Imagine Art Journal Pages

Hello Ronda here.  I am so excited to share with you today how to use die-cuts, Textured Impressions, and Texture Fades in your art journals.  I love that I can mix in different techniques using these pieces to create something I totally love. To start this particular page, I added gesso to my watercolor art journal page. I like to use paper tape or  washi tape on the seams to give them

Halloween Surprise!

I know it might seem early, but by late July, I am sick of summer and ready to start fall crafting! Add to that the fantastic Halloween and Christmas products that were released at CHA last week and you can see why I was so excited to create this project. This little Halloween piece was featured in the Sizzix booth. It all began as a lowly paper mache box from my local craft store. It makes

Flip-it Card Make and Take

Hello, Friends! I thought I'd share a fun card with you today that we made at CHA last week.  It's original design was designed by my Design Team Member, Laura Williams.  I modified it a bit, to make it a great Make and Take. Of course it uses a Flip-it Card Die.  ;)  I'm truly addicted!  :)  They are so quick and easy! The card includes two of my new stamp and Framelits sets that will

Summertime Memories Mini-Album...

Hi everyone!  I love creating mini-albums, they're quick, easy and fun, and usually produce immediate gratification, which is great for me.  It always helps too when you find a product to not only make mini albums quick, but unique as well.  When I spotted this Pocket Page & Tag Bigz Pro Die, I instantly thought of a million little albums I could create with it, so I gave it a try, and boy did

I Spy Saturday July 21

Hi everyone!  Jan Hobbins from the DT here, with my three picks for I Spy Saturday.  It's been a lot of fun looking at all the projects using Sizzix products.  It was really hard to choose, there are so many creative and talented crafters out there.  Here's the three that I have chosen: I think we all have used butterflies in our creations, but how Teresa has used the Sizzix Bigz Butterfly to

Vintage Pockets

Hello everyone! Today, I have some pockets filled with pretty little vintage findings to share with you. I have been holding on to the Pocket Envelope Die because I knew it was going to be at the top of my list for "favorite" dies (seriously, all Sizzix dies are my favorites!) so, I had to think of something special to do with it. I have to say, this little die has captured my shabby heart for

Altered Notebook

Hi everyone! Anna-Karin here with a fun altered notebook tutorial, using the Word Play and Love Birds dies: I constantly find things I want to alter, but the items often have to wait a long time before they get the attention they deserve. After spotting this little notebook in a grocery shop, I actually started altering it that very afternoon, must be a record! Here's the original notebook

I Spy Saturday July 14

Hello everyone! Anna-Karin from the DT here with some gorgeous I Spy Saturday picks. I've spied tons of stunning projects using Sizzix products and finally ending up picking these three: Vivian had linked this clever mini book to a previous I Spy Saturday post. She made it as a gift for her mom. Mini books make such great gifts, I need to remember to make them more often. I love how she

Hi everyone! Gretchen here bringing you another tutorial featuring Karen Burniston’s Pop `n Cut system. I paired the dies with some fun, new papers I recently purchased and it came together in a snap! Today I’ll be showing you how to make this cute Happy Happy Birthday To You card that has a floating star and a scallop border around the Pop `n Cut.   When I make a pop-up, I normally

Dress Form Gift Box

Hi Everyone, Jan Hobbins here with a tutorial (a rather long one, sorry!) on how I made this 3D dress form gift box. I love dress forms, but even more I love altering things and turning them into gifts or home décor. I decided to make this Sizzix dress form into a 3-d type of box and my imagination just took over and it didn't stop there!    This project is a little more involved, so

Summer Fans Pillow Cover

Hi, it's Amy and I am back with another fabric piecing project.  How about we sew some fans and think of cool breezes while it is hot and humid outside?  This 16" pillow cover uses three Sizzix dies: the Bigz L Die Fan Blade, the Bigz L Die Drunkards Path Arch Fan Background, and the Bigz Die Circles 1 1/2".    I wanted to make a pretty, feminine pillow so I chose a selection of prints

Framelits Flower Card

Happy Monday to you!  Did you know that you can make shaped cards with Framelits dies? It's very easy. Just cut, score and fold your cardstock like you normally do and then line up your Framelit die so that just a smoodge (technical term) of the cardstock at the fold line is just below the cutting edge of the die. If you are using very heavy cardstock you may need to run the die through

Pop 'n Cuts Video Interview

At the CHA Winter show in Anaheim last January I had the great pleasure to be interviewed by my friend Jonathan Fong about the new Pop 'n Cuts dies. Since they are shipping to stores right now, I thought you might enjoy seeing the interview. The area where this display was set up was a high-traffic area within the booth, so what you don't see is all the people who walked through the shot as

On the Edge Tag Toppers

I love making art tags, especially tags with embossed or stamped backgrounds.  My favorite tag size is the #8, which is the size of the tag on the Tim Holtz Tag & Bookplate die.  What I don't love, is when my embossed background or stamped image isn't big enough to cover the entire tag from top to bottom.  My solution is to make a tag topper to hide where my design is too short. Begin by

Fourth of July!

Hooray for the red, white and blue! Eileen Hull here...  The Fourth of July is a very special holiday to me. We are a military family with 20 years in the army, an army son (currently deployed in Afghanistan) and daughter and SIL both in the Coast Guard (who just had their first baby two days ago!). Life in the military is hard to explain to those who have not experienced it, but it
