I just love all the lines so much! I also love how well they work together, so as my farewell to My Little Shoebox, I created a couple of mash up pages.
The first one is a two pager using some Cherry Delight, some Up in the Trees and some Coming home.
I used a sketch from Creating keepsakes. The letters and kites were created with my cricut.
This one has a mix of Secret Garden and Notebook. The background was created with a Crafter's workshop template and some modeling paste. I left it plain, without inking or misting it, so that it creates a subtle texture.
I want to share my gratitude for the chance to be on this team and work with these fabulous products. I am glad that the My Little Shoebox line will be continuing with the adorable bags and home products!

Tuesday Tutorial with Rô Philippsen
I really like to recycle objects, especially by the charm of transformation.
I think magical turning a object that inevitably would go to waste on something new, creative and beautiful. Undoubtedly, it is the power of transformation that delights me so much in this process.
And today I have something to show you!
The raw material for this small "Pillow Box" is an empty toilet paper roll.
You will still need a cover pot, measuring 3 inch, and something to mark, can be spatula, etc..
The raw material for this small "Pillow Box" is an empty toilet paper roll.
You will still need a cover pot, measuring 3 inch, and something to mark, can be spatula, etc..
Repeat this process on the two ends of the two sides of the roll.
See in detail how it should be:
It is then only folding each of the score lines before,
to close the box.
To decorate, I "messed" with a little gesso.
And then stamped with a stamp writing on the gesso.
Then just give wings to the imagination, and decorate with a lot of creativity, using the gorgeous and colorful MLS Products!
So, Easter is around the corner, you can use this for gift small candies!
I hope you enjoyed it!

Calendar Tutorial from Monqiue
Desk Calendar Tutorial
Although almost everyone has a digital calendar nowadays I still find it handy to have a “real” calendar on my desk and so I made this one. Let me share with you how I made it:
Find a printable calendar on the internet and print on a A4 sized sheet (I used the “Linen” sheet (11859)). Make sure you choose a calendar with three rows like this one from “http://annystudio.com/calendars/”.
Cut in three rows (2” x 9,5”):
Take a piece of cardstock (9.5” x 12”) and score in three places (every three inches), so you have three rows of 3” x 12” and a row of 0.5” x 12”:
Cut 3 strips of patterned paper a bit smaller than 3”x12” and adhere to cardstock.
Adhere your 3 calendar strips on a mat, repeat this step and then adhere to the cardstock with patterned paper base:
Choose stickers you want to use for your calendar and make them less sticky (as you’ll be adhering them with 3D foam adhesive). To lessen the stickiness I always stick them on my clothes:
Because the stickers aren’t adhesive anymore you can now place and replace them on your project to see where you want them before you adhere them with some 3D foam adhesive. Don’t make your project too “bulky” as it will always have to stand on one of the sides:
Your final step is to place a strip of tacky tape on the upper strip of cardstock and fold your calendar closed like this:
Your calendar is now ready to use on your desk at home or in the office:
I hope you'll give this a try with your MLS stash! It makes a great teacher gift too!
Have a great day!

A whole heap of My Little Shoebox
Mmm I so love it when we get to mix all the collections up together! It shows how easy and how all the MLS creations can compliment each other.
I have a few projects to share with you where I have done just that .....
This layout is of me enjoying a warming cup of spiced cider at the German Market over Christmas, it is seriously yummy!!
I love how the muse alphabets looked on the finished layout.
Products Used
Cherry Delight - Bliss, 3D accents and flowers
Secret Garden - La Petite, Bon Bons, 3D rolled flowers and accents
Vintage Shop - French Lace, Heirloom
Next I delved deep down into my bags of 'scraps' and create these cards ........
These cards mix and match most of the new collections that are provided to by local store.
As this is my last post designing with My Little Shoebox papers, embellishments and funky alphabets I have to share that I have loved every minute of working with the many other talented ladies and seeing there amazing creations! Helen's amazing designs have really filled my craft room with fun and cheerfulness! It has been a honour to have worked on the team for a few years now and I have loved every minute! So a huge shout out to Helen for her wonderful designs and the rest of my team mates for the inspirational designs.
I hope you have a wonderful day

Spring Wishes with Cherry Delight
Hello, MLS Friends! It's Robyn with you today, and I don't know about you, but I'm ready for SPRING!!
At our house, Spring seems to be the season of birthdays, so I've been getting a jump on things by creating some cards with the Cherry Delight collection from My Little Shoebox.
I love how the doilies in this collection give it a bit of a vintage look. I decided to use this paper as a background image and add in a few die-cuts to create this card:
To create the flower, I used a starburst punch shape in between two of the die-cut flowers and added a vintage button to the top.
This next card uses one of my favorite color combos: bright pink and lime green. I added foam dots to the backs of the stickers to pop them off the card a bit.
The doily was cut with my die-cutting machine, but you could just as easily add a mini paper cake doily to achieve the same look.
Thanks for visiting today and many wishes for beautiful days ahead!

Hi everyone. Pattie here. Happy Valentine's Day to everyone! Hope you are all being appreciated and shown just how special and loved you are! And not just today, but every day!! Since I'm on the subject of special and love, I just wanted to express how thankful I have been being able to share my scrappy works with all of you these past several years. I hope that I have inspired you to use your special gift of craftiness as well! My Little Shoebox has been a part of my life for over 5 years and I have enjoyed every minute of it!
I created a couple of Valentine themed projects for this month. I made a card and a treat box for someone special in my life.
This is a card that I made using papers from the Notebook and Cherry Delight. After hand cutting out the heart from the floral paper, I pop dotted it onto the polka dot paper to give some dimension to my card. I also cut out a heart from chipboard and covered it in some extra sparkly glitter. Sometimes it the simple things that make a card really special!
Next I made a little sweet treat box. I love giving out candy boxes for just about any occasion- it's candy after all! This is really simple to make with a 4x12" strip of paper and a few score marks. This is great for room moms to make for all kinds of school functions!
Supplies used: Cherry Delight: Bliss, Charming; Notebook: With Love; Island Breeze Trim Pack, Cream Mini Alphabet Stickers.
Thanks for stopping by!

Some Vintage Shop and Oh, Deer! Projects for you!
Hello My Little Shoebox fans! Today it's my turn to show you what I made with My Little Shoebox' awesome collections! As I wasn't able to choose between my 2 favorite collections: Vintage Shop and Oh, Deer! I decided to create something with both of them!
First I made this "Vintage Shop" layout about my youngest who just came back from the hairdressers:
I don't know if you can see it very well, but he has blue hairgel in his hair and was feeling very "tough"! Although "tough" and Vintage Shop don't seem a likely combination I decided to go for it anyway and am quite happy with the result!
Here are a few close-ups:
Supplies: My Little Shoebox: Vintage Shop collection (patterned papers, 3D Roll-Up Flowers and Accents, Cardstock Stickers), Muse Cardstock Alphabet Stickers, Mini Alphabet Stickers, Unity Stamp & My Little Shoebox: Owl love You Always. Other supplies: Cardstock: Bazzill Basics; Heart Jewel: Doodlebug Design; Stamps: Studio Calico, Stampers Anonymous; Stamping Ink: Memento; Pen: K&Company; Doily and Staples: misc. Tools: Silouette Cameo.
And then on to my Oh, Deer! projects: two cards. Here's a "Hi" card:
and also a "Bye" card:
I'm so in love with the little deer! I just had to use them!
Supplies: My Little Shoebox: Oh, Deer! (Patterned Paper, 3D Roll-Up Flowers and Accents, Cardstock Stickers), Muse Cardstock Alphabet Stickers, Mini Alphabet Stickers. Other supplies: Cardstock: Bazzill Basics; Pen: Stabilo; Doily: misc.
Although this is not quite my last post on MLS' blog, as at the end of the month I have a fun tutorial up, I do want to seize this opportunity to thank Helen from the bottom of my heart for this fabulous year on the design team. I've loved every minute creating with her awesome collections and am very sad to have to say goodbye. I'm wishing her loads of good luck and success with her new bags and accessories collections! I'm sure they will be a big hit as they are truly wonderful! Also many thanks to Shemaine and Pattie for their continuing and enthusiastic support!
Thank you so much for visiting My Little Shoebox' blog today! Hope to see you back soon!
Hugs, Monique

Tuesday Tutorial: Valentine Gift Card Holders
Hello, MLS friends! It's Robyn with you today for a Tuesday Tutorial.
Just a few more days 'til Valentine's Day. What?! You've forgotten to pick up gifts? That's okay. Today's tutorial will help you whip up a quick batch of gifts for your sweethearts.
Everyone loves a gift card to their favorite store. Why not package this simple (and fast!) gift in a beautiful way?
All you need are:
First, seal your envelopes. Then use your paper trimmer to trim a little off the short edge. I cut mine down to 5".
Now that you've got your pouch, use a circle punch to cut a rounded sliver out of the top of each one.
Next, insert the pouch into an embossing folder and run it through your Cuttlebug, Big Shot or other embossing machine. If you're not into embossing, you can skip this step. I just like the texture it adds to the pouch.
Now you're ready to layer on some embellishments! I used banner pieces from the die-cut sheet and a few cardstock stickers to finish off this gift card holder.
Repeat on the other gift card holders. Try mixing it up a bit or adding in scraps of patterned papers or a strand of trim.
And then you're ready to insert your gift cards for the ones you love.
Happy Valentine's Day!!

Notebook and Secret Garden Love
Hi, MLS friends. Carol here sharing my last post using Notebook and Secret Garden collections. I'm having mixed feelings as I typed out this post. Happy that My Little Shoebox is venturing into lifestyle products yet sad that I won't be able to craft with My Little Shoebox scrapbooking line for now. Its such an honor to be part of this design team. I really really love My Little Shoebox paper collections. They are so adorable and versatile and with cheerful colors. Thank you Helen for letting me be part of the team and for the wonderful products.
Today I'm sharing 2 projects that I made. The first is a necklace and bookmark. Secondly is my art journal pages.
"DIY Necklace and Bookmark"
Supplies: MLS Notebook (Always and Forever) and Secret Garden (Dorothy); MLS Trim Pack (Morning Mist); Maya Road (pin); Tiny glass bottle and cork, swaroski crystals, seed beads, metal clasps; Prima trinkets; Itop tool and button; Glossy accents
I used the MLS trim as the bookmark body and attached the button rosette at the top. I like this type of bookmark as i find it light and easy to carry around in my bag.
For the necklace, I altered a tiny glass bottle by inserting a Maya Road pin into the cork and adhered flowers cut out from MLS paper. I also put some loose flowers inside the bottle. To seal up the cork and secure it, I used glossy accent and jewelry wire as the hook to the leather strap. I also adhered a butterfly cut out at the exterior of the bottle.
"Love" Art Journal Pages
For this page, I just misted the background and adhered the cut-out and stickers unto the page. Added pearls around the page too.
Here's the closeup:
I love this page.I used texture paste/crackle paste with glass bead gel mixture across a bricks stencil for the background. And tinted it slightly with Pan Pastel chalks. This page is about me and my hubby and our love messages to each other. The messages are hidden in the folded journalling tags under the photos.
This message is written by my hubby to me.
And this message from me to my hubby.
Supplies: MLS Notebook (Always and Forever, Truly Yours, Bits and Pieces, Cardstock Sticker); MLS Secret Garden (La Petite); Tattered Angels mists; Multi-medium (Claudine Hellmuth); Kaisercraft pearls and swaroski crystals; The Crafter's Workshop template; Texture Paste (Dowler Rowney) and Glass Bead gel (Golden); Pan Pastel Tints; Prima Flowers; Studio Calico wood veneers; brads and turn mounts
Well, I hope you enjoy my projects for this past year. And I wish Helen and My Little Shoebox all the best in their ventures. Happy crafting and have lots of fun!!

Hello everyone! Linda here with my last post for My Little Shoebox scrapbooking collections. Thank goodness the creative, wonderful designs from Helen will continue as she moves in a new direction into bags and life-style products! I have been honored to be a member of her design team for two years - the special opportunity to expand my own creativity, learn from my team members, and design with fabulous, colorful, lovely paper collections. When you add Helen's generosity and friendship, it just doesn't get any better than that!
Today I am sharing with you three projects from the exciting Notebook collection. The first is a Happy Birthday card.
With this card I created panels, then stitched them with black ink, and foam dotted them for dimension. I used lace and seam binding to separate the card into two parts, then embellished with leaves, flowers, and decorative pins. The bottom is embossed white cardstock to provide background for the red mini letters.
Supplies: Notebook collection, MLS mini letters, lace, seam binding, flower and pins. I also used Tattered Angels Dirty Martini Glam on the leaves.
My second card was created ith another color accent from the Notebook collection.
The 'For You' card highlights the softer colors from this collection. My butterfly is from a punch using two pieces of paper, with the top foam dotted, leaving the bottom piece as a shadow. The pearls call attention to the butterfly, and two kinds of lace add a fancier look to the card.
Supplies: Notebook collection, pearls, lace, mini letters
My last project is a tag - lots of fun to create!
The tag itself is a piece of MLS cardstock, with a doily added. I die cut another paper from the collection as a background for the little girl and banners. The top of the tag is a piece of darker blue ribbon to add contrast, a button, and white twine. A small swirl of pearls and mini letters complete the tag.
Supplies: Notebook collection, MLS cardstock, Punky Sprouts doily, Prima peals
I hope you have enjoyed the design team creations from out talented team members over the years, and have been inspired to create for yourselves. Again, thanks to Helen, her beautiful designs and generosity, and also for the help and leadership provided by our Coordinators, Pattie Beltran and Shemaine Smith.
Happy Creating!!!

My sons love hunting and four wheeling. It's difficult to convince them to pose for pics these days, but they were all smiles on this outdoor adventure. I combined fabulous products from these MLS collections: Oh, Deer and Vintage Shop. Also included: Want2Scrap chipboard, Tsukinko Ink, Beacon Adhesives.
What is more wonderful than a school dance? The MLS collection "Cherry Delight" was perfect to showcase this special event. Also included: Want2Scrap bling, Tattered Angels glimmer mist, Tsukineko ink, Beacon Adhesives.
A huge thank you to Helen Chu and My Little Shoebox for allowing me to serve on the design team for the past 2 years. It has been a wonderful experience. I LOVE MLS paper products and have enjoyed every moment of creating with this amazing team!

Hi this is Jenifer here with you today to share my last post on the My Little Shoebox blog. I have been so honored to work with this wonderful Company and to work with these very talented designers has been a pleasure.
I have saved the best for last. I absolutely love my last project. I took an old torn up book and taken apart. Using foam core boards I have created layers of hills and clouds and a cute little scene for the unsuspecting reader.
I used every single flower that was on the punch out sheet to really give my cover depth.
Here is the inside. I wrapped all the edges in ribbon to give it a nice clean look.
I hope you have enjoyed my project today. I want to wish Helen and all the team all the best it has been fun.

Dear Friend card *Secret Garden and Notebook line*
Hi there MLS friends. This post is bittersweet for me. I feel so blessed to have had the chance to design with My Little Shoebox products but at the same time sad that this is my last post. I'm sure you've heard that our wonderful leader/designer- Helen has jumped into designing bags and home decor products and with that she's saying goodbye (for now) to designing scrapbook lines.
So for my last project share, I'm dedicating this card to her. :)
Dear Friend Card
Supplies Used:
Cardstock- Walmart; Pattern Papers- (50022, Sweetie, Secret Garden; 50033, Truly Yours, Notebook) My Little Shoebox; Letter stickers- 50152, Cream, Mini Alphabet, My Little Shoebox; Chipboard butterfly- Maya Road; Rhinestones- BoBunny; Twine- Lemondrop, The Twinery; Glitter- Source Unknown; Border punch- Fiskars; White paint- Plaid Enterprises; Adhesives- Scrapbook adhesive by 3L, Glue Dots, Creative Memories
Notes:
I combined papers from two different lines (Secret Garden and Notebook) to create this friend card. I wanted the main focus to be the chipboard butterfly so I painted it white and I also added glitter on it. I love adding white paint and then sprinkling glitter on the item. When the paint is still wet, it’s the best time to add glitter. This step eliminates adding extra adhesive for the glitter.
It's been my honor to be part of a great and talented group of designers and before I go, I decided to make a collage of some of my favorite projects that I've made while on the team...
Looking back at all of the projects I've made, I know that I have grown as a designer and paper crafter. That is all thanks to the beautiful products that Helen has designed for My Little Shoebox. My favorite ones have always been the journaling blocks and I'm going to think about her everytime I create with those fun products.
Thank you to all of you and I wish you all the best in your crafting endeavors. :)

Hello MLS fans. Today is our last day of Mash Up week. We hope you've enjoyed all of the projects featured this week. Our Design Team players worked really hard on their projects and we really appreciate their efforts.
Our final Masher of the week is...
Carousel Love layout
Some of the details
I used several punched hearts to make a honeycomb style embellishment for my page. Use the Tim Holtz tiny attacher to attach them all.
I added a bit of mist to the background cardstock. I cut out the letters and used the pop dots to add dimension to my title.
Supplies: Vintage Shop Heirloom, Vintage Shop French Lace, Vintage Shop Rose Ribbon, Coming Home Soaring Above, Secret Garden La Petite. Strawberry Frosting Muse Cardstock Alphabet Stickers,.
Misc: Tattered Angels Dutch Tulip and embossed chipboard, Wood Buttons, The Twinery Pink twine, Recollections fabric and paper flowers.
These collections were easy to mash and a fun way to use up scraps and extra letters I had on my sticker sheets.
That wraps up Mash Up week!
Have a fantastic weekend and don't forget about our Open House Sale going on Friday and Saturday!
