So Spooky! Tim Holtz Bell Jar + Stamp2Cut Card

The second I saw the new Tim Holtz Bell Jar die (shipping in September) I knew right away that I needed to make a Halloween card with a creepy skull under the glass dome.  As luck would have it, the brand new Tim Holtz stamps released also at the summer CHA show included a skull sized perfectly for the bell jar!    To begin my card, I cut a piece of Specialty Stamping Paper to fit my card

Pop 'n Cuts "Just Saying Hello" Card

Here's a quick and easy Pop 'n Cuts card idea: Cut a 5" x 12" strip of red cardstock and die cut a Pop 'n Cuts backing card by removing the insert from the A2 Pop 'n Cuts Base die. Fold the backing card in half. Add the Hello Insert to the A2 Pop 'n Cuts Base die and slide it until it touches. Check that the tick marks in the center line up and then cover the die cutting area with patterned

Four Flowerpots

Hi everyone! Today I (Anna-Karin) have a fun tutorial to share using Eileen Hull's Candy Cup ScoreBoards die. When I first spotted that die, I thought it would make a cute flower pot, and I went a bit crazy and ended up making four different ones. These flower pots would work great as little gifts, in place of a card for someone's birthday, and as ornaments, especially great for those who

High Flying Owl!

Hi everyone! I'm filling in for Stephanie Barnard today with a shaped card project that features the 57694 Sizix Bigz Owl #2 from new Happi Baby die line from Dena Designs and the 657581 Sizzix Framelits Die/stamp set Kites from Stephanie Barnard. These dies all worked together so perfectly! I grinned the whole time I was putting this card together.  I Love it when a plan comes together. :)

Halloween Ornament

Yes, you read that right, HALLOWEEN! I am a HUGE Halloween fan and love all the fun decorations it brings (And candy! Yum!) I always jump right into Halloween crafting the second all the paper company's start releasing their new Halloween collections. So fun! I created this ornament with a mix of an SVG files, manual dies, and an image that I 'traced' in eCal and cut with my eclips! I had a

I Spy Saturday August 18

Hi everyone and happy Saturday! Anna-Karin from the DT here with this week's I Spy Saturday post. As always, I had lots of fun looking at all the creative ways in which people use Sizzix dies and embossing folders. I've picked three different projects to showcase today. I had a hard time picking just one project to feature from Sandra Mouwen's blog. Finally, I settled for this vibrant Dare

Love Art Journal Page

Hi there!  It's Ronda here today with a colorful art journal step by step for you!  I love layers.  I love LOVE so why not combine the two using Karen Burniston's Love Sizzlits Die Set? I started with a 9 x 6 (half of a 9x12 piece) watercolor piece of paper coated with a little bit of black gesso.  Next, I die cut 7 "love" out of the other half of the watercolor paper. To add some texture

Vintage Embellishment Chest

I first saw Eileen Hull's amazing Candy Drawer die at the Winter CHA show. She had created a little chest with it and I couldn't wait to try one myself. The style of my chest was inspired by a photo of an abandoned storage unit I first saw on Pinterest. I hope you're inspired to make one yourself! Begin by die cutting 12 pieces of chipboard using the Candy Drawer die. Paint one edge of

Hydrangeas Card

Hello everyone! Today, I have a card tutorial to share with you. It uses the pretty little Borders and Hydrangeas Die, designed by Eileen Hull. I love anything flowers, as I am sure you have already guessed that, being that there is always some sort of flower/flowers on my projects. To begin, make your card base measuring 5 1/4" X 51/4" from cardstock. Using the Borders and Hydrangeas Die

Faux embossed background

Hi everyone!  Don't you just love the look of embossed paper?  It really makes you want to run your fingers over it to feel the texture.  Did you know that you can create your own faux embossed paper by using border diecuts?  Well you certainly can, and I knew when I saw Tim Holtz's Vintage Lace borders, I was going to create such a background.   It's a very simple process actually and

Die Cut Bird Sachet

I recently took the time to spring clean my closet. After having recently moved, I had a few items that had a sort of moving aroma to them. I needed to freshen up some of my apparel. When I received this great bird die cut from Sizzix, I had a brainstorm to create some sachets to freshen up my closet. Burlap makes the best substrate to make these sachets as its breathable and also really pretty.

Hi everyone- Eileen here again! Hope your summers are swimming along nicely. I'd like to show you a project I made using the Candy Drawer die from my Sweet Treats collection. This is one of my favorite dies because there is so much you can do with it. Depending on how it is assembled, you can make a drawer or gift box using the same pieces. I'll be showing how to assemble the die as a box

Saying "I Do" to a Wedding Pop-Up Guest Book

Hi everyone, it's Jonathan Fong with a guest post about a guest book. (How apropos.) Ever since I became addicted to Karen Burniston's pop-up dies, I've been wanting to make a pop-up book. Well, I got the perfect opportunity to make a pop-up recently when I was designing a wedding, and the bride and groom asked

Seaglass Waves

I'm sneaking in one more summertime project before autumn arrives here in New England. I'm calling this pillow Seaglass Waves. It was so fun to create and would look smashing on a wicker sofa on a porch by the sea! This tutorial will take you through the steps to make a single 18" quilted pillow cover but you could follow the same steps and simply go bigger to create a table runner or quilt.
