the two peas hand model.

guess whose hands are holding all those stamps?  yep, that's me.  apparently i'm the official two peas hand model.  crack me up.  this is my second hand modeling gig.  just another glamorous day in the life of mellypea.    actually i love that there's a personal aspect behind the ad and that from a simple photo, our graphic designer came up with this eye catching ad.  fun stuff!

november pea profiles.

today is the 25th which means another round of pea profiles!  it's always a treat to see what people create with the product we send them.  here are a few of my favorites - so many to choose from!  you can see all of the pea profile projects here.

love how katie watson framed the flocked dot doodlebug paper inside the diecut paper - something i definitely need to replicate!

adore this titlework from norascrapsmac.  also love the journaling strips.  such a fun combination of papers.

love all the little bits that alexis included in her layout.  and the colors just work so well together!

this layout from winks makes me want to get out one of my journaling books and do something similar!  so simply done but with a stunning effect.

*paula* was so clever to create her own photo mat on her layout with complimenting patterned papers and then to finish it off with some machine stitching.  a great end result.

there's just something about this layout from hyperstarre that i love.  i think it's the use of colors grounded on the grey cardstock.  it just works.

today's warehouse walk.

it's tuesday - which can only mean one thing, it's warehouse walking day...

love the colors of cosmo cricket's chemistry collection.  not traditional love themed colors.  really fun patterns as well!

love that in one paper pack from we r memory keepers - papers, punchouts, stickers - everything all in one.

cute, cute, cute.  love these braddies from doodlebug.  shapes, glittered and flocked - oh my!

flocked alpha stickers without any work on my part?  don't mind if i do!  more fun stuff from doodlebug.

one of the fun new dies from quickutz.  their new designs make me think of sassafras lass - they'd be a great combination.  and that puppy in the background?  that's aretmis.

a short tour this week as we're still whirling from our super mega sale and gearing up for our black friday sale...

this week's digital kit releases.

eek, it is thursday instead of tuesday but wanted to make sure i posted about this week's digital kit releases nonetheless.  there were 36 new digital kits released in the store this week.  THIRTY SIX!  so many great kits - you can see them all here.

here are a few of my favorites :

love this border set from rhonna.  i can see so many uses for them in my head.  thinking i'm going to have to find a way to sneak them onto our christmas card at least.

you can never have enough patterned paper with grids and the like, at least in my humble opinion.  love this legibles kit from meredith fenwick.  something i can see someone coming back and using over and over and over...

a kit from our newest designer, carina gardner.  love her style.  it's not something i could ever create in a lifetime if i tried so i love that i could simply plop in some photos and be done thanks to her bella album kit!

these labels from erica hernandez are just so me.  i've already put them to good use.  i'm thinking i'll next make them into some mama business cards for myself to keep in my diaper bag.  i'm tired of scribbling down my name and info on a napkin or whatever is handy and these would surely put an end to it!

serious cutness from danielle thompson.  love this printable kit.  i have plans to buy my niece books for the holidays and already have these bookplates on the inside cover for her.

and the queen of quirk has the me loving yellow lately.  love how she put this album together and all you have to do is drop in your photos and send it to print.  pretty much the easiest holiday gift ever.

37 day holiday countdown.

something new starting today on the site.  our own version of a holiday calendar.  each and every day leading up to christmas we'll be sharing projects made by a garden girl.  a tag, an ornament and a card.  you'll notice the banner says 36 days, but since we added a new garden girl last week we wanted to make sure we included everyone - so 37 days it is!

chelsea parsons starts off our holiday countdown with this project :

be sure to check out the new project each day in the designer garden!  we hope you're inspired to create your own cards, ornaments and tags as you prepare to celebrate the holidays.

november guest garden girl.

always love seeing what the guest garden girl does each month and this month is no exception.  lisa - aka gluestickgirl - created such great projects and totally made me rethink how to use product.

like this project for example.  she used the box the making memories falala embellishments came in to create her own thanksgiving shadowbox to keep tags listing what her family is thankful for in.  clever, clever!

you can see more of lisa's ggg work here.

super mega sale.

i wanted to call it the "kristina has gone krazy" sale, but i was vetoed.  i guess when she's the boss she has that right.  but i still like my idea...   regardless, when she says super mega sale, she truly meant it.

if you haven't taken a peek at the 165+ pages of sale items, you are missing out!  i went through and gasped at the deals i was able to snag.  and that was only at first glance.  i need to go through again and pick out some items for stocking stuffers for my mother and sister-in-law.  definite brownie points for me, don't you think?

this week's warehouse walk.

another tuesday, another walk through the warehouse.  let's get started, shall we?

a great holiday set for your silhouette - lots of great designs in this holly kit.

lots of new goodies from jenni bowlin.  love the holiday and love themed bingo cards and these great calendars.

always love the lines that cosmo crickets releases.  their oh joy collection for the holidays is no exception!

love this really versatile numbers lace style cardstock from creative cafe - i put some white paper behind it for you to see it a little better.

more great product from creative cafe : these floral papers have a great dot pattern on the back that i absolutely love.  a lot of uses which means more products i can use them for for the price of one sheet.  and these stickers are great in that some are already preprinted for you and the rest are left for you to personalize.

oh to be a fly on the wall of rhonna farrer's creative mind!  i imagine it would look something like the product from her new urban junque line.

i showed a bit of it still in the box last week, but this week i was able to get a great up close look at the newest collections from pink paislee.  they have such great patterns and color combinations.

these are on my current wish list - photo albums from ki memories.  love the prints on the covers of these two-up albums.

love how american crafts has packaged their complete patterned paper collections and cardstock - so clever in that you can flip through all the papers while still in the package.

last week i shared photos of the 7 gypsies album boxes.  this week, i found these paper and embellishment storage boxes from chatterbox - so pretty!

love these verb stickers from heidi swapp that pea1 pointed out to me.  there are two sheets - one black, one red.  love the mix of heidi's handwriting and the great typeface.

and just for fun...  that's my reflection in the cover of the heidi swapp mirror album.  that could make for a really cool project.  a holiday album with lots of bling, perhaps?

that does it for this week's tour.  i'd love to hear what you think of these products or if you'd like a closer look at something, let me know and i'll include it next week!

home for the holidays digital kits.

these digital kits are perfect for your holiday projects - take a look!

great digital brush stamps from tia bennet - these would be great on any of your paper crafts for the upcoming year, too!

i'm thinking of making an advent bulletin board of sorts with this advent numbers tag set from erica hernandez.

kate teague has made it easy to make a mini album in a cd holder with her countdown to christmas kit.  you could also include these in a mini album.  thinking i might have to work on something with this kit this weekend!

and last but certainly not least, holly brook jones has her 31 days of the month numbers - again, perfect for any holiday countdown projects as well as any of your paper crafts.

enjoy!  can't wait to see what you create with these!

this week's warehouse walk.

i've begun taking so many photos during my weekly warehouse walks that it takes me a bit longer to get everything up on my blog - sorry about that.  i'm hoping someone is still enjoying the photos and inside scoop as i haven't heard from anyone in a bit.  hint, hint!

these 7 gypsies stamps aren't new, but they're new to me so i'm including them.  such a versatile set - love the shapes they've included.

these exposed frames from k&co. are now 75% off - what a great holiday gift!  either for you to use as a project or as a stocking stuffer for your kids.  something for them to do over their winter break, perhaps?

more amy butler goodness.  that green matches a wall in my kitchen.  and the grey is similar to the color in my dining room.  think i'm going to snag a few pieces of this glittered paper to frame...

new round stamp trios from 7 gypsies.   love the themes they came out with this time.  then again, i usually love whatever they happen to introduce.

another great idea for the upcoming holidays and any albums you might be making.  these 7 gypsies album boxes are a great way to not only store an album, but to put it in for easy wrapping and safekeeping.

i can see using this monogram stamp set a LOT.  i'd use it on envelopes as i love to decorate the mail i'm sending out.  and i'm thinking they'd also make some classy gift tags as well.

in case you hadn't noticed, all organizational supplies are on 30% off this week.  these embellishment drawers from cropper hopper are included.

another holiday idea and an easy way to get your cards completed.  making memories introduced several different holiday card kits with everything you need to complete them included within the kit.  super simple.  yet nobody will know how easy it was.

the jolly revolution holiday gift kit is so great - love the typeface that they chose for it.  so classy.  the holly gift kit should be arriving in the store any day.

i'm thinking this is my favorite 2009 calendar that i've seen so far.  love how sei already printed the dates and holidays in for me and i can just add stickers and photos and be done!

if you haven't tried the new dotted swiss cardstock from bazzill, what are you waiting for?  such a great subtle texture and design.  love that this color is called grape jelly.

a new set of stamps from autumn leaves.  love those lined stamps for journaling!  [should be in the store shortly!]

more amy butler - but you can't ever tire of it, can you?  i hadn't noticed these fabric tags - LOVE them!

another great stocking stuffer idea - the tool taxi from fiskars.  something also good to take to crops - all the tools you might need in one handy tool.  think of it as a swiss army knife for paper crafters.

we've had several peas asked if we were going to carry these clearly mixed up albums from bo bunny.  take this as proof that we are!  they should be in the store shortly!

sigh.  so much holiday paper goodness from pink paislee.  this should be in the store shortly.  please don't take all of it as i'd like some too!  gorgeous stuff.

and i might as well share one more amy butler product as well as another stocking stuffer idea.  these are the cutest brag books ever!  thinking that my sister-in-law and mother-in-law will both be receiving these for christmas.

until next week...

tuesday digital kit release.

another tuesday means more new digital kits released today.  following are a few of my favorites from this week.  you can see all digital kits released today here.

i'll definitely be printing these out and using them as a placecard of sorts for thanksgiving this year.  how cool would it be to bind everyone's list together in a mini book and look through it the next year?

who knew bugs could be fun and funky?  love this kit from chelsea parsons.  such a unique look about it.

i love when our designers do this!  they make a template for a physical product that two peas carries.  so clever - and so easy for someone to use.  this template for the maya road calendar would make a quick and easy holiday gift or stocking stuffer.

that tia bennett is such an artist.  love this kit of her original watercolor art.  so pretty!

how fun would it be to take this kit from rhonna and then simply frame the end result.  instant artwork!  i do have an empty wall in my house - this could be the perfect solution.

so dainty and pretty.  and likely to be falling from the sky come later this week here in peatown.  love these snowflakes from our newest digital designer, holly brooke jones.

perfect for the halloween photos you just took last week as well as the holiday photos you'll be taking soon enough!  this is definitely one mega kit from kate teague!

love the colors of danielle thompson's matilda kits.  so fresh and vibrant!  and that vintage lace is such a great embellishment.

two peas + shimelle = journal your christmas.

two peas in a bucket is thrilled to announce that we are sponsoring shimelle's journal your christmas class!  shimelle's annual class is always a hot topic and is a popular one to complete.  and did you know that by paying to participate one year that you're able to participate every year after for free?  very cool!

here's a class description :

Yes. It is that time of year. Christmas chocolates are out. Special shopping bags are in the stores. I’ve even heard a few Christmas carols here and there.

To me, that means it’s time to get ready for Journaling my Christmas. Something that started so many Christmases ago now as just a book I kept for myself as a way to reclaim my Christmas and put a happy ending to a year that had been anything but fabulous. And it worked. So from there, I shared it with a small group of people…most of whom I knew in real life…that next Christmas. And after that, well…it’s something that has grown and grown, to include scrappers, artists, photographers and writers from more than thirty countries. And it really is my favourite time of the year.

Now is the time when you can join in too. Journal your Christmas is an online class that helps you document the holiday season for you and your family. The class starts December 1st and goes through the 6th of January—the twelfth day of Christmas. Every day, you receive a prompt with a theme for that day’s page, writing to get you started and pictures of pages from a range of talented artists, all designed to let you decide if you want to take your time to make something original and from scratch or work quickly by borrowing ideas from others.

You work with your own stash of supplies—choose what you already own or buy a kit to make things even easier — and you’ll see a mix of Christmas themed accents alongside supplies that wouldn’t necessarily scream Christmas at all. You can work in any format or size. You decide how much or how little you do every day.

And to really make that work, once you join, you’re in forever. So you can join us this Christmas and make as many pages as you like without the pressure to try to finish everything in a limited time frame. Because next Christmas? You’re still in, and you can add to what you already made. Some of the original participants are working on one album compiled over five years while others have a stack of five completed albums, each documenting just one year. Whatever works for you is the key.

I know it can be pretty tough to find time to scrap every day in December, so there are tips to help with that too. Before the official start of the class, you’ll receive tips and sketches for preparing your supplies and book so you can minimise some of more time consuming work when you are at your busiest during Christmas. It can also help if you need to put your crafting supplies away during the holidays to make room for extra guests or presents that need a place to hide.

All participants have access to a private forum where you have permanent access to all the class materials in case you accidentally delete an email or feel like working on your album in July.  You can chat and share your work with other participants too and view hundreds of pages that have been created through this class.

So, if you sign up for Journal your Christmas, you receive:

*37 daily prompts from December 1 to January 6

*November preparation prompts

*Bonus prompts that include audio messages, printable accents and other surprises

*Access to a private forum for members to chat and share their work

*Access to a permanent archive of the course materials

*Ongoing membership for every Christmas that you would like to participate.
