I am creative, but not particularly artistic. And, I love making cards and scrapbooking. I love stamping, running, traveling, reading, spending time at the beach, hiking, and hanging out with friends and laughing.

I recently finished several years of traveling the world with my husband...by motorcycle and expedition rig! We visited many countries in hopes of gaining a better understanding of the cultures, history and people. It was an amazing experience and we feel very blessed to have had this opportunity. We hope to publish our journals and photos (there are thousands!) some day - we feel that it's very important to share what we have seen and learned during this amazing adventure.

Update 6/08: And, we're off again! In July of 2007 we started on the next adventure. Beginning in the US, with a trip across the states between CA and AR, we have since traveled to South America where we are spending a year and a half.

Updated late 2009:
Well, we're back in the US, for now. Yes, SE Asia, Northern Africa and other countries are still on the horizon, but we'll be home for a bit. Check back periodically for updates!

Update 4/13/13: No travel for now, too busy with my new baby: PaperCrafter's Corner!

My Two Peas Story

It All Started Right Here...Six Years & 10K Posts Ago!

Back in January 2003, I attended a class at my LSS. The teacher mentioned some places to visit to learn more about scrapping, a hobby I was just getting into after being a long-time card maker and crafter. One of those places was a place with a very unusual name: Two Peas in a Bucket.

Hmmm....I'll have to check that out I thought to myself.

A few days later I did just that. I lurked for a short while and then decided to take the plunge and to become a Pea! Looking back, I am sure it was a life-altering decision for me. How, you might ask? Well, I now count many wonderful gals among my friends both on the WWW and in real-life. You see, shortly after becoming a member, I posted an open invitation to my local Peas, those gals who live in or near San Diego, who might want to meet other Peas in person. That first crop was the start of making some wonderful new friends, friends I am close to even now (and hopefully for the rest of my life). I am sure I never would have met these wonderful ladies had it not been for our common connection - we were all Peas.

Then, I decided to make a few trips across the country for various scrapping events and posted asking the Peas in those areas if they might want to get together during my visits. And you know what? They were more than willing and I now count them among my distant friends - from Northern California to Oregon to Pennsylvania to NY to South Carolina to TX and back, I have many wonderful Pea friends whom I stay in touch with and enjoy hearing from.

I am so very thankful for all the laughs, and even for the tears, that I have shared with my fellow Peas; for the openness and sharing; for the frank discussions (even when they might have become a bit heated); for the knowledge I have gained (about so many different topics); for the prayers and well wishes I received when I really needed them; and; for the commoraderie while I have been traveling around the world - I always know my Peas are just an internet connection away when I am longing for a piece of home or missing my girlfriends.

Last month I completed my 2Peas 10K - 10,000 posts - and I celebrated by taking photos (of course!) of my posting #10,000 and by toasting my luck at finding this "home" with a nice glass of Chilean wine.

You Peas rock, I tell ya!
