break I strolled through the city centre (where I work) and found this cute photo frame in the shape of a house. I knew straight away what I was going to do with it!!
some details:
I’m really happy how this turned out!
Supplies: Cherry Delight: Charming (50001), Happy Times (50004), 3D Roll-Up Flower and Accents (50005), Cardstock Sticker (50006), Mini Alphabet Stickers (50151 – Kiss).
Thanks for stopping by My Little Shoebox’ blog today!
Hugs,
Monique
