We have been having a BLAST discovering creative and inspiring ways to use washi tape and today is no exception!

Designers Jill Cornell and Diana Brodeur have worked their washi tape magic and come up with two inspiring designs you are sure to LOVE!

We ADORE the way Jill incorporated washi tape from our Sweet Notes collection into her design to create a stunning pattern on her cutout heart -- the perfect focal point for her card.

...the rhinestone sparkler highlights the beauty of her design perfectly!

Diana's addition of washi tape to her layout is the perfect amount of fun and eye-catching.

Just look at the way the translucent appearance of our Sweet Notes washi tape adds depth and visual interest when layering over patterns and textures!

Crafting With Kids {Valentine's Keepsake Boxes}

Before you toss all those sweet little Valentine greetings your kids brought home from school, why not create a special keepsake box with your kids this weekend?

Out of ideas? We're here to help...first, bask in the cuteness of Jaz Lee's little boy:

Together with his momma, this little guy created this masterpiece:

Jaz created a little pencil/scissors holder out of an empty toilet paper roll covered in patterned paper. Then, she adhered the roll onto hand-cut butterfly wings.

Wpkidval5_web Wpkidval2500_web

The results are a sweet and adorable keepsake, a place to save this year's greetings in style!

Tomoko Takahasi also went to work creating with this little sweetheart:

And her little purse is a quick and easy creation every little girl will LOVE:

First, Tomoko folded the foundation of her purse from a sheet of patterned cardstock, cutting coordinating sheets as accents and then helping her daughter adhere them on:

Tomoko-3_web Tomoko4_web

Once they had the background created, they cut a strip of paper for the handle and covered it in Washi Tape. Tomoko6_web

Next, they created the button to secure the purse together:

And all that was left was to decorate this beauty! And they did! The Quick Picks bows are the perfect addition for any little girl's purse, don't you think?

Simple. Sweet and fun to make. Hope you're creating memories with your little ones this weekend!

Quick, Easy & Beautiful

So, we've shown you how our products work for quick and easy memory keeping, and we're not quite finished with that yet. Today we're sharing quick and easy photo sleeves from Designer Iris Babao Uy.
Iris is a die-hard scrapbooker, but when she has tons of photos from an event or simply wants to get her pictures off the computer, she turns to this style...and Modern Romance is an ideal fit!

Here, you can see how Iris has cut the motifs from this paper to create cards for the smaller sleeves. Then, she cut additional patterns and rounded the edges for the larger sleeves at the bottom, decorating with just a few embellishments to keep this page looking clean and beautiful.

Of course, Modern Romance and Sweet Notes are on our minds right now with Valentine's Day right around the corner, and we still love traditional scrapbook pages, especially ones as inspiring as this one from Designer Nina Ostermann:Nina1_web

We absolutely LOVE the way Nina hand stitched her softly colored sunbursts and there are so many fun details she's added, like the adorable camera popping out behind the photo mat.

Whatever your style, we've got something that is sure to fit! Be sure to head over to our website and stock up on Sweet Notes, Modern Romance or any other Webster's Pages favorites today!

a new relationship ? and a brave change

i love

You know...

the good ones.

the ones that surround you with support & love & unselfish ways.

the kind we all should have.

The kind that we DO have with someone very special that is leaving the Webster's Pages team to be VERY Brave.

She is listening to her heart, following her dreams & doing what she was MADE to do.

I am so proud of her.

Courtney Walsh, our current PR Manager, will be stepping down from her PR Manager role this month to follow her heart & plans to dedicate more of herself to her creative & writing career. Courtney has done so much for Webster's Pages Products, the Community, our Team & me. Before I really knew Courtney she commented on a blog post I did about a friend & business colleage of mine, Terri Hayes. The title of the blog post was "An Unexpected Friendship". She told me years ago when I wrote it how much she liked that blog post. It's funny how you remember little things like that because now Courtney also is that "Unexpected Friendship". A friendship that will last a lifetime. Yep, it's one of those. xo me tell you about a new relationship.

You know those "funny" little things/moments/thoughts that you sometimes have when you meet a person (usually rare though)...and never REALLY know why that person sticks with you but they "just do"...well, let me introduce you to someone that made an impact on me, years ago.

...there wasn't really anything professionally that we talked about.

...there wasn't really anything specific that we said we would do together one day.

It was just this feeling I had for years. Strange, I know.

But when Courtney & I had the discussion about her leaving to spend more time on writing & creating, this one "funny" feeling about this one girl came to mind.

Her name is Christi Cuendet and I am honored & excited to announce that she will ne our new PR & Executive Accounts Manager! Here is a little about Christi, from Christi :o)

And a new relationship has begun ?

Getting to Know {Tanya & Kerry Lynn}

Today we continue our "Getting to Know You" with two more fabulous designers who've recently joined our family.

First, take a peek at this adorable layout from Tanya Batrak:

Name: Tanya Batrak

Where you live: Ukraine, Kiev

How long have you been scrapbooking?

I have been scrapbooking since May 2009. When I was pregnant I decided to make an album about my baby. So I’ve started browsing in the web and this is how I have found about scrapbooking. Can you believe it! I who love photographing, painting, sewing, crafting have never heard about it before. I was amazed, it appeared to be a hobby which combines everything I love.

Where do you find your inspiration?

It may sound trivial but I find it everywhere. My family, my friends, their pictures, their expressions, paper, embellishments, colors or pattern on my neighbor’s jacket, quotes, watercolor painting or avant-garde graphic, magazines…But the main point is that you need to open your mind to able to spy interesting details and ideas in unexpected place. You may browse galleries and Pinterest all day in a search of inspiration looking thought hundreds of pictures and you will be wasting your time if you do not train your mind to spy details. Recently I’ve read a wonderful book "The Creative Habit" written by Twyla Tharp, lots of ideas and advices.

Do you create better alone or with friends? With food/drinks or without? With or without music?

I prefer to create alone. When there is a cloud of people around me I can’t concentrate. While crafting I always drink latte or green tea and listen to audiobooks. I rarely turn music on.

What color combos are inspiring you right now?

I just adore yellow and gray colors. They are my favs right now. I already want Spring to come so a little bit of pink, peach and green will suit as well.

Favorite new WP products?

Sweet Notes and Composition and Color are my favorite! I love the design--so bright, so colorful. And the cards overlays, Washi Tapes and mini bags are so cute! Taking into account that this year I started Project Life these little helpers definitely come in handy.

What scrapbooking trends are your favorites? (Could include trends from days gone by…what would you bring back if you could?)

To my love for chevron and circles two more trends have been added recently. And they are arrows and b&w stripes. They all are multipurpose and you can use them in any project you like. And they will look good!

Now, get to know the fabulous Kerry Lynn Yeary:

Name: Kerry Lynn Yeary

Where you live: Northern California

1. How long have you been scrapbooking?

7 years

2. Where do you find your inspiration?

Magazines, vintage fabric, vintage & antique store trips, flea market finds, pinterest and my favorite design blogs.

3. Do you create better alone or with friends? With food/drinks or without? With or without music?

Definitely alone, although I've gotten together with some dear girlfriends on occasion to hangout and make things I've always been the first to say that I'm not a good "public crafter" as I tend to talk the most and do the least.

4. What color combos are inspiring you right now?

Teal blue, gunmetal gray and mustard yellow. i definitely have spring on the brain.

5. Favorite new WP products?

Everything in Allison's new lines and the charms and resin embellishments, I have plans to make a new necklace with some of them.

6. What scrapbooking trends are your favorite?

I'm a big project life convert after doing it last year

7. Where do you blog? although you can find me more frequently on instagram at Kerry Lynn Yeary.

We have loved getting to know these girls a little better and know that in the coming year they are going to inspire your socks off... we can hardly wait to see what they do next!

Getting to Know {Candice & Piradee}

Around here, we LOVE to add new members to our family, so we're thrilled we get to tell you a bit more about our brand new Design Team members...we thought you should get to know the people behind the inspiration.

You may recognize Candice Elliott's gorgeous work... Sweet-Love_web

We LOVE her graphic style and the fun way she incorporates patterns. Her Sweet Notes layout is pure eye candy!

We were feeling nosy so we decided to ask Candice a little more about herself...

Where You Live: Reseda, CA USA
1. How long have been scrapbooking?
I have been scrapbooking a little over 8 years. I started when my son was born.
2. Where do you find inspiration?
EVERYWHERE! LOL! There is no specific thing or place I go to all the time. I could be out and see an advertisement, at the mall and see a display, online, etc. The main thing for me is to keep my eyes open to everything because inspiration is all around us.
3. What color combos are inspiring you right now?
I have been stuck on yellow, pink, sky blue, and gray! Everytime I see that combo in any way I swoon!
4. Favorite new WP products?
I have to say the entire collection of Allison Kreft Composition and Color! It is just an amazing collection of design and color!
5. What scrapbooking trends are your favorite?
I am so in love with layering. There are so many little tiny details and techniques that can be combined together. Love it!!!
We're also thrilled to share a little bit more about Piradee Talvanna, the designer of this beautiful mini album which features our brand new Modern Romance collection

Headshot - Piradee21. How long have you been scrapbooking?

I've been scrapping since 2008 when I relocated to Singapore; I'm originally from Bangkok, Thailand. I've been addicted ever since, always doing a little bit of scrapbooking every week.

2. Where do you find your inspiration?

Everywhere!  Mostly my inspiration comes from the products themselves as I tend to create first and then figure out which pictures I want to include. Also from time to time you'll find me looking through the various Pinterest boards; it's just amazing what you can find there.

3. What color combos are inspiring you right now?

The moment, it's all about gold and turquoise/teal and yellow!

4. Favorite new WP products?

Everything! But double loving the mini bags and fun washi tape designs.

5. Where do you blog?

You can always find me here

We know you're going to be just as inspired by these girls as we are! Come back tomorrow as we get to know Kerry Lynn & Tanya and share inspiring pieces from both of them!

Crafting With Kids {Handmade Valentine's}

Valentine's Day is just around the corner, and of course, you could run to the store and pick up a box of store-bought Valentine's.

Or, you could spend a little time with your little one and create some beautiful, handmade, one-of-a-kind greetings no kid will want to toss in the trash bin!

Today we're sharing some inspiring designs from Jaz Lee, who, together with her daughter, created this assortment of Valentine goodies:

Crafting with kids is such a great way to instill in them a love for creating...and with your guidance, they can learn to cut, punch and glue their way to beautiful and unique greetings!

Find little tasks for your kids to do, cutting out motifs or punching borders, and you can help them create so many things they can be proud of!

We love how Jaz and her daughter wrapped these sweet candies in punched cardstock from our Modern Romance collection. What a cute and clever way to send a Valentine greeting! Notice she also used her papers to wrap boxes of goodies...a brilliant idea!

There are so many fun ways to get your kids involved in your crafting...why not check out Sweet Notes and Modern Romance for all your LOVEly needs?
