Social Butterfly

Our “Social Butterfly” stamp set has become a Designer favorite. It’s so much fun to work with. I challenged myself to create a Clean & Simple set of cards along with a collage pair. I was surprised at how differently my card sets turned out!

My collage cards were inspired by the divine Heather Telford. She recently posted a tutorial video on how she creates her amazing collages. You can view her video HERE.

My Clean & Simple set includs a black-emobossed and trimmed butterfly mounted with foam tape. The colorful backgrounds were done with “Flower Flourish“.

Join us tomorrow for another tutorial video by Cathy! You’ll love her dancing Mimi.

Notecard Sets

Hello everyone…  Notecard sets are fun to crate and so nice to have on hand!  First up is a notecard set in three easy stamping steps. I inked an acrylic block with green and gold (using Heather’s method seen HERE) and applied it directly to my card base, stamped the rose (Love Assortment) in plum, then a greeting in a darker green.

by Cathy Andronicou; Using Petal Party and Rose Garden Mix & Match Cardstock. Cathy created a hinged box to hold notelets and envelopes, stamped flower onto white cardstock and then smaller flower onto red vellum. Cathy trimmed, layered, and mounted images with a gem brad onto a white panel that had been stamped with leaves. Repeated for pink flower but omitted vellum.

by Heather Telford; Set of single colour note cards, three feminine and one masculine using border stamps from Lace Delight and Puzzle Parts. Sentiments are Flourish Thank You, Special Time, and from Round & Round and Free Flight.

Join us tomorrow as we celebrate the Olympics!

Accordian Folds by Kathy

Kathy Racoosin is here to share a pair of cards she created using accordian folds as a decorative element;

The accordion fold was embossed in clear on kraft paper, stamped and distressed. Using a bone folder and a scoring board, Kathy scored the stamped background. Kathy used a more simple accordion fold on her second card. All of the elements are paper scraps.

SUPPLIES: SRM Stickers, Flower Flourish #40-136, Wall Paper Print #40-134, Social Butterfly #30-116, Spellbinders Labels 25.
